Asus A54C-SX327S and no matter what I do whether I shutdown or hibernate it always powers back up on its own when the power in plugged in. If I unplug the power it shutsdown fine and I can plug the power back in and nothing happens, it just charges like a normal laptop.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Dell inspiron laptop with windows 7 - I have not had any help from Dell. The issue is that when i shut down my PC it starts to isntall updates and warns me not to shut off the PC. However the updates go on for ever. Every time I shut down, there are two or 10 updates. each update takes 1 hour and can go on to 48 hours. I cant do anything with the PC unitl the updates finish. I force it shut down but when i bring it back up it starts installing the updates. very frustrating. I am very disappointed with Dell because they wont help until I cerate a tech support with them for $300.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just built a new system today, and I have been running into some significant issues whenever I try to reboot. Basically, the system hangs up on the Starting Windows screen at the exact same instance whenever I reboot. This has been happening since I installed Windows 7 64-bit edition. After I booted and installed off of the installation DVD, it froze up on the first restart. I then tried to install Windows again. That worked, but it then again froze on the first reboot. I then had to manually shut down the pc and start it up again. Fortunately, it picked up where I left off and finished the Windows 7 install.After I installed Windows 7, I have had no problems whatsoever expect for when I restart, as the system freezes at the point specified on the image above. However, if I shut down my computer and then start it up, everything loads fine.
Here are my specs:

I bought a Dell XPS M1330 over a year ago and it came preloaded with Vista Home Premium. Since I want to keep the batteries in good condition I run the laptop with no battery connected and AC plugged in whenever it sits on my desk at home.
However, in Windows 7 it seems that Windows wants to put the laptop to sleep after 10-15 minutes if I do this. Since I have various USB devices plugged in, especially external storage, this is a problem. It goes away if I run with the battery plugged in but like I said, not verified yet.
I am having this problem for past a week.as soon as the charger is plugged into the laptop, the laptop gets automatically turn on (without pressing the power button).The laptop fully boot and not geving any other problem.A laptop should turn on only when the power button is pressed. What makes the power bypass the power button and turn on? i don't know why this stupid laptop behaving like this i am very frustrated now because when i plugged it in it gets boot and i have to manually shuts it down every time.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer Aspire 4743g. days back my Windows 7 Ultimate got Corrupted, so I cannot start my laptop so I cleaned it(Delete then Reinstalled the OS). Then It worked..But i have noticed another problem. my laptop freezes about 2 seconds then Starts up Again.. then freezes and un froze again... Then I am hearing some clicking sound on my disk drive on the right.(where I put DVD/CD's). And my laptop is 1 Year and 1 Month old, I haven't cleaned the fan. I think it has so many dust/oil in it that may also cause's my laptop to freeze from time to time. Then after about 10 minutes the Blue Screen of Death Appears!. It's so frustrating. I tried using Check Disk but it is stuck on the 4th Stage out of 5. like around 53k. I also tried defraging it. but nothing happens. I am in Safe mode now.
View 6 Replies View RelatedYesterday I wanted to use my HP laptop with my TV so I connected it using an hdmi cable. Everything connected fine and I opened up my cyberlink youcam software to adjust the camera settings. I got up for a minute to do something and when I came back the computer had gone to the blue screen of death (displayed right on the tv screen). The error was SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. This is the first time this happened so im not sure what to think. According to the HP website all of my drivers are up to date so I don't think that would be the problem.

Recently, I upgraded the houses' internet to fiber (or so its called in Chinese, living abroad in Shanghai BTW)and the within the first day of upgrading, I've seen a tremendous increase in internet speeds. However, within a day, a new problem also came up.Whenever I plug the ethernet cable into its port at the back of my PC, all the open programs suddenly stop responding, and then my PC freezes. I've tried booting up without the ethernet cable plugged in, and everything works perfectly. Yet the second I plug in the ethernet, everything stops working. The conditions are as follows: -I am unable to CTRL - ALT - DELETE to bring up task manager.- The mouse cursor is still moveable, but nothing can be clicked or selected-The cursor turns into the spinning loading circle, but never finishes whatever it's trying to do.I am forced to manually power down (hold the power button or unplug) the PC.However, rebooting in Safe Mode with Networking yields no problems. The internet connects just fine, and there is no freezing/lagging going on at all. I'm currently posting this from Safe mode w/ Networking. The conditions are pretty much the same when I plug in the ethernet cable to my Macbook. Chrome, or whatever I'm using simply stops responding, and I get the spinning rainbow pinwheel of doom. Forced to manually power off. This has also occurred to a friends' Macbook when he plugged in the Ethernet in an adjacent room.

My laptop wouldn't boot yesterday, the fan came on and the 'on' led came one, it beeped when I plugged in the charger but nothing on the screen and no post beeps etc. I let the battery drain fully, plugged it back in once it powered off and it booted fine. I shut it down last night and it did the same today on boot up, nothing. Again, discharging the battery fully brought it back.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've got a HP Pavilion g series laptop, which has recently, when being turned on, powering up as normal by turning the light of the power button on and lighting the screen, then quickly shutting these off again, and then continuing to turn on as normal.It hasnt been doing this for very long, I have no idea whether it is a serious problem or not as I don't know anything about computers. I must add that I don't use my laptop with the battery in; I use it with the battery out as I mostly use it plug into the mains.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Toshiba L305D S5895 laptop. Hdd=250, Mem=2GB, Windows Vista upgrd to Windows 7 Hm prem 64bit. System power indicators does not light up except when both battery and AC are connected. When one of them (the Battery or the AC adapter) alone is plugged in, it does not light up. When both is plugged and I hit the switch, it starts briefly showing the Toshiba logo and then shuts down and the light goes off. I have to unplug both batt and AC and reconnect them again to get the power lights up. Battery is abt 11% charge and the AC adapter is ok when I tested it on a multimeter. I did a reset of BIOS by by pressing Switch for 30 secs before reconnecting power, but it did not help.

I just restored my system because it was very slow despite having tuneup utilities 2013 working on disabling start up programs. Everything was great when I restored my system until I started installing programs again including tuneup utilities and it actually did more damage than good to my start ups so I decided to permanently uninstall the program and do everything with Windows functions like msconfig and stuff. My startups are way faster now but not as good as they used to be, after 10 minutes of using my computer everything becomes really fast like the old times but I would like to have this speed right at the start up because I know it's possible.

I load firefox, same issue. I load Crome, it worked for 1 day then same issue. It used to login in fine last week. It logs in fine on my 2 other PCs and my Kindlefire.I have checked for viruses with Avast and A-Malware Bytes in safe mode - nothing. These 2 pick up 98% of stuff. Personally I dont think its a virusn IE9 - Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files, everything under the Geneeral/Browsing History section. Did a disk cleanup, put the site inthe trusted zone, turned off popup blocker just in case, Cleared SSL state, Reset IE9. Zippo
