I am sure everyone recognizes this: at almost every startup, you see the boot animation. Windows 7 uses those 4 colors that merge into a Windows flag.
But the animation freezes at a random moment, then after 3 seconds it disappears and there we have the normal menu where you choose a profile to login with.
I want to see the animation completely, so making use of those 3 seconds where the OS is loading to continue the animation.
You have this in Windows XP too, where the loading bar freezes.
Are there any solutions for this? It would be fantastic to see the Windows flag at the end, and not just those 4 colors about-to-merge.
The problem is that when the bootscreen is showing, the animation plays just a bit and then it freezes, but windows boots ok. How do I fix the bootscreen animation?
My Windows 7 has stopped booting after a restart, the system would just endlessly play the boot animation and not boot properly... system restore won't work, startup repair won't work, chdsk and sfc won't work. I have yet to try and see whether a Registry fix works. Windows loads the WRE VERY slowly.
I have an Asrock Extreme6 Z77 motherboard, and of course it comes with their signature Instant Boot.I have a Crucial m4 so booting wasn't an issue but I enabled it anyway to test it out. It didn't really do anything so I disabled and uninstalled it. However, now when I reboot there is no Windows loading screen, it just goes black after the Mobo splash screen and then shows the Windows login. This isn't a huge deal but I can't seem to figure out why this is happening. When the screen goes black, my USB keyboard and mouse go off too (the back-lights go off). I don't know if this has anything to do with anything but I thought I would mention it.Also, in msconfig the option for No Boot GUI is not checked.
I don't know if this one can be done. I know how to turn off the ding sound it makes when my computer boots up but does anyone know how to change the boot screen animation? I would like to put one of my own animations on there instead of the windows logo popping up from 4 little lights.
I cannot find an answer to this, why this is happening, done several installations of Windows 7(32 or 64 bit) but it will never show correctly the boot animation. It only does show it when it wakes up from sleep, which the computer fails to hibernate or enter sleep mode.
An example of what happens on boot is in this video:
I have been getting problems when booting. Whenever I boot the windows startup animation stops until I press enter. Then it spots again for a couple minutes until I press enter. I tried clean boot and safe mode which did not help.
I have just installed (and reinstalled) Windows 7 Pro (32 bit) on my system, and get no boot animation... the number 7 morphing from the Windows logo.Instead I get the text Starting Windows and a small red dot in the centre of the screen!Windows does boot correctly and there seem to be no related issues, so I am not overly worried, though it is certainly od
I've assembled a new computer and everything is good, but when I put my Windows 7 Ultimate disk the Windows Loading is starting then the animation, but since then the screen is completely black. I waited at least half an hour. I tried to replace the disk drive and the IDE cable, but no change. I put the disk on another computer, and it works properly and displays the screen with the blue Windows 7 background where the installation begins (and asks for the installation language), instead of that black screen.

I have installed Win 7 RTM on several PCs and I like the new Win7 animation (the windows colors rotating then merging into the logo symbol). For some reason on my HP Mini 5101 this animation is replaced by the older Vista animation (the line of dashes moving left to right over "Microsoft Corp".. Is this "normal" or is there something I can do to change it to the Win 7 animation?
When it came back I installed everything and whenever I start it up there is a 10 second delay before the startup animation starts. then it takes its normal course. When my bootup starts now it seems as if it has a much longer bootup than before I rmaed it and it is quite annoying seeing as I have to shut it down because it will not resume from hibernate or sleep.
my mouse loading animation (the blue circle) keeps randomly appearing at 30 second intervals for no reason. Is there any way to stop this or disable the animation? Its rather annoying when im gaming and it randomly appears.
I have this laptop on loan and ca not play the gifs I created on WXP, there must be a simple solution, like open with windows picture and fax plyer but its not here?
how to change the background of the logon screen however, I'd like to change the little blue ring animation. I'm familiar with resource hacker and restorator but haven't been able to find where this animation is stored to make the desired change.
I have the same symptoms as Orpheus2000 posted in November 2011. Unfortunately for me, that thread ended without any apparent resolution. I've tried everything suggested yet Spider Solitaire still won't show the animation. When I go to 'options' the 'show animation' option is checked but greyed out
About a month ago my PC was freezes on bootup. When I eventually got into Windows, the PC would often freeze again resulting in several bootups and system startup repairs etc. I ran several free and paid-for hardware diagnostic applications which all gave the results that no hardware had issues. I updated all the drivers so again eliminating any issues here.
My old hard drive crashed, so I went ahead and bought a new one.I installed the new one, and popped in my Windows 7 CD. The first problem happened here. During the installation where I partition my drive, it told me no drivers were found and I had to insert a floppy disk with the drives on there for my hard drive.I didn't know what drivers I needed, nor had a floppy drive so I just transferred the hard drive to another computer in the house, and successfully installed Windows 7 on it from there. After transferring it back to my original computer, the computer boots up (takes a long time unless I request the boot sequence to boot directly from the HDD) to the Windows 7 starting animation, where the four colors come into the Windows logo, then restarts and repeats in the process.
I've searched online, and I'm not sure if it's a connection problem or not. I think the connection I had previous to this new hard drive is the same. The only difference is my old hard drive was SATA but it was connected with the 4 input power chord, but my new one is just connected by the SATA power connector (no option for the 4 input chord).I'm not sure what the problem is. I tried going into the BIOS to change SATA settings and boot order preferences, however I don't see the option. I'm sure I tried checking under every setting.
If I close down my computer by switching it off with the on/off switch, when I next boot, I see the message"Start Windows Normally" and a stopwatch which counts off the seconds until the machine will boot normally together with several options to boot into Safe Mode, which is expected. However I cannot select"Start Windows Normally" or move up and down to select Safe Mode options. I have to let the timer run it's course and boot normally because the whole window is frozen
Sometimes when I boot up the computer, It freezes up. It will say the network is available like normal, however when we click on anything like a shortcut, start menu, etc.. the screen goes transparent and says the program is not responding, it never responds and if we click "Yes" the whole screen is clear, no start menu, shortcuts, nothing except the desktop background.
My laptop is continuously freezing after startup. I after booting up and logging in everything will load completely then will often freeze for 10mins to upwards of 50mins, and I will eventually get a Microsoft Explorer error and everything will disappear from my screen leaving up only my wallpaper. And all attempts at bringing up the task manager will not work.
My pc sometimes freezes just before the windows logo starts to play (attached photo) and authorities it boots up just fine! There is no blue screen or anything it just freezes. My pc runs fine otherwise and I am not overclocking. I do not want to reinstall windows as i have lots of software that have had all their serial keys used up. My system is windows 7 64bit retail. My PC has:
Nvidia evga GTX 460 i5 2500k cpu intel DP67DE motherboard 6gb of ram
Firstly, my system specs are on my profile I got a new ram stick for my PC. Here's the link from where I bought it:Flipkart: Corsair DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) PC RAM (CMV4GX3M1A1333C9): RamSo I put it in and booted up the computer. Worked fine till the welcome screen of windows7. I then logged in and after the startup processes were loaded, I got a blue screen of death. Got it couple more times when I booted it up. After that the screen never gave any BSOD. Just kept freezine. This kept happening again and again. I thought it might be because my older corsair ram sticks could be conflicting with this one. So I booted it with the new stick only. Same freezing of screen. So it definitely isn't conflicting RAMs.
I decided to see if the problem is with the stick or some driver issue. So I booted into Ubuntu and am currently typing through it. Been using it since a couple of hours and is working fine. So this definitely is a windows issue with the RAM stick as windows works fine if I remove the new stick. Also, windows works fine in safe mode with the new stick too. Any idea what is the issue here? I'll be posting the minidumps of the BSOD in a short while.
have asked this question before but I relocated my question here. I recently built a new computer. i5 quad core, Ga-p55 mobo, 8 gigs of ram- ddr3 1600 corsair, nvidia 460gtx se. When i start my computer up it freezes on the Windows Logo. I tested my ram, for 8 or so tests, no problems. I used 2 different hard drives and the problem happens on both of them. One of them is 500gig which i know works, the other was 750gig. when windows does load it takes about a minute or 2, with no other programs on it
Each time I turn on my PC, it boots up fine, but then when I open FireFox, I get a freeze up. I can still see the cursor and move it with the mouse, but there is no response when I click on anything. I have to shut the PC of manually and then when I restart it again, things work normally for the rest of the session.
I have a problem where windows 7 freezes just after logging in. It's happening on a new build (i7 2600k, asus P8Z68-V PRO, thermaltake 775w psu, 16gb 1833mhz corsiar vengence, crucial 120gb ssd, evga gtx 570). for three weeks the computer ran great and super fast. while playing a game it froze and required a hard restart. I began playing the game again and 20 minutes later it did the same thing. after another hard reset it began freezing after logging in. Sometimes getting stuck, sometimes getting a blue screen. in safe mode the computer would work fine. I had the asus autotune OC on the first time it happened, subsequent times had it off.
I discovered the issue seems to be the video card driver. after removing the gtx 570 the problem still occurred with the onboard video and intel drivers. When i uninstalled the intel drivers and just had standard vga there were no problems. this led me to believe it was a motherboard issue. luckily my motherboard was under 30 days old so i returned it for a new one. Same problem and i'm stuck on what the solution might be.

I am struggling to fix my computer. It all started when I went to install an 3rd 1 TB drive to my computer. The computer seemed to boot up just fine, then once windows started to load, I got the BSOD. Now I have disconnected all the drives but the one my os is on. When I load windows, I get a couple mins of use, then everything just freezes. I can work with safe mode a little, but it will randomly reboot after a few mins sometimes. I don't know what the problem could be. Here is what I have done/attempted so far. Disconnect all unnecessary devices - no changeRan a memory test - okTried startup repair - it says it fixed a couple problems, but I have not noticed any changesRan a DiskCheck - Fixed a couple bad clusters, but I have not noticed any changesSwapped PSU with one I know works - No changesRight now I am running a virus scan, I'll post later what the results were. I have attempted to do a system restore, but windows keeps crashing before it completes it. System Specs:Windows 7 x64AMD Athlon II x4 635MSI 880GMA-E458 GB DDR3 RAM (4x2GB)Saphire Radeon HD 5450
