Just downloaded the Home Premium Upgrade 64 bit ISO file from MS and want to replace my 32 bit OS. I know I have to do a Custom install, and somewhere at the beginning of the install is the option to format my C: partition. I missed it a few weeks ago when I installed the 32 bit.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI setup my win 7 machine and during the network setup I accidently added a character on the end of the name of my network. It now will only show the network by this name so I am unable to see or access my home server or the other 4 Vista machines. I can access the internet but not the other resources on the network. I have went into properties and changed workgroup name, deleted connections and the wireless connection is called the same as my network name but it still shows the network as the wrong name. In vista you could merge networks to get rid of this problem but not here that I can find.

So not sure what to do now or if it is a fix from microsoft that has to be done? I did follow all the right instructions to do the change but with no change. The Theme will change when I click on it but not the back ground. Read tutials and treads and made sure I was doing it right and all settings were right but still no good!! However, they would really prefer it if the OS language was in Japanese (eg when you press the Windows key instead of 'Computer' it's 'コンピュータ'). I've tried fiddling around with mine, but changing the language seems to only change it for my clock, not the entire OS. I've heard with Enterprise one can freely change the languages in such a manner, but I would like confirmation before I recommend my friend a laptop and buying another OS if it's unnecessary and changeable through some other means.

I think it was a problem on my Grapich Card, that Grapich Card is more than an old card so it works!
