Basically whenever i try to use windows media center to play a bluray disk, it automatically quits out of wmc and launched powerDVD, which is jarring and feels like a cheap hack.
is there any way to get bluray disks to lay inside wmc?
trying to install cyberlink powerdvd11 trial,i get so far and it says i have cyberlink powerdvd installed and i dont.i deleted powerdvd 9.it asks if i would like to delete it i click yes and then i get 1628:faied to complete installation.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am running Windows 7 X64 bit OS. When I "click" on the CyberLink PowerDVD 12 Pro desktop icon nothing happens. This program was working until I encountered a small problem and was advised to uninstall the program and then re-install it. It did re-install but as mentioned in my opening statement the program will not open. All my other desktop icons open their respective programs.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 (64bit) and made the mistake of installing an old version of Cyberlink PowerDVD, only to discover it's incompatible with Windows 7. So I have been trying to uninstall it to no avail. I've read some other posts online and they are very technical for me to follow. Anybody have a solution they can put forth in layman's terms. I'm not afraid of going in the Registry; I just need to know exactly what to do to fully uninstall this program! Then ... I promise I'll use Windows Media Center to play my DVDs!

I have been able to run bluray in this version before (Terminal Salvation). I'm sorry I don't keep up with updates and just expect things to work, crazy consumer I am. It's not a defective ROM this LG CH08NLS10, so you can get that out of your pretty little heads right now ? is there any wonder why I haven't gone all Highdef yet?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just purchased an LG BH12LS38 Bluray reader. I popped in my Bluray disk and it said that some drivers needed to be installed. So, I grabbed my install disk, the one that came with it.. I know it sounds redundant to say. And I selected to install the software, it say that it can only install for LG readers. This seems odd to me, seeing as I pulled this LG install disk from the LG box that held my LG reader.

On Blue Ray disks (only) I don't get the chapter information displayed, allowing me to choose the required movie or chapter, nor do I have subtitles displayed. Sometimes it's displaying a glimps of them indicating where they should be on the screen but not solid allowing you to make your selection. Sound and video are ok. using nvidia 9600m on Vaio. anybody ?

Can't seem to find anything on the web including ms/technet about selecting certain drives to be used by the vm. The integration options for drives doesn't allow the user to choose which drives. Is it all or nothing?
Is there a way to select certain drives only for use in vm integration?
Would only like for the vm to see & use the host windows 7 drive.

Power DVD9 is already my default player for my BluRay isos. I would really like to use it for my SD DVDs also.
I did a clean install of Windows 7 RC 1 on this computer that has a Blue Ray player in it. I've successfully played a Blue Ray DVD but partway through the movie the computer just completely restarts.I think I've narrowed it down to specifically either a Blue Ray problem or a PowerDVD issue. There is no error when the computer restarts, it just does. This has not happened on any other application that I have run on the computer either.

I haven't used it extensively though, so, while I think it's unlikely, is it possible for me to say, install a game controller for Windows XP, then use it with a Windows 7 application?
I would try it, but the controller in question had a rather lengthy install process, and I'd like to know that before I spend all this time to find out something is useless.
After XPMode working flawlessly, it is all of a sudden giving me errors. When I lanuch it, it takes a very long time, the green bar goes all the way till the end where it says "Starting the virtual machine", then it errors out stating, "Could not enable integration features". Nothing was changed. I cant use my XPMode applications either.

It is an Intel Pentium Dual core e6200, 4gb of ddr2 at 800mhz, 500gb wd 7200rpm as boot drive and 2tb wd green as data drive, Samsung blu ray drive, a RADEON hd 5650 1GB and it is all in a Silverstone gd-05. The blu ray drive came with cyberlink powerdvd 9 to play blu ray and every time I try and play a movie it crashes the software. When I ran the blu ray advisor it says the video card isn't fast enough. Is cyberlink lying or the software just that crappy?

HD and CD-ROM both connected to black connectors on Intel D975XBX2 MoBo. BIOS set on default. With CD-ROM connected POST proceeds normally until it gets to "EB" test where it hangs for 2 minutes then proceeds to integrate with the OS. When integration complete, the CD-ROM and OS operate normally. If I disconnect the CD-ROM from the black connector, POST and integration proceed normally and rapidly.

Roxio Creator 2009 gives me a message that 'Remote Desktop is not supported by this application'. Not sure what RD has to do with Roxio but, I looked in Device Manager and have 3 yellow ? (like many others I've read) for Virtual PC Integration Device. I've tried to let XP find the drivers on it's own but it does not. I'm not even sure if this has anything to do with my problems running programs but assume it does.
So, are there drivers available for this Virtual PC device and if so where?
Also, what should I see under Display Driver? My video card is not listed but as I'm not a Virtual PC user, this might be normal.
You know how you can integrate service packs into windows and create an Windows installation disk with service packs included? Can you do the samething with Software programs like Office.....etc.
Is this a programmer thing? I know from my own system I can use a Ghost like program and create an image of my drive. I am not talking about that though. I am talking pure installation with programs pre-loaded on the disk to save time on haveing to install them.
