i m download gta 4 and this game creates a problem. the game says please select any folder which download your game i select and try all folder but error and says {gta iv or eflc is not found in current directory}how can i install??

I have no clue what this means.Already uninstalled and reinstalled all the vcredists (2005/2008/2010 x86+x64 with SP1).Rebooted my system several times.
Uninstall (all vc versions)
reboot 1
ccleaner
reboot 2
install (2005 & 2008 & 2010 x86/x64 versions)
reboot 3
windows-update
reboot 4
nothing changed.
I also tried the "repair" option of VCR 2008/2010 and rebooted, but this did not help either.Everything else seems to work fine.I have run a lot of games today, to test any other game for VCR errors, nothing else is effected by this error.Since several days there were no changes to my system.No system related updates or any driver or config changes at all.
EDIT: I remembe I had one R6030 once, wich also let me not run GTA4. But I do not remember what I did last time. Maybe it is just a simple Registry fix, but the explainations regarding the R6030 error are fror programmers and not for a person like me, who just installs VCR version in order to play a game (and the game requires the VCRs).
as usual I turned off my laptop and after a while a turned on again to use my laptop but it couldn't reach operating system and showed error : " OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND" !
I tried all instructions to solve the problem and finally run by windows start up CD to re-install new windows. this time I faced error: " No drivers were found. click load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation"
So the other day I logged on to my computer to find all my downloads gone and not reach able and the folder has a huge error something like File osociated cant be found. I have system restored to the previous today and it didnt work What do I do?

I had updates waiting to be installed before that and I'm also worried whether the ones previously installed were picked up automatically. Now I'm not sure how to proceed.
I just did some reading and found out how important the updates are security-wise. Previously I had thought they they were more or less optional.
When I right click my favorites folder (in Windows Explorer) there's an option to "add current location to favorites." However when I try that option (for example, when browsing in C:Program FilesAdobe) nothing gets added.

I have an image of my current system, created last night ( created in windows 7 from the "Ctrl Panel> Recovery>Create a system image" option) stored on my external 1.5Tb drive. It is stored in the "WindowsImageBackup" folder that was created and contains two .vhd files. one is obviously the image at 39Gb)
With my system running (Win7 Home Premium) I want to install this image onto a new, larger HDD and then replace my current drive ( 80Gb ) with the new, larger drive (320Gb ).
I simply want to copy the image from my external 1.5Tb drive to a "New" 320Gb drive (connected to my system via a USB2.0 to IDE and SATA cables that I use for backing up people's files and things from crashed machines) The "new" drive shows up in "Disk Manager" as "E", healthy partition, formatted, etc.
Is there a way to install my backed up image to my 320Gb external drive, THEN open my desktop pc, and replace my current 80 Gb drive with the 320Gb drive (already imaged and bootable as if nothing changed except the size of the drive) ?
Also, do I need to delete the partitions on the "new" 320Gb drive so that it shows up as unallocated space?
I have hundreds of videos I captured and I need to clean them up. Is there a player that allow me to delete the video permanently while playback without going to the folder and delete it manually? Like when you browse images and delete while browsing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI ask if its possibly to make a F10 backup of my current drive so that should something go "pear shaped" then the option to restore my PC would be there.There is currently a hidden partition on my laptop with recovery software on it however as I resised the partition on the C drive this somehow "broke" the recovery software and is apparently a well know issue with Lenovo and their onekey recovery software.

If I press my finger against the metal case, I can feel a tingling sensation which becomes painful if I hold my finger against it for too long. I've never had this problem before. I use a lot of software so as things get installed and uninstalled bad things tend to happen and sometimes things are beyond repair.My question is can I use my product key to download from someplace an image of Windows 7 with all the updates already installed? Installing the updates becomes very time consuming and the machine has to be restarted many times over so I am trying to avoid this. I suppose I could disable the updates but that is not really my intent at this time.

When I type delete volume it says:"Virtual Disk Service error: The device is in use." but when I type in delete volume override it tells me:
"Virtual Disk Service error: Delete is not allowed on the current boot, system, pagefile, crashdump or hibernation volume."Is there a way to go about fixing this without wiping my entire drive and starting from scratch?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am accessing another computer by read/write rights to specific folders.Today, I was at the host computer and I saw a file, that I deleted before, still there.When I was permanently deleting it, it was going off; but when I refresh, it was coming back.When I tried to just delete - recycle - it, it told me that I didn't have the rights to do it.When I checked the security options from the properties, it showed the owner as "Unable to display current owner" and didn't let me to change the owner or delete the file.What can I do in these kind of situations when current owner cannot be displayed or changed?(I understand the file can come from/to host computer, remote computer, and one of the external drives which may have a different owner -remote computer controls all the external drives, just some of the external drives has a creator owner in permissions also)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had an existing properly working system consisting of a SSD 64GB for my OS and a Raid1 config with two 1TB drives for data. My SSD ended up being to small as certain programs do not let me remap content to a separate drive. I have upgraded (swapped out) to a 240GB SSD reinstalled windows on it and windows does not see my raid1 in disk management, nor does it see my two monitors or my connection to my router. It was my understanding I could just swap out the SSD's and reinstall windows and it would see everything.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI ran Combofix without any problems and removed multiple items.I started my McAfee to run behind it this morning and it ran extremely slow.I ended up stopping it and attempted to go back to run combofix again tonight and even tried a few other downloads.I keep getting a message that my current security settings will not allow.I have already did a temporary shut down of McAfee to make sure that it was not interferring.I know that I still have atleast some sort of problem because the google search is still acting up.
