Doing a repair installation due to numerous blue screens of death. I get to the system recovery options screen, but it didn't find my os. It asks me to load drivers, with a message sayin "insert installation media for the device and click ok to select the driver"?

I have installed Win 7 but i want install ubuntu then never I can't use my win 7. I remove ubuntu and now even I cant install new win 7 it say: "To install the device driver needed to access your hard drive insert the installation media containing the driver files".
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt boots fine from usb fine and starts the setup however when she goes to install it asks "insert the media device and select the driver windows 7". Ive looked around the forums and google and found that this can be a usb 2.0 , 3.0 problem with people just switching to the 2.0 slot and it working. However this does not work for her and so I looked around more and found it might be needing the drivers for the USB ports had her insert the disc that came with the motherboard however non of the setups in the usb folder work and im not sure which specific file she needs to choose to get the driver to install or 100 % if that is even the issue. Any ideas? Intel� Desktop Board DZ68DB - Overview this is the board Forgot to mention this hard drive is from her older computer so its a new motherboard / cpu / ram.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo my 64bit fujitsu lifebook laptop has run into some crazy problems the last few days. Including freezing every several minutes for ages. BSOD a few times a day. Nothing along the taskbar opening. Task Manager making the whole screen turn black etc.I researched alot and tried many things, including chkdsk which just takes to long for it to be realistic (i judge it would take about 1 week to finish)That being said, i want to do a repair install of windows 7, but when i use my universal disc (which has 32bit and 64bit windows 7 on it) it returns the error after the compatibility check:
- You can't upgrade 64-bit Windows to a 32-bit version of Windows. To upgrade, obtain a 64-bit version of the installation disc, or go online to see how to install Windows 7 and keep your files and settings.
- 32-bit Windows cannot be upgraded to a 64-bit version of Windows. To upgrade, obtain a 32-bit version of the Windows installation disc. is there a workaround for this? I know people can make a universal disc easily, so maybe there is a way to do this in reverse
My mom has a problem with her older desktop. It keeps coming up to reboot with proper boot device or insert media. I have gone into the BIOS and changed the boot sequence, but no matter what I do, that message always appears. There is not a cd in the drive. I have tried removing the cd-rom from boot-up completely, and it still goes back to that message. I know this is an older machine, but really I just want to get the info off it for her and I am unable to do that right now. Is this a hard drive issue, or a motherboard issue? I realize this message has been asked before, but the answers appear to be the same; to make sure the boot sequence is correct. I have already done that and its not working. PC runs windows 7 with all the updates.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just built my first pc, and I am stuck at installing windows 7 . Here's what happens, I am trying to install off a USB stick as I don't have a dvd drive for this build. It will load into the setup and it'll stop on a screen requiring me to load drivers.
Here is what it displays:
"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now".
So I found drivers for my mobo Asus M5A97, I select them and then after I click next this message appears: "No new devices could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media".

Whenever I insert a CD as in an Software installation CD, the instructions and tabs are in Japaneses. How do I prevent this. My computer is in English everywhere except on the CD Instructions and menus.

I just changed my PSU and upgraded my graphics card today. I tried booting it up and it came up with this message "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key."I'm pretty sure I got all the cables in correctly and I only have one harddrive. No externals.By the way, I don't have my windows 7 CD because I let a friend borrow it and I won't be able to get it back for some time. However, I do have a Windows XP CD if that helps in any way.

Can W/7 install to a SCSI drive without the driver installation (F6)? I'm just about to install W7, and it seems to detect all 3 SCSI drives without the driver for the LSI 1030 Ultra SCSI adapter.
I'm just a little surprised how simple this is, usually you have to supply the additional driver...

I basically chose an "upgrade" vs "custom" when I was asked about the type of upgrade that I wanted to run. The installation proceeded and then stopped and stated that I had a more current version of Windows than what I was trying to install.
Can I still run a repair install?
Trying to get windows seven to boot again. Have no installation Disk. Made a recovery disk which has not worked. Tried using super grub boot disk and it did not work. probably messed up the partition order following those instructions. Have Linux Ubuntu 12.04.1LTS installed on separate partition. Have command prompt ability, used bootrec,exe/ RebuildBcd and got total identified windows installations. I'm thinking my best bet is to purchase windows 7 and install clean.
