He does have comcast, but he says that in the past, he's never had issues with traffic shaping. Also, his SYSTEM is slowing down (anything else he does gets really choppy) not just the download, so we think that indicates it's not just the normal ISP stupidity, it's something wrong on his system side.

I have attempted to download 7zip from CNet, but my computer warns me that it could damage my computer. I tried to verify the signature but I was unable to follow the directions. Jun 10, 2011May have a virus or had a virus due to a possible lapse of McAfee virus scan. Have a Dell (dec 2009 Desktop) with a Window 7 OS and Office 2007 Software. I did a restore to an earlier date hoping to restore settings but it didn't change.resently in my document folder are a first level of folders, when I pass my mouse over the folder it indicates that there empty, but I bought an external drive and when i moved the folders to the drive and read the drive / viewed the folders on another one of my computers they are complete and contents are visible. If I open excel or word and open a recent document it opens and if I look at the properties it points to the folders that otherwise show to be empty. Might be a separate problem but the same cause of the problem, when i view my yahoo mail and click a document for download, I select document download and I see nothing after that.

I get an Adobe Acrobat error message saying I cannot open file because it is either not supported or file is damaged. This message comes up every time I try to open a zip file, no matter the source. Feb 20, 2012I have a user who goes to a public HTTPS site to download an excel file and she is being prompted for Windows Security credential. She types in her username and password and hits okay, but it prompts for it again and does it for total of three times before letting her open the file.
1. I entered her username and password in Windows credential manager and it is autofilled when it prompts so she has to just click okay three times before she is able to access the file.
2. All she has to do is hit "Cancel" once and it will still give her the option to Save or Open the file.why it is prompting her for credential and I had her use another box which worked correctly without any credential prompts.This is not a Sharepoint site. It doesn't seem to prompt for login if its none office files.
