A few days later i receive this kind of warning when i start ang shutting down my computer. i also cant execute the windows task manager., "logonui.exe-system error. The program cant start because credui.dll is missing from ur computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

View 2 Replies View Relatedi recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. What is wrong with my computer? I also ran a system repair thing from the windows 7 disk, and it came up with this error: System File Integrity Check and Repair Error Code 0X490

when i click format a 150 gb partition space in disk management option i recieved the following message "An unexpected error has occurred. Check the System Event Log for more information on the error. Close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer". and the drive does not appear like other drives in MY Computer?

I have my HP Laptop which came with Windows Vista as the OS. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 so I bought Windows 7 from my local store.I entered the disc and did boot from CD. It reached to the page where it shows the disk partition. I deleted the partitions and created new one. However, whenever I create the partition, it creates a primary one and gives me error saying Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition.

No scans or diagnostics showed up any problems.Halfway through the system restore the laptop crashed and restarted. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having major problems with System Restore for my HP Pavilion Windows 7 Home Premium desktop PC. Here's what happens - If I try and create a restore point I get Error 0x8004231F insufficient storage space for shadow copy. RAM is over 800 megs. There are no restore points and I cannot create any more either. I also get these errors from time to time when trying to system restore - Error 0x80073AFD and Error 0x8000FFFF Missing MUI File(s) but what MUI Files are missing or how I can find them and reinstall the damned things it does not tell me! I use Norton SS and various other security software.
One other post here suggested upgrading my Real Player which I did and although it's a nicer player and I like it better it did nothing to allow me to find my shadow copy pages or fix my restore points issue or even allow me to use system restore. I had a problem with Norton which came up with false readings under registry issues and an Error 2147212513 could not create a restore point in system restore. They did try and fix my PC and I think they screwed up system restore when they did but they of course deny it! What to do to get my system restore back up and running again and how to make it create restore points and how to do this shadow copy crap?
I'm trying to reload a windows xp sp3 system with 5 partitions. root partition (c:) has bcdedit.exe and store. z: is application store with bunch of batch scripts.A web application is hosted in Apache omcat on c:. One of the cgi script in web application calls a batch file on z: drive with following command.
BCDEDIT.exe /store c:ootcd ootsequence {UUID}
I'm getting following error
The boot configuration data tore could not be opened. A required privilege is not held by the client.
I do not see error, if command is run from command prompt with admin privilege. my web app is running under admin privileges.
I had to mess about getting rid of the virus but it left residual files that were causing me even more problems. One of those files, veawi.sys, refused to go away as everytime i tried to delete it i would get a message stating that "a device attached to the system is not working" or something along that line.
Anyway, i tried to get rid of it by installing Windows XP to a USB hard drive that i have lying around so that i could use the command prompt to delete the file from the windowssystem32drivers directory. That didn't work as i would get the message "NTLDR is missing" and my Windows 7 installation wouldn't boot either as i'd get the message "Error loading operating system". To add insult to injury i found, after using the installion disc for Windows 7, that i could have just used the command prompt in the repair section of the disc which allowed me to get rid of the culprit file.
I've tried running the startup repair from the Windows 7 disc and it states that there are no errors found. For the first time in ages i'm stuck and i get the feeling that i'm going to have to reinstall Windows 7 all over again.

"USB device Not Recognized. One of the Usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows doesn't recognize it".
It works fine for other devices, only for this one gives me this error. I tried to reinstall the drivers again but in vain. I even reinstalled my system and it gives me the same error when I try to connect my nokia c3.
I was attempting to reinstall Windows 7 because it was getting slow, and I was almost finished and was on Completing Installation... phase I get an error saying that "Windows could not configure one or more system components" and then it started rolling back the system. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and I never had this problem before.

As you can see in the attachment, this is what is wee when I either first start up my computer, or I try to print something. Various small differences will show up in the error, such as the weird characters will be in different order etc. When I try first start up my machine and this error pops up, I only have to click okay once for the message to disappear. However, when I try to print, I must click "OK" at least 20 times before the message stops popping up. Its getting annoying and I'm afraid that it will eventually get worse. I've always troubleshooted my own problems, however I'm not even sure where to start as I cant understand the characters or what program could be causing this.
