View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Windows 7 just like you all. Ultimate edition, 64-bit. The system is running perfectly without any problems, but I got one issue after two weeks of using Windows 7. The problem is that video preview thumbnails are not showing up. "Show thumbnails instead of icons" in view options is checked.Take a look. On the left side is my HDV camcoder captured files, .mt2 format. But on the right side is my video folder, contains .mp4 and .wmv formats. As you can see .mp4 .wmv thumbnails are missing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI for some reason am not able to get a thumbnail view of any of my .cbr & .cbz files anymore. I had to reinstall Windows 7 a few days ago and now no thumbnails show for my comicbook files. Pdf's show fine once I locate them with Adobe Pro. And usually when I locate them with a certain comicbook reader program they show up as thumbnails even when viewing in windows explorer. But not now
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been downloading many Videos and I watch them on WMP (I'm running Windows 7 64Bit) and I have variety of files. But for some reason files like .Mp4 would show thumbnails/an image of the video while my MKV files just show an Icon. I have installed K-Lite codec pack 5.2.0 (64Bit) to enable my WMP to watch several files. Also I have try installing the Divx preview thing (Forgot what's it called) and it does make the Mkv show the thumbnail but it lags incredibly when I play it. Is there any alternate way to make my MKV videos show thumbnails?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have plenty of images on my computer and always used to see thumbnails; suddenly I only see a placeholder. I have tried Explorer - Organise - Folder and Search Options - View etc.; I also tried Control Panel - System - Advanced System Settings - Performance, but none of those two options works...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI started out thinking it was only an IE issue, but now I know I have something else going on. In applications using some unknown software, pictures do not display. This includes internet explorer and some other software also(H&R Block tax software for example). Strangely, I downloaded Chrome after I had the issue and it works flawlessly. The problem appears to be a windows based issue not an Internet Explorer issue. I have chased firewalls, anti virus software and checked boxes and nothing seems to be wrong.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a DELL OPTILEX w/ Windows 7 Home edition.I click on PICTURES folder:And the pictures, as everyone knows, area displayed in thumbnails....well the thumbnails display the fax picture viewer logo on all ......NOT the actual picture. I only can see the actual picture when I double click on it and it does open the picture. But since for my job I need to select pictures to attach I need to be able to see the picture in the thumbnail. But I cant!I tried changing thumbnails size to all sizes and nothing. I tried going to My Computer, right click, properties, advance system setting, advance, settings, selecting ALL, selecting the correct one, deselecting all and still nothing. No way to display the pictures at all!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have made a slide show of our recent holiday, the pictures of which are now all on a DVD Disc. I now want to take copies of these pictures to make prints. Rather stupidly, I reformatted my camera CF Card so do not have the originals.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI like viewing pictures in full screen but is it possible to disable that default slide show option? I suppose I can right click and select pause for each one. Any other method(s) available?
View 4 Replies View RelatedTrying to figure out a way to display thumbnails in certain folders (ie: Photos & Videos) and icons in others. Unfortunately it seems this isn't possible, as the only option I've found is to always show thumbnails in all folders or always show icon's.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI didn't used to have this problem before. For some unknown reason, all my video files have a separate PNG file next to it with a picture of the thumbnail. I don't remember changing any viewing options that may have triggered this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI imported my photos from my SDCard to my PC using Picasa 3, and everything was going smoothly... until I tried to take a look at the photos! all of the photos that I've imported using this method for some reason all became greyed out! Viewing them on Picasa3, all you can see is a grey rectangle, in place of the photos. However, when using the windows explorer folder, i can see that the photos were imported correctly (it's not just a grey box, but the actual photos), but when I try to open it (using any program: Paint, Picasa3, etc), it is still a grey rectangle instead of the photos. I tried to upload the image and send it via email, and I get the same result. In my mistake, I chose to "delete the uploaded photos after uploading" option..it's my vacation photos from Croatia I'm not sure if there were any errors when I imported it... i stepped out for a bit while I was waiting for it to import. I looked around my SD card, and looked at the "Lost.dir" folder, and copied all of what's in there.I did use Glarysoft to recover the images, and I'm using a Windows 7 laptop as my computer. Also, are there other alternatives? I did save the lost.dir with all of the photo files in it, both in my SD Card, and on my laptop.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm putting together a slide show of 3D images that I want to show on my TV next week when we have company.I would like the images to stay on the screen a little longer without having to actually create a slide show in some special application like Premiere.
The Slide Show function in Explorer works great if I can control the timing.
Why is it when you look at pictures in a folder and arrange by day you see three pictures.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 ultimate 64bit, I just upgraded from professional, when I had professional, all of my videos had thumbnail previews. Now, just about zero do. Is there a way to get this back to the way it was before? For example, I use VLC as my default player to open vids and it is just the cone, no thumb. The same goes with WMP
View 9 Replies View RelatedOK basically the title explains it all i thought i fixed this by system restore but after a few days my video and music files are not generating thumbnails all there is only VLC icon is showing. (some thumbnails are showing and all picture files have thumbnail)
here is a example Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting
I don't like so many of my photos in folders. How can I change them into thumbnails or is that impossible?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAbout a week ago thumbnail images suddenly stopped showing (mainly .jpgs & .pngs) in several of my folders. It seemed to be fairly random across all folders & drives (2 partitions on C drive) whereby some display correctly within a folder but most now show as windows photo viewer icons.Images uploaded in "My Pictures Folder" on C drive are not affected.
I have done the obvious:-
1. in folder options > always show icons, never thumbnails (unchecked)
2. deleted & rebuilt the thumbnail cache
3. run malwares scans (system is clean)
4. done restores (Microsoft & Adobe updates)
5. selected medium icons to view . . .
Also, using the Windows Photo Viewer default preview pane no longer works if Id/click on an image it opens in a new window.I had been using Mystic Thumbs successfully for a while to enable me to see .svg, .pspimages & .psd files (as a graphic designer I want quick access to these) Uninstalling it hasn't made any difference.
I can display thumbnails in windows explorer for my C drive pictures and have Windows photo viewer as default. However when I look at my External drive where my windows backup is stored I can only see icons.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've spent the last couple of days trying desperately to resolve this issue. I have looked everywhere but cannot find an answer... PROBLEM: I have thousands of PDFs in hundreds of folders. When I go to a particular folder, I use the slider to change the Explorer views from "Content" to "Extra Large Icons" but cannot get a thumbnail preview of the PDFs - all I see is an Acrobat Icon preview.I know that this is an issue on the X64-bit verson of Windows 7, but I'm running 32-bit Windows 7 (Ultimate)! ATTEMPTS: I've tried several ways to resolve this but nothing worked so far. Specifically, I: 1. Made sure that the File Type Associations are correct.2.Unchecked Folder options>View>"Always show icons, never thumbnails".3. Made sure that Folder options>View> "Display file icon on thumbnails" is checked.4.Made sure that Performance>Settings>"Show thumbnails instead of icons" is checked.5. Tried the simple method suggessted at other forums: going into Adobe and opening the directory to preview the files as thumbnails from there and then refreshing the folder in Windows Explorer to display a thumbnail preview of the PDF file - Didn't work either!6. Ran "Repair Acrobat Installation".7. Uninstalled and Reinstalled Acrobat 9 (including associated registry files).8. Installed the latest version of Reader.9. Tried installing other software (PDF-XChange and Foxit) but these don't create PDF thumbnails in Windows Explorer either.

However, only three are visible in Disk Management. Missing (1) WD 500GB (previously used on WinXP system) and (1) new WD 1T.
I have a slight software conflict that results in me choosing to use Windows 7 Basic Theme instead of Aero. However I've noticed that the taskbar thumbnail preview panes have disappeared now and I really like that facility so I can see which windows are open when I hover over the Firefox tab on the taskbar.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm never the one to ask, but I don't know what happened. I tried looking online but I couldn't find any solutions. It seems like all my icons (including folders) are not showing up in windows explorer, taskbar, or the desktop anymore. This isn't too big a problem, but navigating through my picture library is very complicated without thumbnails. My PC is pretty heavily customized. I also cannot open the start menu from the taskbar anymore. I click the startorb and nothing appears. Screenshots
Also, while I was uploaded the three screenshots to imgur, the icons showed up on the popup to windows explorer.
