Windows 7 Programs Dont Respond And Ultimately Restarts?

laptop's windows 7 programs (My document, computer, pictures, recycle bin and etc.) won't open. The windows shows up but it only in white, next thing I know the Not Responding window will open and ultimately it restarts. I've tried installing anti-malware programs as some forums suggested but it didn't work. It's been like this for about two months now. I'm been using WMP's "open" button to navigate my way through my files because that is the only way I can open them.

All drivers for hardware are up to date and installed. To be specific on the keys that do not work they are Alphabetical and Numerical keys only, the escape key, tilde key, tab, caps lock, shift, space etc all work... The wierd thing is that the numpad will not respond ingame if num lock is on, If it is off the buttons work BUT it recognizes them as Insert, Page down, Home, Delete etc. What driver or peice of hardware could possibly cause this problem. This problem occurs in Counter Strike Source and Starcraft II, havent tried any others but the problem is identical in the two games. If however i pull up the developer console i can use the keys perfectly to type a command but once im back IN GAME they just dont respond. When i tried to change my key bindings it cycles through numbers 0-9 doesnt matter if i press X 3 times then P 7 times it will go in a sequence of 0-9.

So i have had it for like a month now and i got it from a We Buy Gold shop something like a pawn store so it was basically used. The laptop was working fine fast and well i downloaded games such as mmo's grand chase and i played that and it ran really well no problems. Sometimes the game would have problems and i would have to press the power button to reset it and i did maybe like 20 times i know thats bad. And now for dome reason when i log into my laptop it would take a while for the windows screen to load and then i would be logged into my laptop i would go on google chrome and use the internet watch videos after about 5-8 good minutes google chrome would load slow and then clompetely stop loading and i would exit and google chrome and re-launch it after i re-launch it it wont come up and i would try launching other programs such as control panel or any of my mmo's and they wont even appear and then when i try pressing mutiple application at a time the cpu would freeze. It was way worse before sometimes i couldn't get past the windows log in loading screen i would be loading for like and hour and I would have to power rest AGAIN. Today I booted up my Samsung laptop wanting to begin gaming. Instead of being met with the game client menu I was met with a not responding client. This happens to almost all of the programs on my computer. It affects google chrome, control panel, and even sound mixer. I noticed that my computer also will not shut down without assistance. It gets stuck at the circle saying shutting down.

So there are a few programs that do not respond whenever I launch them. It seems that the list is getting bigger... Now I cant login into steam, when I click the login button it starts 'not responding'. Same happens with some other soft.SFC scan says that there are some corrupted files but they cannot be fixed. I dont know whether that is the case or not, but what can I do about this

The laptop is an i7 with 8GB of (some kind) ram, Win 7 64bit, etc.Boot and load times are not an issue, however with nearly any program, be it Excel or Photoshop, mouse inputs are beyond slow. I have to hover over a button for a second before it even highlights. It seems that if the programs are open for a little while that it is somewhat better, but still not acceptable for how new the computer is. CPU usage and memory usage are very low and no particular process seems to be hogging resources and causing the issue.I have formatted and completed a new install within the month, ran the computer with minimal programs installed, with all drivers and windows updates installed with no change. It's not a virus or any kind of malware. I have tried various sizes of virtual memory/ paging file with no change either. I've tried another set of memory modules with perhaps a slight improvement, but it could have been the placebo effect as well. My gaming rig I built works perfectly with none of this nonsense, but I can't figure it out aside from blaming it on something that HP has installed, or with its proprietary drivers that are causing some conflict.

as it says in the topic, my browser works fine but all other programs cannot connect to the internet. also windows firewall gives me error code 0xd69 and 0x80070424.ive seen a topic on here with someone with the same issue but no solutions.ive tried AV scans and windows repairs but none of them worked. i cant get windows to update either.

windows will stop responding after I click something. I tried using ctrl alt delete, but the screen would just turn black and give me a message saying "failure to display security and shut down options". Everything was fine with my desktop before and it's still new. Just bought it a few weeks ago. This started happening yesterday when I tried to add songs to this free mp3 player I got. The system said that the mp3 player malfunctioned and started making a sound, the sound that you hear when you repeatedly insert and remove a USB. I swear everything on my pc is legal and that there are no viruses. I tried scanning the pc in safe mode of any corrupted files and there was only one, but a message said that the file was fixed

I'm building a new PC and I want to buy a retail full licensed version of Windows 7 Ultimate. I don't want OEM or any other kind of version. In my country Lithuania (Europe) it's ridiculously overpriced to $500 so I must buy it from the internet. I was about to buy it from Ebay for around $50-100 but then I figured out the truth. My friend informed me about all that region stuff. I mean most of them are "for distribution in US only" and thus the activation code is not going to work in my country Lithuania (Europe).

I relocated my 500gb hdd to insite. Before i had it as exernal hdd. But i get black screen when i start my pc. I get even if i remove it.in black screen here is also flashing "_". When i installed Windows 7 i didnt have it coneted witht pc. Sorry if here is some miss spells using mobile to write.

I think the problem comes from the last installation of partition magic 3 program in the windows 7. Now, when i start windows it goes to repairing starter and detect a problem with \?GLOBALROOTDEVICEHarddisk0Partition3Windows in Windows Directory. And the name of Problem is "StartupRepairOffice"

i have 2 windows 7 computers that dont recignize that i plugged in a mouse. i know the usb port works because i use thumbdrives and other usb devices and it recignizes them onecomputer is an alianware m11x laptop the other is a custom biult desktop computer i know the mice works because they work in my husbands laptop but neither of my computers plzzzzzz ive tried like 5 differnt mice and none work

i am having an issue with my windows 7 icons not showing the proper picture on the taskbar. i recently reinstalled windows 7 ultimate. all of the programs open properly when you click them but they just do not show the proper icon. it just looks like a broken image and they are all the same.

I had Excel 2007 on Windows XP and now just upgraded to Windows 7. Excel 2007 (also tried the beta of Excel 2010) does not work well. The PASTE function losts it PASTE FORMULA and other paste special options. Sometime, it shows up but most of the time it's not there. CUT/INSERT cut cells are also gone.

I have this windows 7 for year and not have problems until now. Now the windows doesn't respond when it works and only the mouse fan move, but with cursor in position of loading. ctrl+alt+delete doesn't work and only shut down the computer can work. I tried use "safe mode" and the sound driver didn't work. I succeeded to do recovery two times but the problem repeat on itself. I tried to scan for virus but there wasn't. How can I handle it?

Why the screen will hanged and closed my game automatically when I'm playing maple story?After my game closed,the right bottom of my deskstop pop out the warning or something,the warning message showed Display driver intel graphic accelerator for window 7 stopped responding and has recovered.This will happen when I move my character of Maple Story to a place that complicated and the place that have many people there.

My computer doesn't respond after a few minutes of logged on. I can't find a fix for it and don't know what's causing it. i don't have much startup programs and whenever it freezes, the cpu useage is low so there isn't a program that's using all of my cpu.

First I know this has been asked a many times but no solutions seems to work for me. I have a bunch of stuff going wrong and all seems to related to each other. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.That is how the problem progressed:1. I was trying to enable Telnet service and found out that 'Turn Windows Features on/off' in Control panel > Programs and Features is a blank list.I checked on internet and i found out that it means my windows update wont be working as well so i check it:2. Windows update gives the error 80070002 and it does not check for updates.. Again check net and it said to run sfc/scannow in command prompt (as administrator). I did it. and it gives error 'Windows Resource Protection can't execute the command'.
I have tried everything. I have tried: msconfig.exe to enable/disable services and restarting and rechecking. Uninstalling my Avast Antivirus. Running MS Fixit toolI have checked disk check in advanced startup options. Deleted C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload' contents and recheck the Windows update facility. Nothing works. I dont have Windows CD coz my laptop came installed with windows.
