Why is CCleaner trying to delete some of my important programs? Like Google earth, Skype, MS Anti malware which is program for the safty of my computer, and a dozen more important programs.

I have Secunia on my computer, which is 64bit. Secunia says I have several programs duplicated some with 64 bit after the name....can I delete the non 64bit programs?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a 64 bit laptop. When I go to 'my computer' and OS appears under Hard Disk Drives, it says I have 25.3 GB free of 283 GB. I deleted a lot of images and folders and programs that I didn't need, I even deleted over 5,000 songs I've had but it's made no difference. I've gone through all the folders that I know of and into Uninstall and gotten rid of what I could. The bar is red and there is not much room left. How can I find things to delete to make this go down? It never used to be like this and I think it's messing with the performance majorly.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEverything was going ok, I have Windows 7 Beta build 7022 32Bit. Then I installed ccleaner and performed both ccleaner and registery. Now what ever I try to download with IE gets stuck at 99%. Does anybody know if ccleaner caused this problem and can I fix it.
This is my only problem so far, I have windows live installed no problem, and my system runs ok even though I have only 512mb ram and an old Hyrican laptop.
My Ccleaner runs only up to 30% then gets stuck.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've always cleaned the Thumbnail Cache using CCleaner but after doing some reading I'm a little unclear as to the benefit.
As I understand it if I clean the TC, each time I open a folder it will need to rebuild the thumbnails. I believe this slows things down. Is there a benefit to not cleaning or does the cache keep growing and using up more space?
I lost ccleaner, when in the process of wiping cache it stops and says ("ccleaner has stopped working") ("a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if there is a solution.") is the message I get when trying to wipe cache. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling ccleaner but same thing happens. I'm running windows 7 ....

I'm upgrading from my ASUS P8H61-M LE to Gigaabyte B75-D3V. Also means I can dual Sli my GPU.Anyway, I've read that you can just swap the mobo and boot in safe mode and windows 7 will change the drivers. I've also read to go into safe mode to remove the old drivers, reboot and run CCleaner then swap and boot into safe mode.

Does any know how to keep a SSID on top, under Manage Wireless Networks?. I know when the users add other SSID's, they go on top of the older ones. Over time our school SSID is pushed lower and lower, so when a user brings in their school issued laptop, the laptop tries looking for the SSID's that are first in line as their cached profile is logging in. Thus, our Proxy Server doesnt authenticate them, therefore they dont get internet access. I need to keep our school SSID on top. We are using Server 2008 R2 with Windows 7 and a handful of XP's and Active Directory.

I backed everything up to HD2 and then deleted everything off HD1 and installed. I was tired and never thought about it until now... Is it bad to install windows 7 on an un-formatted hard drive? Because I'm noticing this thing doesn't copy/paste/delete files as fast as it previously has. On a side note; wow did you know how many services and processes eat up memory by simply installing your everyday programs? This clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate has 1/3rd of the processes that it used to run!

My USB ports have stopped working when I plug in a flash drive I get This in the device manager USB mass storage device cannot start. (Code 10). This happens on all three on top of computer and one that is free in the back. The flash drives work on my other computer. I have tried to update the drivers says they are upto date.
