Today I downloaded sims 2 double deluxe , seasons, and university all on my toshiba windows 7 computer. If I put in the sims university disc it'll show the screen that has the logo and then nothing, if I put in seasons it'll say I need to make sure sims seasons is in the drive and press ok. I've tried running them as administrator, I've changed all three of their compatibility modes to windows xp service pack 3?
I just bought a new computer and it has windows 7.I've loaded the sims 2 base game but when I try to load the sims 2 nightlife it stops at 47% and gives me a message about some support issue. I dont know what to do now and i've searched on the internet whether its compatible with windows 7 and apparently it is so what do i do now?
My computer crashed and I lost all my Sims data. I tried to reinstall with the original discs but when I got to the 20 digit code on the box, it said it was invalid (probably because it belonged to me). I had installed Sims 3, Expansion packs World Adventures, and Ambitions. I recently bought Late Night, but my computer crashed before I downloaded it. How can I reinstall these? Will any of the work I did on each one be restored, or will I need to start in the beginning of each one?
Anyone had similar problems with The Sims 3 crashing computer to the safe mode screen? Been playing Sims on my laptop for couple of years and everything was fine until I installed a new game. Im not sure whether there is a windows update which is interferring or not. Anyone experience anything? There is nothing wrong with my graphics card and my fan isnt overheating. My dad works in IT and we have basically pulled apart the laptop and rebuilt it and it still crashes when The Sims 3 is installed.
I managed to install Sims 1 but after clicking play nothing comes up. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, and I've searched for any other solution online but nothing seems to work.
I just installed Da sims on a HP pavillion dv5 laptop with Intel Core i5 processor & 4g ram with windows 7.The game itself runs rather fine, but the options on the upper part of the screen (build, create family, demolish...) are oddly GONE.So, I installed the same game on my PC (wich runs on win XP) and it works perfectly, with th eproper options on the screens upper section.
I can not play the game The Sims 3, I have all the add-on at the moment. After an hour of playing my game, and you receive a black screen and the taskbar. By the middle of the screen the message a crash with a proposal to stop now. After that I see the error logs.Do not understand why the game crashes on my new computer, the other plays the superior Tae Sims 3 run without crashes.Else noticed this feature. When I play in The Sims 3 PC starts to make noise more than when I was just surfing the internet or watch movies.
i got home put the game into my laptop (2 week old dell inspiron with windows 7) & the usual window didn't pop up like it has with all of the other disks i have put in my laptop (including other dvd's). I then went in to open it manually but it is not recognising a disk. Firstly i know it is not that there is a problem with my laptop as all other disks work on it & secondly it cannot be the actual disc & i have actaully returned 2 thinking that they were faulty, i am now on my 3rd. I have looked at forum after forum & tried all of the relevent suggestions but i don't seem to be getting anywhere.
I experienced some flashing/flickering/blinking of the screen while I was playing The Sims 3.I know the game has overheated graphics cards in the past, so I'm concerned; thankfully, Christmas is coming up if I need a new card.
We have a laptop which has a 1gb graphics card built in which has been updated and we are trying to run sims 3 on it but after playing for a short time it crashes. I have tried to change dep but with no luck. The sims is upto date version 1.29.55.014001. The windows 7 is home premium. Has someone got this game to work without crashing?
I've checked the forums here at Windows seven forums and still have not found my answer. I recently received a Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I put the disc for The Sims 3 in the disc drive, but the download box won't open. I've opened Run, but my computer will not recognize the disc.
So coming here was sort of a last resort, I've been scouring the internet for information but I've failed to no avail. My problem is that the Sims 3 Launcher and game is running in the background is what I've gathering from bits and pieces of information I've picked up the past two hours. I've checked the task manager and in the Processes tab it shows it running, or processing, I just cannot see it or access it no matter what I try. I'm getting no error code, nothing out of the ordinary. I've already tried bypassing the launcher and the game seems to be running in the background too.how actually stop a program from running in the background if possible, it just happened to a game, sorry for any inconvenience.
I downloaded some new houses and at first whenever I moved to one it would flicker black a couple of times then blue screen. Then I deleted them, started a new game with no custom content and played for half an hour but was blue screened again.
Windows 7 users. I have Sims 3 and the game will not install, it keeps saying this: "There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details". I do not know what the Log is, and I do not know why it keeps coming up with the error...
ive just bought a game for the kids which we used to have on our pc, the sims complete collection. when trying to install the game it gets to 95% then an error message comes up.ive read the back on the case and under OS it says window 98/2000/XP which i didnt think to check first.
I have Windows 7 Home premium and keyboard and mouse are wireless. However, the old keyboard is sticksing badly. Disconnected the wireless and plugged in the new USB Mouse and new USB Keyboard. Booted up system, the mouse was put into a purple round converter so I could plug in the usb to it, put the keyboard in the actual port. Mouse worked but keyboard had no power to it. I know it works because I had th wireless plugged into the same port. I have run out of ports to try. What now???
I bought a new computer tower last night it came with keyboard and mouse im using my old montor and speakers till i can afford new olds The speakers work but the sound is extremly low and i have it maxed out My old computer was about 5 years old, Do need powered speakers/
I bought The Sims 3 years ago, worked fine. I then bought World Adventures and Late Night and again, worked fine. I then got Pets for Christmas, was working fine until about a week ago when it froze every so often when i went to the map view, i would then have to press the desktop button and the message "The Sims 3 has stoppe working" would appear... un-installed all of the games and reinstalled them, didn't work. Then started freezing, during game play as well, unistalled them again and reinstalled - again no luck. I have turned off all the DEP on the exe files of every game, still no luck.I have tried trouble shooting all the games and no luck there.I have:HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PCIntel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 430 @ 2.27GHz Installed Memory: 3.00 GB (2.86 GB usable)64-bit Operating System
I get the following error. "The peripheral does not appear to be plugged in"
I've updated the driver and it says the realtek device is working fine. Sound worked just fine on this computer but then stopped. I do not have external speakers.
I know absolutely nothing about computers so this may be a stupid question, but anyway. I have a 64-bit computer system, but was shipped a 32-bit Windows 7. Can I use this with my computer?
I formatted my PC and reinstalled Win7. Now Stereo Mix wont work. I've reinstalled the drivers (not sure if correct ones) and I've also checked off "show disconnected" or "show disabled".I need to record computer sound with camtasia studios to finish my Minecraft Lets Play?
My wife has had a couple of BSOD's when I am not around to see the error message. She just reboots and continues working. I have attached the zip file for review. The machine is an IBM ThinkCentre desktop running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. The hardware is a few years old, but it has been running this OS for over 6 months.
I've only had my new computer with Windows 7 for just over a week and it won't work anymore. It goes into Startup Repair and says it can't repair this computer automatically. I press "Finish" and then it just restarts again showing the logo of the motherboard on screen and then goes back into Startup Repair again.
I called the shop where I bought it and they said it is possible I was loading too much software on too quickly. It is a computer I use for business so I wasn't loading any rubbish on and I didn't install that much - Office suite, antivirus, modem software, printer driver.
My problem is when I go into computer (my computer) the search in the top right isn't working from within this window! However if I click to go into an individual drive the search will then work from within there on the individual drive. At first it told me the index had been switched off, so I turned it back on even rebuilt the index. & its still the same except it doesn't tell me about the index when I try to search anymore.
It will still search within the individual drives but not from within the computer window. Apart from this the installation works fine. I even run a scan with Kaspersky & Spybot S&D to make sure of any nasties causing it. & run a CHkdisk this morning. I would rather not have to perform a system restore or new installation. It took me ages to install all my apps & don't fancy doing it again.
at my place of work I have my own desktop PC which is running Windows XP, we are all using Windows Server 2008 and have the ability to connect from home using a VPN and RDP which is pretty pants due to how slow and choppy the whole experience is.ow, I have managed to establish the VPN and actually map the main shared drive on our service without the need to windows RDC however I cannot seem to do the same for my own desktop PC.I want to be able to map my desktop or the hard drive on my work PC but just cannot figure it out. I have tried mapping the IP address and then using my username and password however that doesn't work either.
I connect some XP (Pro, 32 bit) Clients using a bat file to our NAS (Still using workgroups, no server)The command in the bat file is like this
net use \NAS01 /user:Admin Password net use \10.70.1.10 /user:Admin Password or net use \NAS01 /user:coputernameAdmin Password net use \10.70.1.10 /user:coputernameAdmin Password
This is working with all my XP clients pretty fine. No I want to do the same with a Windows 7(Pro, 32 bit) Client .The exact same command occurs this error message: System error 1326 has occurred.Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.(Username and password are correct, working on all XP clients)is that when I am using a non existing user name and any password, i says: The command completed successfully.
After a new install of Windows 7 ultimate, 64 bit, I don't get the characteristc beep from pushing the startup button. Otherwise the computer starts up as expected.
