I like viewing pictures in full screen but is it possible to disable that default slide show option? I suppose I can right click and select pause for each one. Any other method(s) available?
I'm putting together a slide show of 3D images that I want to show on my TV next week when we have company.I would like the images to stay on the screen a little longer without having to actually create a slide show in some special application like Premiere. The Slide Show function in Explorer works great if I can control the timing.
Starting a few hours ago out of nowhere my computer screen will only enlarge to about 90 percent regardless of the browser (Firefox and Internet Explorer) and even software programs such as music editing or anti virus.I have a Toshiba Dual Core Windows 7 with Norton 360/C Cleaner/Spybot that are run daily.
Sometimes in Windows Vista I have a folder option to view files as a slideshow on the menu bar, Sometimes I do not have that option. I am speaking of the same folder. Under properties/customization I have selected to have them viewed as pictures and videos . I would like to have that option all the time. When I try to change it to pictures and videos and press apply it doesn't work. When I select a file there is no slide show option
I want to have a slide show of all my Windows 7 desktop backgrounds, changing every 5 minutes. I click on Select all, then save changes. Once the computer is on, this works well. But once I shut it down and reboot, the settings are lost and only one desktop background is displayed all the time. Is it supposed to work like this? How can I fix this? Windows 7 Ultimate.
I find it daunting that after a lot of searching, I need to turn on Aero to have the simple fade effect for my desktop wallpaper slideshow.Hasn't there been anyone who tried to activate the desktop slideshow transitions WITHOUT Aero?
I plan to create a slide show to show on a large TV that will be used for instruction. I wish to make the advancement of the slides as needed depending on the length of time the audience wishes to spend on it. I would like to control the advancement of the slides with the DVD Player remote.
Error message is "problem with live movie maker". Same error message on all emails with photos.I have reinstalled windows essentials - windows live movie maker and windows live photo gallery. I have tried microisoft's "fix it" I have updated all Windows 7's updates, All other programs and systems are working.
I have a set of 10 Powerpoint presentations that I combined into one presentation with Histology image identification questions. I wanted to play the slide show in a random order so that I don't know what image comes next and I can really test myselfre's how to do itrom within the Powerpoint you want to randomize Alt+F11 to open Visual Basic. Make sure your Powerpoint is highlighted on left-hand side. Click Insert => Module[CODE]
When I right-click with the Performace Setting "Fade or slide menus into view" it doesnt really "slide" into view it just displays a white box for a split second then the menu slides open into the white box. My pc is in perfect running condition so its not a performance issue or anything. Also it doesnt happen every time I right-click just like 50% of the time. And the other 50% is cuz it doesn't slide it just pops up instantly.
I can view all the pictures when the memory card inserted to computer but when i insert it to my camera i cant view it . it says "card error" but when i remove to my camera it run. I cant see the folder named DCIM.
I just bought a DELL OPTILEX w/ Windows 7 Home edition.I click on PICTURES folder:And the pictures, as everyone knows, area displayed in thumbnails....well the thumbnails display the fax picture viewer logo on all ......NOT the actual picture. I only can see the actual picture when I double click on it and it does open the picture. But since for my job I need to select pictures to attach I need to be able to see the picture in the thumbnail. But I cant!I tried changing thumbnails size to all sizes and nothing. I tried going to My Computer, right click, properties, advance system setting, advance, settings, selecting ALL, selecting the correct one, deselecting all and still nothing. No way to display the pictures at all!
I have been most the day trying to solve these issues and nothing has worked. Basically I moved house couple of weeks ago and just go round to plugging my computer in and these are the issues I am having, whether they are all related I wouldn't know...
1.I can't copy and paste files , whether it's by mouse or keyboard. It seems to work on text by not files. When I try to copy and paste files it makes the noise it doe's like if you were to press an incorrect key .
2.I can't move files from one fold to another or on to my desktop.
3.I can't seem to view any pictures in windows photo viewer it just says loading all the time.
4.I went on to account settings to see if it was to do with administrative properties but I am classed as the admin anyway and even when I click on create a new user or manage user settings (anything with the admin symbol near the option) it just doe's nothing.I Have rebooted, system restored and lots of other things that people have suggested by nothing works , even on safe mode it doe's the same and on hidden admin that i unlocked. I really am stuck. I have just done a sfc /scannow and it says it found corrupted files but couldn't fix them.

I have made a slide show of our recent holiday, the pictures of which are now all on a DVD Disc. I now want to take copies of these pictures to make prints. Rather stupidly, I reformatted my camera CF Card so do not have the originals.
I started out thinking it was only an IE issue, but now I know I have something else going on. In applications using some unknown software, pictures do not display. This includes internet explorer and some other software also(H&R Block tax software for example). Strangely, I downloaded Chrome after I had the issue and it works flawlessly. The problem appears to be a windows based issue not an Internet Explorer issue. I have chased firewalls, anti virus software and checked boxes and nothing seems to be wrong.
can't get my photos to dispaly as thumbnails. they are all there, and will preview and open, but show the windows photo image instead of a small picture
I have windows 7 ultimate and my pictures won't show in thumbnails I don't know why it always worked until two days ago. I thought it will fix itself, but it hasn't what can I do to fix it??? an exaple of what is happening is that my movies and pictures used to show in the folder before you opened it and now it doesn't. My movies only shows the default program that opens the movies the same with my pictures.
I'm running windows 7 and currently I cannot get pictures to show as thumbnails. Have changed the setting in folder options to display file icons on thumbnails but pictures still won't display and I continue to have the icon instead. Have tired system restart.
Just wondering if anyone has discovered a registry hack to get Windows Explorer to show file size in details view as KB, MB, GB as appropriate? FreeCommander has had this option for years.
As mentioned above, I can not get windows explorer to show the full file path even when I click in the empty space. I have looked everywhere for how to fix this. It also does not copy the full file path when you ask it to do so. I don't want to go to classic. My hard drive died in my laptop. I replaced it with a new ssd. I was unable to get my copy of windows. This is a fresh install
My computer has a problem with crashing while playing a video in full screen. When it crashes the screen turns black while the speakers give out a buzzing noise. Everything is unresposive the only solution is to turn it off with the power button. It happens in any full screen video online or offline and even visualizations from windows media player and iTunes, but only in full screen. I don't think it's overheating either because sometimes it takes 30 mins to crash and other times it will crash immediately when put in full screen. *I've tried setting it back to factory settings thus reinstalling windows. *All the directx features are working with no reported problem there.* I don't think it's a memory issue in the computer, as my specs are:
Windows 7 64-bit Processor: intel core i5 3.20 GHz Ram: 8 GB Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 Graphics card memory: 0.5 GB Any other ideas?
