I have a strange issue, recently we've migrated to outlook 2010, and following this process some of my outlook 2010 folders are not grouping emails into conversations.
View 6 RepliesI was able to send a group list emails a week ago but now it only sits in the outbox and never sends. I have 68 people in the list and as stated was able to send this a week ago but not able to no matter what i do. I am running windows 7 64 bit. I am using Go Daddy and I have called them and they tell me it is in the outlook but I have someone else send the email from their outlook with the same setting and it goes fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI run an accounting program called PASTEL ACCOUNTING which generates emails that are sent to OUTLOOK 2010's outbox. i can see them in the outbox and they are subsequently sent correctly. i know this because they are received correctly by the recipient. However once the mail has left the Outbox it is not stored in the SENT folder and i therefore have no record of its existence! PASTEL tell me that since it has found its way into OUTLOOK it must be an OUTLOOK problem! i have a feeling MS will tell me its a PASTEL problem..

I linked out look to a domain email address I have and I am able to receive emails with no issue. When I send emails it actually shows "inbox(1)" then moves into the sent mail folder but it never arrives at the destination.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a project where we've migrated our user base from Windows XP to Windows 7 Enterprise. They're using Office 2010 Pro. I'm seeing this issue with only one specific user, and not really sure where to start with his troubleshooting. Have read through some forums, but doesn't seem to be a prevalent issue.We've migrated his .NK2 file and most of his email cache is working. As he begins to type the address, it drops down with suggested emails. However, there are two specific addresses in the GAL which will not cache. I had him manually click on the 'To...' button in a new message, search the GAL for the user, click 'To...' once again in the bottom left of the address book to add the address to the message, click okay, and send the message. Normally this would be more than enough to get it to cache, but no such luck.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs is possible to either delete or hide the "search folders" and "deleted iems" folders that appear in each pst file created?
We use individual pst files to file our emails per current job. But the folders above take up a lot of visual space in the toolbaro it would be preffered to hide or delete them.
We do not use either to "file" emails so the compact now option in the data file managment dialog box does not really apply since I believe this is really a benefit when the file is archived.
couple of month ago a user received a new laptop and I copied her files over from the old laptop to the new one. when I attached the archived .pst files to her outlook and was went on my way. i get a call now saying that her archived emails in the archived inbox isn't showing but archived emails in the archived sub-folders are showing. I checked to make sure there wasn't any filters set up, and there wasn't. I've never seen this before. I've copied .pst files from one laptop/comps to another without any issues. Unfortunately, her old laptop was wiped clean and reissued as a spare so that avenue is closed. I haven't been able to find anything on the net besides asking to check the view settings or filters...

I've been trying to create a Task in Outlook from a Word Document that I have created on this computer. The idea is that a shortcut to the document is created as an Outlook Task. Click on the shortcut, and voila - there is the document.The "Create Microsoft Office Task" icon DOES send the document to Outlook as a Shortcut in a Task, however, when I open the task, Outlook says:"Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments: Shortcut to 'document name'."It's NOT an unsafe attachment; Outlook WILL OPEN this document if I send it as an email attachment. Outlook will open .docx files types.
I am trying to move one pst file from one laptop which has Outlook 2010 32 bit to another laptop which has Outlook 2010 64 bit installed, steps taken 1) Copied the pst file from the User/AppData/Microsoft/Outlook folder to usb. 2) Pasted the file from usb into User/Documents folder. 3) Tried to open the file in Outlook and I get the error that Outlook encountered errors while opening the file. Now how is that possible when the file is working perfectly in one laptop but when I copy and paste it into another it gets corrupted? Is it due to 32 bit to 64 bit outlook? I tried to repair it using scanpst and it brought back few mails?

I'm trying to retrieve archived emails that i backed up on an external hard drive from a previous computer, the files are .pst which is an outlook format but i keep on getting an error message saying the file is not an Outlook data file (.pst). i dont have any other way to retrieve these emails since they were deleted from the server and its about 1.5 years of work emails. Not sure what to do? should i move the files from the external driver to a different location on the computer and open them, or are they corrupted and need to be fixed?

I should have imported them into Outlook before I made the "Easy File Transfer" to the new Win 7 machine, but didn't know I needed to do that. Several years ago I had imported the files into Outlook, although that data did transfer it is now way out-of-date and full of duplicates.The up-to-date data is still in my old machine and also in an external hard drive backup. I have isolated the Outlook Express personal folders into .dbx format and the addresses into .wab format.Is there a way this can be reformatted into Outlook? Or is there some other way? I would probably also need to delete what is already in Outlook first, or I would have many more duplicates.

It doesn't stay on the outbox, it stays on the sent items. All the recipients doest receive the mail. And i'm having <rx> Mail queued for delivery. on outlook log.I tried it with another computer with same setup, same email account, same email, same recipients and number of recipients. 1 BCC entry went through and was received ok and i was also able to send with 3 or more BCC entry and email was received properly.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI try to print an email from outlook, and it just goes into a wait loop. The circle spins, and the title bar says outlook is "not responding" - I'll say! I've tried copying the e-mail and pasting it into Word. That works, but when I try to print, I get the same "not responding" situation. I've tried this with a couple of different e-mails, but the problem is the same. This is a new failure in Outllok (and Word). The only thing I've tried is rebooting my PC which didn't help. I would use the Office self-fix, but I can't find it in the 2010 edition.

1)When searching for an outlook email in the "instant search" bar in Outlook, the results are as expected (many results are displayed for the search term)
2) However, when searching from a search box using the exact same term as in #1 above, (e.g. when using "option F"), no results are displayed.
My understanding is that both of these search methods utilize the same index, application, etc...so this is perplexing. In looking at Indexing Options, it appears to be completely indexed. I have tried to rebuild the index several times with the same results.

Fortunately the hard drive was unaffected and I have this now in a USB enclosure that I can access via my new laptop.The problem is that the old machine came pre-installed with the SBE version of Office 2007 whereas the new one came with a trial version of Office 2010, which has subsequently been activated as the Starter edition of Office 2010.So, I have an Office 2007 pst file and only Windows Live Mail on the new laptop.I've already done extensive searching for a solution but they all seem to require that there is a running version of Outlook in order to extract the data from the file and present it in a way that WLM can import.I did look at Mailstore Home but it says that this configuration (pst) is only supported in the Server version, which having been installed refuses to run claiming the trial period has expired.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a laptop running windows 7 and outlook 2007 I have no problems searching the emails on the server, but as that fills I have other folders which are saved on my HD, for some reason if I try to search for an email in one of those folders I get nothing, it used to work at one time. I get a message about items not all indexed and if I click on index status it says outlook us currently indexing your items, 4393 items remaining across all open mailboxes. This number has not gone down in hours it may have actually went up.
