View 8 Replies View RelatedAdministrator CMD prompts at Win7 Installation I was installing Win7. After the cd was booted and the file-loading was done. It went to a Win7 background with a cmd window popping up.
it says
Administrator X:windowssystem32cmd.exe

What should I do to pass through this or fix it? I'd Windows 7 for many times but have never seen this before. Is there any hardware problem or something else?
I use D3DOverrider, and I have it set to start with Windows. The problem is that UAC prompts me to allow it on every startup. How do I give it the privileges it needs for UAC to leave it alone?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've got a desktop computer with XP Pro SP3 and a laptop with both XP and Windows 7(dual-boot). These two computers are connected through a router in a network(desktop comp-wired, laptop-wireless). Everything works fine, except the sharing in Windows 7. From the desktop computer I can access all resources on the laptop without problems. From the laptop, everything works fine too, when I try to access the desktop computer's shared folders and printers, but ONLY FROM XP. Every time I want to do this from Windows 7, I'll be prompted for a "network password". I have no idea what I had to enter - I did a search over the internet, and found following suggestions:
-turn on network discovery, file and printer sharing, public folder sharing at the Advanced Sharing Settings, and disable password-protected sharing
-both computers are in the same workgroup
-disabled the limitation of blank passwords in the group policy editor
NOTHING WORKED. (firewall might not be the reason, because I use Windows Firewall, and it's configured to enable sharing)What username/password do I have to enter, or how could I access the resources without a password?
for internet explorer 7 how do I disable the prompts to let or not to let the scripts run

View 9 Replies View RelatedEverything was going ok, I have Windows 7 Beta build 7022 32Bit. Then I installed ccleaner and performed both ccleaner and registery. Now what ever I try to download with IE gets stuck at 99%. Does anybody know if ccleaner caused this problem and can I fix it.
This is my only problem so far, I have windows live installed no problem, and my system runs ok even though I have only 512mb ram and an old Hyrican laptop.
My Ccleaner runs only up to 30% then gets stuck.

As I understand it if I clean the TC, each time I open a folder it will need to rebuild the thumbnails. I believe this slows things down. Is there a benefit to not cleaning or does the cache keep growing and using up more space?
I lost ccleaner, when in the process of wiping cache it stops and says ("ccleaner has stopped working") ("a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if there is a solution.") is the message I get when trying to wipe cache. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling ccleaner but same thing happens. I'm upgrading from my ASUS P8H61-M LE to Gigaabyte B75-D3V. Also means I can dual Sli my GPU.Anyway, I've read that you can just swap the mobo and boot in safe mode and windows 7 will change the drivers. I've also read to go into safe mode to remove the old drivers, reboot and run CCleaner then swap and boot into safe mode.
