I have a linksys WMP110 running on a gigabyte M55SLIS4 motherboard every time i try to connect to a wireless connection with the card the OS reboots, But i took the card and installed it on my friend mother running the same release of windows 7 and it worked completely fine no reboot not at all and he ran it for more than a week .
So can some help me out here probably tell me what they need to see why it reboots
Ok i used the MS compatibly site to see if the linksys WMP110 was compatibly with windows 7 and it said it was, So i bought it installed the drivers (which were actually vistax64 driver) it worked for a bit and then the computer started restard, try change the PCI port same problem,, Windows 7 did not auto install drivers for it i had to manually do it
Does any know of a good wireless card that works with Windows 7 with out any problems
After updating with KB2507938, his USB wireless mouse and keyboard stop working. Apparently his regular, wired keyboard works. Doing a System Restore fixes the problem, but after turning the computer off and then on, etc., the update reapplies itself.

When I went to Network and Sharing Center and clicked on network icon our home computers were shown but the other active network's gateway showed up. I was able to click on its properties and see its mac address etc. I called my provider and their tech section is looking into it. I have an admin password and running encryptation with a password key on my 2 wrie gateway. Does anyone have an idea as to what could be the cause of the other home network gateway showing up in our home network?

After doing some research I've seen some people allocating more memory to minecraft by creating a .bat file and inserting this coding (assuming I am using the correct words. I have a flash drive. It works great in ANY PC except mine - It picks up the USB drive but shows it as if it has a raw file format - cannot open the flash drive but it shows up on my comp. Now you might think my PC it the problem, which it probably is, but all other USB hardware (including OTHER flash drives) works fine on my PC. Why does my PC not detect it properly?

Disconnected the wireless and plugged in the new USB Mouse and new USB Keyboard. Booted up system, the mouse was put into a purple round converter so I could plug in the usb to it, put the keyboard in the actual port. Mouse worked but keyboard had no power to it. I know it works because I had th wireless plugged into the same port. I have run out of ports to try. What now???

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've only had my new computer with Windows 7 for just over a week and it won't work anymore. It goes into Startup Repair and says it can't repair this computer automatically. I press "Finish" and then it just restarts again showing the logo of the motherboard on screen and then goes back into Startup Repair again.
I called the shop where I bought it and they said it is possible I was loading too much software on too quickly. It is a computer I use for business so I wasn't loading any rubbish on and I didn't install that much - Office suite, antivirus, modem software, printer driver.
My problem is when I go into computer (my computer) the search in the top right isn't working from within this window! However if I click to go into an individual drive the search will then work from within there on the individual drive. At first it told me the index had been switched off, so I turned it back on even rebuilt the index. & its still the same except it doesn't tell me about the index when I try to search anymore.
It will still search within the individual drives but not from within the computer window. Apart from this the installation works fine. I even run a scan with Kaspersky & Spybot S&D to make sure of any nasties causing it. & run a CHkdisk this morning. I would rather not have to perform a system restore or new installation. It took me ages to install all my apps & don't fancy doing it again.
at my place of work I have my own desktop PC which is running Windows XP, we are all using Windows Server 2008 and have the ability to connect from home using a VPN and RDP which is pretty pants due to how slow and choppy the whole experience is.ow, I have managed to establish the VPN and actually map the main shared drive on our service without the need to windows RDC however I cannot seem to do the same for my own desktop PC.I want to be able to map my desktop or the hard drive on my work PC but just cannot figure it out. I have tried mapping the IP address and then using my username and password however that doesn't work either.
