Few days back my os stopped to start in any mode and shows a black screen.so decided to re install windows and installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit os.After a few days i came to know this is a pirated copy .so now i have to revert back to pre-installed of laptop.i have a recovery cd from samsung and have a partirion named SAMSUNG_REC(E).

I decided to clean install the 32 bit version of Windows 7 to see if this would remedy the problem. I had purchased the Windows 7 Professional package so both discs were available to me. The CS4 situation did not improve. However I am not concerned with the CS4 issue at present
what I would like to do is revert back to Windows 7 (64 bit) and I don't know how.
I went from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 (64 bit) to Windows 7 (32 bit)
and now I want to go back to Windows 7(64 bit) is this possible.
i had a terrible problem with a big quantity of extremely important photo files; i formatted a pen drive by error and now i cannot access my photos; the card in the camera card filed as fat; my computer only files in nfts; a window popped up telling i had to format; i didnt realized the risk and formatted; now i cannot open the files because for sure they now are nfts; how could i revert the mistake i did?, there should be a way of reverting from nfts to fat, isnt it?

The problem is I changed the folder permissions of C:Program Files and C:Program Files (x86) to Deny for all users. These included
Authenticated Users
System
Administrators
Users
I was logged in with an Administrator Account. Now the problem is I cannot access the above folders with any user. All my applications installed in those folders do not work.
I tried several solutions available on the net like changing ownership, using THE Administrator account, etc but to no avail and these folders are still locked.
Is there anyway I can access these files or shall I resort to the ultimate step i.e. re-install windows.
I've accidently set another .cnf filetype to be known, as well. It's just so aggravating to see them have an icon as if they're good to open..how can I make them to open with nothing once again..?

I installed it, while installation it allowed to have only 4 partitions.it already had 2 partitions1) Recovery - 15gb2) something i forgot ... some 40MBso i made a partition of 125GB for OSand rest of unallocated space ie some 660gb could not be allocated in more than one partition so i let it be unallocatedso after installtion got completed and OS started i went in disk management and tried to make that unallocated space of 660GB in 2-3 partitions.but it converted all my previous partitions also to dynamic. even recovery partitions.ow do i go back to basic partitions?? particularly about that recovery partition and my C: (OS partition) ??
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo i returned to my work computer after lunch and the resolution had been changed to 800x600, very odd.Now i have spent 2 hours trying to get back my resolution to the 1680x1050 that is was before but i still can not choose anything higher then 1600x1200 under Screen Resolution settings. The one with the correct ratio i can choose is 1280x960 and i'd like to bigger one back.I have updated the driver for my graphics card (ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics accoridng to Device Manager). I have updated the driver for the Monitor (HP LE2201w), but the monitor still shows up as Generic Non-PnP Monitor under Device Manager and now i am out of ideas... I really have no idea what the hell happened when i was gone.(And yes, the computer was locked so it wasn't someone else changing something)Uninstalling the driver for the Generic device does nothing, it pops back up again after installing the correct display driver, or after a restart. It's like the display driver i downloaded from HP is not being installed, no idea why.

- Go to start > all programs > windows update > on the bottom left in that screen you see Installed updates, click it Now search for the Internet explorer 9 and possibly the language pack
If you have the language pack installed deinstall this First (no need to reboot, continue your work) and then deinstall Internet Explorer 9, reboot. Now you have your Internet Explorer 8 back. Possibly updates will need to be installed.
Firstly let me state that I know nothing about the inner workings of a PC although I consider myself to very familiar with using PCs.I have had to renew my PC hard drive as my 26month old one crashed. I now have a Dell Inspiron and to my dismay after it was set up and all files restored from my back up disk and I was ready to have a little time playing Solitaire - boring I know for all you gamers - but I like it. No preloaded games are available. The games folder is there but it is empty.

The installation went fine, but the problem is it seems to have taken over or just messed up the configuration for my touchpad. After installing, the touchpad moved really slowly even though i hadn't changed any settings, and the acceleration had turned off.I decided to uninstall the drivers to reverse the problem, but it didn't change. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the touchpad drivers (latest synaptics drivers, same ones i had installed before), but this didn't solve anything either. I've tried fiddling around with the mouse settings but everything is configured the way it was before, it's just not the same.I want my touchpad to go back to the way it was. Is there any way to get all the mouse settings back to the way they were when i installed windows or something like that?

The internet still works as I checked it by plugging it back into laptopThe pc is working all software etc. but there is no internet accesswhen internet works on laptop it says public network but on pc network is unidentified and i can't change it. I tried making a new connection but it asks for username and password and I've never done anything like that. Should i type one in and that creates the password etc. or would i need to have one to create it. I don't really know what the network thing is all about I'm a newb on that part.eI tried network trouble shooter and that didn't help either.
