Applications Dont Have Permission To Access Appdata Folder?

I ended up getting infected with some stupid virus and had to ultimately restore to a previous saved instance of my OS.Since then my Owner/administrator account seems to have problems running applications and applying the appropriate permissions. Any apps that use the C:UsersOwnerAppData folder no longer have permission to save files to this location and I cant for the life of me figure out how to fix it.

Lost All Email Access

Just got a call from a friend who recently bought a new laptop running Win 7. He says he was originally able to get to his email (presumably through a selection on his browser) but something changed and he can no longer find a way to access his email.The friend has little or no technical knowledge, so most of my questions resulted in an "I dunno" response.

I plan to visit him tonight for a look-see. I am not up to date with Win 7 features. Is OE still used for mail in Win 7? I use Thunderbird myself, and found it works well in Win 7. Do not know what mail prog. is now a MS standard with Win 7.I will try get more info and to dope things out on my visit. If we know his provider and email ID do you think we can get to his existing account and set up things so he can once again get is Email?

I just got a job working for a production company based in the UK, they have set up an email address online thru the company for me, and said thaty I need a client to support the mail and to be able to view it...they suggested I download outlook express. I have a 64 bit laptop with Windows 7 and I searched for the proper program but apparently Outlook Express is not compatible with my system. So now I just need to link the company email address to my hotmail account (which has recently been converted over to outlook anyways. So i linked both email accounts so that the company emails are delivered to my hotmail account, but I have to access the company email address to click on the verification link first before the mail will be delivered.how to access that email account. I a having problems connecting to windows explorer and my live email. After doing a google search for a particular site, it took me to a local survey. When I used the trouble shooter it tell s that I have a broken connection and I should try to reboot my router. Needless to say that this doesn't work but I have many things connected and all still work. First I tried to do a restore, which not only work. But it did not respond to it. Then I tried to do a wired connection, but that is the same. I thought definitely this would work. I am using a anti virus and firewall which I cannot do a scan or a update with and has not expired. Also using OS Window 7. No recent change made or downloads.

In my country Lithuania (Europe) it's ridiculously overpriced to $500 so I must buy it from the internet. I was about to buy it from Ebay for around $50-100 but then I figured out the truth. My friend informed me about all that region stuff. I mean most of them are "for distribution in US only" and thus the activation code is not going to work in my country Lithuania (Europe).

laptop's windows 7 programs (My document, computer, pictures, recycle bin and etc.) won't open. The windows shows up but it only in white, next thing I know the Not Responding window will open and ultimately it restarts. I've tried installing anti-malware programs as some forums suggested but it didn't work. It's been like this for about two months now. I'm been using WMP's "open" button to navigate my way through my files because that is the only way I can open them.

I often want to send an email attachment from my desktop or other directory. When I right click on the file, and click send to email recipient, i get an error telling me no email program is associated to perform this action.I don't have any stand alone email program s installed. I strictly use web based email (gmail & hotmail) as my mail programs. I do not wish to install a stand alone program such as outlook or Thunderbird. How can I associate my request to email to a recipient to automatically go to my web based email platform (gmail or hotmail) and send the mail?I cant seem to find a hack or a small program to install to tell Windows 7 to use my web based email as my program!

First I know this has been asked a many times but no solutions seems to work for me. I have a bunch of stuff going wrong and all seems to related to each other. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.That is how the problem progressed:1. I was trying to enable Telnet service and found out that 'Turn Windows Features on/off' in Control panel > Programs and Features is a blank list.I checked on internet and i found out that it means my windows update wont be working as well so i check it:2. Windows update gives the error 80070002 and it does not check for updates.. Again check net and it said to run sfc/scannow in command prompt (as administrator). I did it. and it gives error 'Windows Resource Protection can't execute the command'.

I have tried everything. I have tried: msconfig.exe to enable/disable services and restarting and rechecking. Uninstalling my Avast Antivirus. Running MS Fixit toolI have checked disk check in advanced startup options. Deleted C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload' contents and recheck the Windows update facility. Nothing works. I dont have Windows CD coz my laptop came installed with windows.
