Number Keys Do Not Work When In Browsers?
Aug 29, 2011Upgraded a Toshiba laptop from vista to windows 7 and now have a huge problem. The number keys do not work when in browsers???? They work on notebook and in the calculator but not in IE or Firefox. When you push them they just repeat the last inputed keys. Ive flashed the bios up to date, read a million forums, and done ever littl trick I know of with no avail?

Sep 23, 2011i have an interesting problem. my keyboard's number keys on the top row sometimes do not work except for the 5 and 6 key. so i unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it worked!... for all of 2 minutes.

Sep 21, 2011I am trying to create a new Bibliography/Citation style for Microsoft Word 2007. I am trying to mimic the ASCE style. For all practical purposes, it is exactly the same as the APA style; however there is to be no comma between the author's last name and publication year for in-text citations in ASCE format. For example, I want the in text citation to look like this (Suess 2011). But for APA, it writes it like this (Suess, 2011).
For the "Bibliography/Works Cited", APA and ASCE appear exactly the same, so no changes needed there. I thought I could take the APA file(s) in C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft OfficeOffice12BibliographyStyle and find out how to remove that one comma for in-text citation only, but the code is way to much for me. I'm not even sure if its the right way to get to what I'm looking for.

Sometimes when i type the letters turn into shortcut keys and when i am in the middle of an important school asignment I loose my work, because i can't do anything. I have used Rkill, malwarbytes, norton and ccleaner, but nomatter what i do it keeps happening. The only way i have been able to temperarily fix it is to restart the computer and the problem can come back in 30 minutes or it can come back in 10hours . it even happens when i play games.

There was a nasty virus on it that I managed to get rid of, but now programs won't run unless I first right click and click "Run as Administrator". Shortcuts also won't work (I assume for the same reason.) Does anyone know of a fix for this so we don't have to constantly click "Run as Administrator"? By the way, there is only one user on the computer and it is an administrator.

If I unplug and replug it in again it will find USB to serial com 19. It just keeps going up. How can I reset it back to 3 or 4.

The first step I must do is to partition a disk.As far as I have been reading tutorials on this site it is recommended to separate Windows/ programs and Documents into separate partitions. So I am going to create C- partition for Windows and Program Files of about 100MB.What about the other partitions. Is it worth to create separate partitions for say for "Images", "Documents", "Development Projects". Or is it better to put all this stuff into one partition? Advantage of multiple partitions, as I see, would be more flexibility for backup/recovery. From the other side, disadvantage of multiple partitions would be not optimal usage of disk space.
