Whenever I insert a CD as in an Software installation CD, the instructions and tabs are in Japaneses. How do I prevent this. My computer is in English everywhere except on the CD Instructions and menus.
I have installed Win 7 but i want install ubuntu then never I can't use my win 7. I remove ubuntu and now even I cant install new win 7 it say: "To install the device driver needed to access your hard drive insert the installation media containing the driver files".
Doing a repair installation due to numerous blue screens of death. I get to the system recovery options screen, but it didn't find my os. It asks me to load drivers, with a message sayin "insert installation media for the device and click ok to select the driver"?
My Emachine has Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bitWhen I turn on my computer I get a black screen with an error message and asking I insert the Windows Installation disc. Unfortunately, I don't have one. Never came with computer. The error message is regarding the following:File: BootBCDStatus: Oxc0000011
My lenovo G560 laptop fails to start. Its showing one message. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer. But I don't have disc..
i cannot get access to any instructions for any cd rom games i try to play on my windows 7 netbook i just get diverted to the following 'help' link information below ... going to the 'microsoft help and support' site does not help. i cannot find the necessary info. i didn't have this problem with xp. why have windows 7 creators given gamers this additional headache?
Why can't I get Help from this program?
The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which depends on a feature that isn't included in this version of Windows. However, you can download a program that will allow you to view Help created in the Windows Help format. For more information, go to the Microsoft Help and Support website.
I have recently installed Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit and when I print anything on my Lexmark E120 laser printer and select Two-Sided printing, it prints out instructions for doing this. As I already know how to use my printer, I would like to stop it printing out instructions and wasting paper.
I have a Windows 7 installer DVD, but I would like to transfer the files to a USB 2.0 flash stick to install from there instead of a DVD. Can someone post a link to instructions for this and the software I need to put the files on the flash and make it bootable. There seem to be a number of applications that do this, but I would like to know that I am using something that is safe and proven to work well.
I recently bought my Lenevo computer new, and it's having some problems. These started upon me first going onto the computer and I figured it would sort itself. It didn't. It's running Windows 7.While trying to switch windows, and clicking onto a new tab, sometimes I have to click that tab several times to be able to go to it. The screen will flicker as if it went to it for a very very brief second and then show the original page again. Occasionally, while in the same window I was in before, when clicking a text box to enter text or a log in, you have to click it more than once for it to do anything. This is the same for clicking links as well. Sometimes when I do try to click on a pop up box which should be associated with that window, it goes to BEHIND the window I am on, instead of allowing me to interact with it. Sometimes I am randomly switched into a new window for no reason or it will not let me go to certain tabs
I recently got a laptop from my uncle that was used in his company. When I log into the internet there are 3 extra tabs at the top connected to websites i have no use for. How do I get rid of them?
Is there session saver for IE 9? My box is windows 7 x64, and I need to save session with tabs. When I cleaned garbage files with ccleaner or other tools, I could not open the session with "about:Tabs". If there is something like session manager of FireFox.
If I try to shut down IE through Task Manager it immediately attempts (and usually succeeds) in recovering the tabs. Similar to if it stops responding and then it asks if you want to restore your last browsing session. Is there a way to disable this?If something weird goes on while I'm browsing I believe one way to (hopefully)prevent being infected is to shut down IE immediately without clicking anything. I always thought the best way to do this was by killing the process. But since it recovers my sessions any harmful sites will come right back.
How do they do it in Tomshardware's Web Browser Grand Prix? There is a test where they open 40 tabs in order to test memory efficiency. Do they open tabs one by one or they have batch or script file. I just want test it because most of the time, I only open 10 to 15 tabs when browsing the internet. But in reality, do people really have 50 to 100 tabs open all at the same time, I mean what are they doing on their browsers?
If I minimize a folder or firefox window etc I cannot bring it back. If I mouse over the tab at the bottom the preview flashes up for a second then goes and any clicking or alt tabbing will not restore it.
the two most prominent being an issue with the 2 monitor setting bringing the window up on a non existent screen and a program on the startup boot list causing the problem. I have eliminated both these possibilities and a few others and the problem still persists. As a workaround I can still access the windows through task manager > applications and switch to/bring to the front but this is very awkward and I need a fix not a work around.
I have always wondered why Microsoft never implemented this feature in the first place. Back when I had Windows XP and Vista, I used a program called taskix to reorder tabs on the taskbar. Now I have Windows 7. I have set the taskbar not to combine all like tabs under one icon. For instance, when I open several windows of google chrome, each window pops out as a seperate tab. When I try to move a google chrome tab around, Windows 7 automatically moves the entire tab group around my other pinned programs. For instance, say I have four google chrome tabs open and I want to move chrome tab number 2 up one. When I try to do this, windows 7 moves all four chrome tabs around.
I don`t know how, but something made all my tab groups and current tabs completely disappear. They don`t even show up as closed, so I can`t restore them from the closed tabs function. Would the tabs have been stored anywhere for me to retrieve them? I really need them back!! (I had 100+ !!! )
there any other reason why to use it?I use now Google Chrome, I completely forgot about Firefox. Tried Opera few times...ts user specific, I know. I like it because it does what I need to do , is fast, u can open 200+ tabs and it still works perfect. I like the simplicity and simple look of it...Firefox was doing fine till version 3.6. Than it could not hold the tabs and it kept crashing.I stopped using IE 10 years ago or so. Yes, I still use it if there is no other way or on someone else's PC and I know why is it, that I don't use it.
I have about a dozen Firefox tabs open on my taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Win7 64bit on Dell E6510. But some of them will shift position on the taskbar on their own. Happens all the time, and it's very aggravating because I'm needing to be able to hit them quickly and often and need to have them stay in the expected position. Can't afford the time to hunt around for them. For example [URL]will often move itself to the far right. Even BigCharts.com is doing this now. None of my searches on the web can answer how to stop this. It's easy to grab/drag a tab window for another application around on the taskbar, but within the single application of Firefox this doesn't work. Why/how are these windows shifting around? This never happens on my other laptop, a WinXP SP3 machine.
I posted a while ago saying my laptop would freeze etc, and I suspected it was because my fan needed to be cleaned. I got it checked out and cleaned, and my fan is working perfectly okay now. However, the freezing just happened again. I wasn't doing anything specifically hardcore, I just had my browser open and was listening to the radio, and scrolling through Facebook etc. I had only 3 or 4 tabs open. When I opened a new page to someone's blog, my laptop froze again. The mouse froze, I couldn't do anything, even my Caps Lock wasn't functioning. The music started going insanely slow. I waited for a bit and it stayed like that, so I just switched it off and restarted it. I got my hard drive checked out at the store and they said it's okay and there are no issues with it. It might be my registry because I use CCleaner from time to time.
I am using IE9 and was logged into my bank (https) but noticed after making a transaction that I had another tab open on a safe but unsecured site. Will this have compromised my https tab?
I've been having trouble with my laptop now for quite a while when I'm on the internet and open 2 or more tabs or on random websites it'll stop loading the page for a split second then go to BSOD then restart?I've followed the BSOD posting instructions however I can't find this perfmon/report thing it's talking about so if someone could guide me if they need it I'd be happy to oblige. I am using an Advent Roma 3000 laptop 32 bit windows 7 OS It's the original windows 7 that came installed on the laptop This laptop is about 2 years and 2 months old and I have not reinstalled the OS ever.
I use both Google Chrome and IE and with each at times tabs simply close--there are NO addons that are for bothI also notice this happening with Word I get no error messagesI have NOT added any 3d party programs when this startedI cannot discover one unique thing that happens to cause this, so I sense the problem must be with my OS
My pc is only a few months old But, for some unknown reason every time I go to the internet explorer & choose a site to find information no matter which site. It closes down & goes all the way back to my screen saver. (This can do it from the 1st 30 seconds to maybe upto 2 mins) loosing that site & having to re-type the whole thing back in all over again. I have tried all over the place trying to find solutions to this . But to no avail. I do not have my browser history either that seems to have disappeared as well.
