I can view all the pictures when the memory card inserted to computer but when i insert it to my camera i cant view it . it says "card error" but when i remove to my camera it run. I cant see the folder named DCIM.
View 1 RepliesWhen I had XP I would put the SD card in the card reader and a "wizard" would open in which I could choose which pics I wanted to put in a folder and label them. In Windows 7 when I put the card in the reader it seems I can label them and put them in a folder but there is no way to choose which ones go where.

1.I can't copy and paste files , whether it's by mouse or keyboard. It seems to work on text by not files.When I try to copy and paste files it makes the noise it doe's like if you were to press an incorrect key .
2.I can't move files from one fold to another or on to my desktop.
3.I can't seem to view any pictures in windows photo viewer it just says loading all the time.
4.I went on to account settings to see if it was to do with administrative properties but I am classed as the admin anyway and even when I click on create a new user or manage user settings (anything with the admin symbol near the option) it just doe's nothing.I Have rebooted,system restored and lots of other things that people have suggested by nothing works , even on safe mode it doe's the same and on hidden admin that i unlocked. I really am stuck. I have just done a sfc /scannow and it says it found corrupted files but couldn't fix them.

I have official Windows 7 installed (Home Premium). Anytime I insert my SD card from my digital camera, it asks to import new pictures. I click yes and the problem is that it imports the pictures, labeling the folder by date - one day ahead of the actual photos' dates. Example:
October 24th pics are being organized in 2009-10-25 folder instead of 2009-10-24. Same thing happened the past 2 days I imported pictures. Odd enough, I just reloaded Windows 7 a few days ago and it started happening after the reload. Prior to the reload it used to work perfectly fine, organizing by proper date of actual photos. The photos are indeed the 24th, not 25th and same for prior imported pictures.
Here's the weird thing, in Pictures library the photos are organized correctly by date (month). But, in the users/pictures folder via C: folder it is messing up
Any ideas?
I'm trying to login to the security cameras at work. I can get to the page where I'm suppoed to be and installed the add on, but as soon as I type in the username and password IE say's "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". Then at the bottom of the page it say's "A problem with this web page caused IE to close and reopen the tab".I can get in and view the cameras on all the other computers I have here at home. I'm running IE9 on the computer that won't login. That computer OS is Win 7. The other computer that will connect is also running Win 7 and IE9.I have a laptop running XP (I forget what version of IE it is) and it will also login.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a new computer (Asus K53E) with Win 7 x64 - My camera is a Canon SD 750, and I'd like to use Photo Scape to work with my pics, not the Canon browser or the Windows Photo Gallery. So I've set my photos to import via Windows in Auto Play, and to auto delete afterward. The problem I'm seeing is that once the photos are imported into my computer and deleted from the camera, the little Windows pop up box that notifies me of the deleting process stays on the screen - it will not disappear until I either use Task Manager to stop it, or I reboot the computer. I really would like to continue using the simple and effective Windows process to import my camera's pics, and to continue using Photo Scape as my photo browser/editor.

I turned it off and replaced the card, with no further issues. When I tried to download pictures in error card, nothing showed on the computer. The computer is asking me to formatt the card again. View 4 Replies View RelatedOn Thursday this week I upgraded my XP machine to Windows 7 (actually created a dual-boot system) and generally I find it to be OK. I have one or two gripes but most I'll get used to. However, one thing that does annoy me rather intensely is that ALL shared folders/drives on our home network show up in 'Computer' view in Windows Explorer - all 45 of them.
I find this particularly irritating and I've been searching the internet for hours for a way of removing them, all with no success. Perhaps I'm not really sure what search term I should use and I recognise I may well be missing some new feature in Windows 7 that is NOT in XP - but I really don't know what.
So, a question please: is there a way of removing those shares from 'Computer' view, i.e. the top level view where all the drives are shown (My Computer in XP)?
I have to hard drives on my computer one is fr 300 GB n the other is for 500 GB and both were been detected never had problem in last 8 mnths , but for last 3 days my computer does not detect the 500GB hard drive. Aticipating fr your response.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI imported my photos from my SDCard to my PC using Picasa 3, and everything was going smoothly... until I tried to take a look at the photos! all of the photos that I've imported using this method for some reason all became greyed out! Viewing them on Picasa3, all you can see is a grey rectangle, in place of the photos. However, when using the windows explorer folder, i can see that the photos were imported correctly (it's not just a grey box, but the actual photos), but when I try to open it (using any program: Paint, Picasa3, etc), it is still a grey rectangle instead of the photos. I tried to upload the image and send it via email, and I get the same result.In my mistake, I chose to "delete the uploaded photos after uploading" option..it's my vacation photos from Croatia I'm not sure if there were any errors when I imported it... i stepped out for a bit while I was waiting for it to import. I looked around my SD card, and looked at the "Lost.dir" folder, and copied all of what's in there.I did use Glarysoft to recover the images, and I'm using a Windows 7 laptop as my computer. Also, are there other alternatives? I did save the lost.dir with all of the photo files in it, both in my SD Card, and on my laptop.

Before reformatting I was running on Windows 7 ultimate x32 and I am now running on the same however in x64 instead. I know that my network is working as I can access my network drive through my netbook but I am unable to see my computer or netbook through both devices, but seen as my net-book was able to see my pc prior to reformatting I am pretty sure it is an issue with my computer. I have done all the usual checks through the network and sharing center to ensure that everything is shared correctly and that network discovery is turned on.
