Setup_wm Error And System Rating Error
Sep 29, 2009I can't get media player to run on the system.I installed Directx 9.0c.
Also when attempting system rating I get an error saying "could not measure video playback performance"?
Suggestions?

Jun 28, 2011i recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. What is wrong with my computer? I also ran a system repair thing from the windows 7 disk, and it came up with this error: System File Integrity Check and Repair Error Code 0X490

AMD Anthlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 6000+
2 Hitachi HDT725032VLA SCSI 320 gb hard drives
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GS Graphics Card
3gb of system memory
An Unexpected Error Has Occurred. Check The System Event Log For More Information On The Error
Nov 15, 2011when i click format a 150 gb partition space in disk management option i recieved the following message "An unexpected error has occurred. Check the System Event Log for more information on the error. Close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer". and the drive does not appear like other drives in MY Computer?

All goes well, it installs everything, but as it finished I get this error: I have tried redownloading, using other installers and updating my graphics drivers. Nothing will work. It's probably worth mentioning that the first time I tried installing, about a week ago, my computer totally froze in the middle of the install and I had to force restart.

Jul 25, 2011Shortcut Icons just show the >unknown< icon.I have tried to:
1. reboot in safe mode
2. move the shortut folder in and out
3. closed Explorer.exe and reopen it.
4. the last thing i've tried was to use the system restore as many say htat would help the problem. but when i want's to run system Restore it comes with the fatal error "0x80090067", so i cannot restore. WTF.

After the Acer manufacture screen, just the blank black screen with the blinking line.I have tried everything, cant seem to figure out how to even get it to open in safe mode. Only thing I can think of would be to use the restore disk which I dont have. Is there a way to legally make a restore disk on another PC to be used on the broken laptop?

It reached to the page where it shows the disk partition. I deleted the partitions and created new one. However, whenever I create the partition, it creates a primary one and gives me error saying Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition.

Oct 25, 2009I recently tried to install a mac osx on my computer that was currently running windows 7. I created a separate partition on my 320GB hard drive that was unallocated space until I partitioned it. After I installed it, when I tried booting into that hard drive, I got the non-system disk error. I went back into the mac osx install disk and erased the osx installation.
I then put in the windows 7 installation disk and clicked repair my system. It searched for startup errors and found that the Boot Manager was missing or corrupt. Is there any way I can reinstall the Boot Manager without reinstalling all of Windows 7? I ran the startup repair a few times until it could not find any problems. Now it says: Disk Error. Press any key to restart.
