View 1 RepliesIs there a way to force the internet to continually download pictures at a high res on IE8 so that I don't end up with blotchy images every. single. time. I'm getting fed up of constantly pressing shift+r to improve the quality of the images on my websites!
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I had XP I would put the SD card in the card reader and a "wizard" would open in which I could choose which pics I wanted to put in a folder and label them. In Windows 7 when I put the card in the reader it seems I can label them and put them in a folder but there is no way to choose which ones go where.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have official Windows 7 installed (Home Premium). Anytime I insert my SD card from my digital camera, it asks to import new pictures. I click yes and the problem is that it imports the pictures, labeling the folder by date - one day ahead of the actual photos' dates. Example:
October 24th pics are being organized in 2009-10-25 folder instead of 2009-10-24. Same thing happened the past 2 days I imported pictures. Odd enough, I just reloaded Windows 7 a few days ago and it started happening after the reload. Prior to the reload it used to work perfectly fine, organizing by proper date of actual photos. The photos are indeed the 24th, not 25th and same for prior imported pictures.
Here's the weird thing, in Pictures library the photos are organized correctly by date (month). But, in the users/pictures folder via C: folder it is messing up
Any ideas?
I have a new computer (Asus K53E) with Win 7 x64 - My camera is a Canon SD 750, and I'd like to use Photo Scape to work with my pics, not the Canon browser or the Windows Photo Gallery. So I've set my photos to import via Windows in Auto Play, and to auto delete afterward. The problem I'm seeing is that once the photos are imported into my computer and deleted from the camera, the little Windows pop up box that notifies me of the deleting process stays on the screen - it will not disappear until I either use Task Manager to stop it, or I reboot the computer. I really would like to continue using the simple and effective Windows process to import my camera's pics, and to continue using Photo Scape as my photo browser/editor.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhile shooting a wedding, my 5Dmark II showed an error and locked up. I turned off the camera and turned it back on. I took one more picture and it locked up again. I turned it off and replaced the card, with no further issues. When I tried to download pictures in error card, nothing showed on the computer. The computer is asking me to formatt the card again. I have never had any problems with the Lexar Plat II 80x cards before. What can I do to recover my photo?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI imported my photos from my SDCard to my PC using Picasa 3, and everything was going smoothly... until I tried to take a look at the photos! all of the photos that I've imported using this method for some reason all became greyed out! Viewing them on Picasa3, all you can see is a grey rectangle, in place of the photos. However, when using the windows explorer folder, i can see that the photos were imported correctly (it's not just a grey box, but the actual photos), but when I try to open it (using any program: Paint, Picasa3, etc), it is still a grey rectangle instead of the photos. I tried to upload the image and send it via email, and I get the same result. In my mistake, I chose to "delete the uploaded photos after uploading" option..it's my vacation photos from Croatia I'm not sure if there were any errors when I imported it... i stepped out for a bit while I was waiting for it to import. I looked around my SD card, and looked at the "Lost.dir" folder, and copied all of what's in there.I did use Glarysoft to recover the images, and I'm using a Windows 7 laptop as my computer. Also, are there other alternatives? I did save the lost.dir with all of the photo files in it, both in my SD Card, and on my laptop.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe frustration has been for more than 2 years now. I tried to move the photo folders & files from "My Pictures" to "Pictures" but Window's geniouses did not give us that option. I do not need to click to "My Pictures" since they are ALL MY pictures. So are we stuck with this decision or is there a way which I can get rid of 1 of the folders? Same with "Documents" & "Videos".

Yeah, My laptop is downloading from somewhere.. and I don't like it..
I can tell because, I have a wireless light that flashes.. and when it flashes really fast, it means it's downloading.. but I really don't have anything that I am downloading.. It's just doing it on it's own and I'm sure I haven't got any program doing it.. It happens at random times & goes on for at least 20 minutes, sometimes longer
Is there any program I can download where I can stop my network card from downloading from a certain IP address or place.. like disable it from downloading from anywhere..?
when i want download anything it can not performed.unable to download message are displayed what i do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a new desktop computer, and I downloaded windows 7 64 bit home premium. when the download completed and it restarted a screen popped up asking for country/date/time, and now the computer is frozen. Is it okay to restart right now? They said not to restart during the setup process at the very beginning, but i don't know what to do, it's been like this for 15minutes. And i believe all the setup is done, once it restarted it just went straight to asking me about the time.
oh, and also i used custom installation becauuse the express one wouldn't work, saying i couldn't switch from 32 bit to 64 bit. dunno if this is relevant, but just thought i'd say.
I have Windows 7 and I use Avast antivirus. For some reason Java keeps downloading and update and trying to install Java 7.0, but it is everyday. I have taken just to denying the update after hearing that Java 7.0 might have security issues, but does anybody know why it won't install or keeps trying to install. Under the Java control panel it shows I have Java 7.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHeres my inquiry. Just bought this laptop for the mother,
Toshiba Satellite L455-S5975
Brand Spiffy New...
So, having a tad worth of knowledge about laptops et al, i went ahead and created the necessary backups, restore cds, and the like, prior to using.
This will be sent home to my mother, who is quite fairly like all our mothers, who arent as computer savvy as we'd like our parents to be.
Anyways, tried to download CCleaner, as well as AVG, but noticed when the download window (grey old school download popup), it doesnt seem to continue.
First CCleaner says "unable to download from site, webpage not accessible blah blah blah...:
Second, AVG is STILL currently trying to do so as well.
I am also running on a wireless connection.
Browser is set to default values, nothing yet changed.
I recently built a PC in August for the first time and everything was working great until a few months ago. I believe the problems started when I flashed my Asus P8Z68-V motherboard with a BIOS from a different model. I finally discovered my error and flashed my BIOS to a correct version thinking this would stop the BSODs. It did not and the BSODs continue only when installing certain games on Steam and every time I "Verify Integrity of Cache", no matter what the game is. Other than these two scenarios my computer seems to run fine. I have gone through and updated all the drivers provided on the Asus product page. I also have the WHQL drivers for my nVidia GTX 570 and all the Z68 chipset drivers. I really don't know what else I can or should update as far as drivers are concerned.
