Recover Pictures Compact Flash Card After Camera Showed An Error?
Sep 20, 2011
While shooting a wedding, my 5Dmark II showed an error and locked up. I turned off the camera and turned it back on. I took one more picture and it locked up again. I turned it off and replaced the card, with no further issues. When I tried to download pictures in error card, nothing showed on the computer. The computer is asking me to formatt the card again. I have never had any problems with the Lexar Plat II 80x cards before. What can I do to recover my photo?
Very strange issue with certain compact flash cards being transferred to computer. I have 4 Lexar USB 3.0 CF card readers attached to a HighPoint 4 port USB 3.0 card. When transferring a 1000X CF card I have no problems. Certain cards like a 600X card will transfer fine but when it gets down to 10 files remaining out of over 600 it ejects and then an error pops up saying can't read from volume. In the meantime the card remounts!!! If I hit continue the card dismounts again only to remount. Very bizarre that it always does it at the very last 10 files. I haven't been able to narrow it down to which cards or types just yet. Kinda just started happening. I do have Diskkeeper installed and also Nero. Read some random stuff about Nero messing with certain volumes.
My friend just dropped off her computer saying that its not turning on.I plugged it in, and powered it up, and a black screen came on saying a few things, including the name of the HDD, the name of the computer, etc, but three of the lines it showed caught my eye, so i felt like i should share them with you:
it said press any key to continue, so i did, and it booted to the login screen, but after that, it just went to a black screen with a mouse that was incapable of movement.I force rebooted, and now, just like she had described, it refuses to turn on. The HDD light is blinking, and the fans are going, but the screen doesn't show anything.Apart from that, I haven't had much time to look at it, so i apologize for not being able to give you all more to go off of.
how recover deleted pictures (JPEG format)? I accidently deleted a folder about a month ago but only just realised. I though I'd managed to recover the JPEGs but I can't open them.
I do not know how or why but some files that I have been using were just gone when I went to find them. The files where in a word document with other files which are still there.
When I had XP I would put the SD card in the card reader and a "wizard" would open in which I could choose which pics I wanted to put in a folder and label them. In Windows 7 when I put the card in the reader it seems I can label them and put them in a folder but there is no way to choose which ones go where.
When opening pictures from a camera, I get that blasted viewer thing - it is impossible to make it use a photo program, until I copy the picture to the hard disk. Surely the camera is simply a USB memory stick when plugged in?
I can view all the pictures when the memory card inserted to computer but when i insert it to my camera i cant view it . it says "card error" but when i remove to my camera it run. I cant see the folder named DCIM.
I have official Windows 7 installed (Home Premium). Anytime I insert my SD card from my digital camera, it asks to import new pictures. I click yes and the problem is that it imports the pictures, labeling the folder by date - one day ahead of the actual photos' dates. Example:
October 24th pics are being organized in 2009-10-25 folder instead of 2009-10-24. Same thing happened the past 2 days I imported pictures. Odd enough, I just reloaded Windows 7 a few days ago and it started happening after the reload. Prior to the reload it used to work perfectly fine, organizing by proper date of actual photos. The photos are indeed the 24th, not 25th and same for prior imported pictures.
Here's the weird thing, in Pictures library the photos are organized correctly by date (month). But, in the users/pictures folder via C: folder it is messing up
I have a new computer (Asus K53E) with Win 7 x64 - My camera is a Canon SD 750, and I'd like to use Photo Scape to work with my pics, not the Canon browser or the Windows Photo Gallery. So I've set my photos to import via Windows in Auto Play, and to auto delete afterward. The problem I'm seeing is that once the photos are imported into my computer and deleted from the camera, the little Windows pop up box that notifies me of the deleting process stays on the screen - it will not disappear until I either use Task Manager to stop it, or I reboot the computer. I really would like to continue using the simple and effective Windows process to import my camera's pics, and to continue using Photo Scape as my photo browser/editor.
I've been using a flash drive for coursework and transferring data and windows 7 suddenly decided it was corrupted despite me finding no problems with it. So me being me decided to allow it to try and fix it and guess what happens, I wind up with a file with the same name as the folder it decided to remove and a new folder full of what looks like setting and configuration files (got a cog icon, cant remember what extension they have). How do I recover files that haven't been backed up???????
I can download Canon pictures from a 2GB card, but cannot download from a 32GB card.I am using ZoomBrowser EX for Windows 7.What is the problem and how do I download pictures from the 32GB card?
Due to some reason my memory card formatted. In my Memory Card i have a back up of my contacts. I try to recover data from memory card for this i just try with the following utilities:
1.photorec
2.Recuva
3.Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional
I installed Windows 7 64 bit from on two partitions.
The first one, a fresh install, Computer Properties shows 4gb RAM, the same value (4096) is also showed in Task Manager.
The second one, I upgraded from Vista 64 bit, it shows 4gb RAM (2usable), the same (2048) is showed in Task Manager.
I heard the story about Memory Remap, my mainboard didn't have it. However, the first case, it automatically recognize 4gb RAM, I guess Windows7 manages everything. Is there anyway I 'turn on' the rest 2gb in the second case?
I have this USB wireless stick so I can connect to wireless Internet.
I have a problem, though with this stick.
It automatically disconnects and I have to restart my computer to let it work again. Wireless-G USB Compact USB Network Adapter (WUSB54GC) (Not click-able)
Could someone please help me to fix this problem as it's getting pretty annoying.
I have a SanDisk 16GB microSDHC Memory Card and it worked well all the time. Unfortunately, I formatted it yesterday and all the files are gone. I want to look for some free software to recover my files.
When I turn it on windows starts fine but no programs show on the desktop or start menu. I originaly thought everything was gone but all of the virus protection loaded and seems to run fine, and I can run the programs that appear in the notifactation toolbar. When looking at C: it is empty, no folders, nothing! In the add/remove programs it shows everything is still installed. So i am making the assumption that all of the files and programs are still on the hard drive and intact. So at this point i am trying to figure out if this is a hard drive issue or most likely a windows problem.
My laptop is Dell Inspiron 14R and use windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I was trying to download itunes but it showed failure and did not respond. Then, I used task manager to close the window. Then, I restart the computer. Now, I see many of my desktop icons missing and also my documents missing. However, those documents are availble in a folder called UsesDell folder in C drive. Apart from these problems, the fonts of the internet explorer has changed and its like using a new computer where I have to install programs again.
