Advanced SystemCare Free - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET [URL]I realize Advance Care offers more options, but am curious to which one provides the best service vs effect on system. Are the options offered by Advance Care necessary or can they be accomplished as effectively by using the built-in Windows functions ?My interest is that after a recent clean install, I downloaded CC Cleaner and it did not seem to work properly. Took long time to activate, etc. Just curious about the comparison.
I just run Advanced System-Care 6 to optimize my computer and after restart, I check that my computer doesn't suspend.I checked suspend setting and they are as before. When I go to START >> Suspend it tries to suspend and go back to login screen.Any idea how can I reset these settings?
I'm currently in safe mode in my windows 7 laptop which I can only access this computer by. The reason is because when i try to boot windows regularly, I get past the login screen then to be pwned by some black screen with my cursor only displaying. I downloaded a software from IOBit called Advanced system care, then I ran a full system clean. I came back later to reset my laptop and encountered an update, I let it update. When the update was finished, I started getting the Black screen of death.
Things I tried: - System restore (It couldn't find a restore due to the update) - Uninstalling updates (No difference was made) - The CTRL+ALT+DEL then some link for the fix (CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't work) - Start up repair (Nope, no difference) - The /sfc command (It worked but, still no difference)
I'm think pretty much stuck as I don't have a Windows 7 CD, although I have a formatted USB, I'm considering downgrading to XP. But, I'm getting problems with that as well.
after running Advanced System Care Free (latest version), I noticed that my windows explorer pinned folders jumplist disappeared. Is there a way I can prevent that from happening again? I can't find a specific setting for it.
Hard drive in 2009 Satellite P500 series notebook, Windows 7 Home Premium X64, is pre-Advanced Format Drive. The 2008, 500 GB Hard drive failed with SMART warning at every boot. (Pre-Advanced Format Drive) Replace with new 500 GB HDD (AFD) Advanced format. Repair with Toshiba supplied 3 Disc set "Recovery Media Satellite P500 series"... Boot okay, no network, Device Mgr shows 6 yellow exclamation marks, but properties all show "The device is working properly". Download latest drivers and install... no change in symptoms. Scrounge up another 2008 (320 GB) Hard drive, and the Recovery Media installs fine. System boots and everything is working great.Image Backup with three different programs, (PQ Drive Image (GHOST), Acronis, Active@Disk Image)Restore to new 500 GB (AFD) hard drive Continue to configure and customize system, and install all the latest updates. Install again, the new AFD hard drive into computer. Machine seems okay.. Use it for a couple days. Discover that Windows Update does not work. Says service is not running. but it is. I spent most of a day trying to resolve. can't fix it. Download an install a stand-alone fix does not work either.

I am looking to upgrade my desktop from an xp to 7. System builders are very cheap which concerns me. What is the difference from a system builder and the regular version.
I have a Gateway P 7805U. It came with a single 320GB HD. It came with Vista but I upgraded to 7. I want to install two 1 TB HDs set up as RAID 1. I was told by MS that I would not be able to transfer my OEM Vista to the new HD and that I would have to buy a full version of 7 to install on the new HDs. What is the difference between the system builder and the retail version of 7? Will I be able to to a full install with the system builder?
I'm trying to find a free software that can scan, find and delete any empty/unwanted files folders, etc from Windows 7.I thought it might have been Toolwiz Care.I can't remember what it was.I know its one thats readily available from various sites like download and other well known freebie software sites.
I have installed Windows 7, on my Vaio VGN-SZ660N and I`m having lots of difficulties with installing its new drivers.I can not install Windows Shared Library, So My Function keys do not work any more and more important I do not have my "Battery Care Function" any more which resulted in damage of my battery.where I can get "working drivers" for my Model? Because the ones on the Sony website do not seem to be working...
tell me if a re-install from a system image file on my notebook is as good as a clean install from say a retail disk.I can not format all my drive and start a fresh. Can my System image file become glitchy or infected with a virus.?
So I can't turn on Network Discovery to share files etc via network. I'm on Windows 7.I googled and found one specific solution, which was to make sure several services were set to automatic and started. All but one specific service would not cooperate " FUNCTION DISCOVERY RESOURCE PUBLICATION".Alas, I googled this fix as well, it came up with a dozen suggestions, from creating a new windows account, launching applications via admin privilege, resetting nstat stuff via cmd...even copying over some new keys in the reg, and even editing one called BFE....all failed.I had this same problem on my other laptop, but samsungs running windows 7. I don't know what to do at this point. I've spent about 6 hours googling and attempting fixes. This is the error after attempting to start the service via service.msc "Windows could not start Function Discovery Resource Publication service on Local Computer error 0x80070005: Access is denied"

When I began using CCleaner, I configured it only to Empty Recycle Bin and clean Temporary Files in the System category. When the program upgraded, it also chose to include Windows MS Search in its tasks.I like using CCleaner for above tasks and would like to know for which of the following additional files in the System category it is safe to use: memory dumps; chk dsk fragments;clipboard; Windows log files; Windows error reporting; DNS cache; cached fonts; start menu shortcuts; Desktop shortcuts.Dell XPS Studio 8100, Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, 64-bit, IE9?
I always used CCleaner on my old XP system, would it be advisable to use the same programme on a new Win 7 system?Just wondering if there was anything new in Win 7 that did the same job or better.
Everything was going ok, I have Windows 7 Beta build 7022 32Bit. Then I installed ccleaner and performed both ccleaner and registery. Now what ever I try to download with IE gets stuck at 99%. Does anybody know if ccleaner caused this problem and can I fix it.
This is my only problem so far, I have windows live installed no problem, and my system runs ok even though I have only 512mb ram and an old Hyrican laptop.
Why is CCleaner trying to delete some of my important programs? Like Google earth, Skype, MS Anti malware which is program for the safty of my computer, and a dozen more important programs.
I've always cleaned the Thumbnail Cache using CCleaner but after doing some reading I'm a little unclear as to the benefit.
As I understand it if I clean the TC, each time I open a folder it will need to rebuild the thumbnails. I believe this slows things down. Is there a benefit to not cleaning or does the cache keep growing and using up more space?
I lost ccleaner, when in the process of wiping cache it stops and says ("ccleaner has stopped working") ("a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if there is a solution.") is the message I get when trying to wipe cache. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling ccleaner but same thing happens. I'm running windows 7 ....
I just wanted some advice from people with first hand experience at upgrading motherboards without re-installing windows. I'm upgrading from my ASUS P8H61-M LE to Gigaabyte B75-D3V. Also means I can dual Sli my GPU.Anyway, I've read that you can just swap the mobo and boot in safe mode and windows 7 will change the drivers. I've also read to go into safe mode to remove the old drivers, reboot and run CCleaner then swap and boot into safe mode.
I Don't Need Use Your Uninstaller or Revo Uninstall But I Need Use CClearner. How to Use It For Delete Registry After Remove Some Programs In Add/Remove In Control Panal or Unuse Items ?

I was setting up a program to run at schedule and noticed Ccleaner in the task scheduler.I never use the cleaner per se, only some other features. Should I remove it(hilite and delete) or is it there because I have used the Application cleaner ?
This is a great forum you have here! OK I am having a very low-tech month I think. I am trying to trouble shoot a problem with my system which had been running reasonably well until now -- I say reasonably well because lately I seem to have hit some hardware challenges. More on that later, however (if required). In order to trouble shoot my issues, I find myself needing to reinstall Windows 7 (My boot disk which is an SSD seems to cause the system to hang when it is connected so I am trying to install a new verion of Win 7 to troubleshoot the other from). Now I have ample space on a couple of drives so that is where I targeted. Everything runs fine in the installation process, the system reboots and I am presented the screen to enter a system name. I enter a name but the "next" button is protected and not clickable . Does this mean anything to anyone?
I've changed the setting of maximum processor state on battery from 100% to 50% to save battery. But the setting resets to default 100% time to time. I don't know why this is happening.
