I have Windows 7, 6 memory 650 HD, quad core -2 year old hd computer. ISP CABLE 12 m speed - On net speed tests , i get 10 to 20 download speeds. I am using 335 g with, with 249g showing as still available for a total 584COMPUTER is running very very slow on net and non- net, with occasional hang ups that last sometimes last as much as a minute. The Hang ups are more frequent on non- net and I sometimes get the no responding. We checked everything that could be using extra resources and it made very little differences We discovered one potential problem and I seek your advice on this matter-- In the info drive properties , The box that says says " COMPRESS THIS DRIVE TO SAVE DISC SPACE " was CHECKED.A friend said that if the g's are uncompressed , my 335g could possibly be double and the drive is overloaded causing the computer to run slow everywhere- He suggests that I just go buy a new 2 tb hd and move all my stuff over and keep the existing hd as a partial back up.I am extremely hesitant to remove the check box for fear of what could happen.I do happen to have everything backed up via external hd including the Operating system , but putting that in motion is something that I would like to avoid.

My Windows 7 Lenovo ThinkPad X201 X-64 system experienced 3 BSOD crashes today, after 6 months with no issues. All three bugcheck codes seem to be for different errors.I have attached SF Diag output, CPU-Z screenshots, and RAMMon screenshots.

I was trying to do a clean install on a Dell Inspiron 545MT (with a samsung hd642jj drive) and initially formatted the system partition (NOT the recovery partition) and then tried to do a fresh install. Now, everything goes smoothly, all files are copied properly and everything. After all the setup goes correctly, you should technically see image 17 (please ref to link): Windows 7 Install Guide Page 4The inspiron does all the installation steps perfectly fine up until image 16, and after it says "Starting Windows" the screen goes blank and the computer just ..ort of ... stays idle and nothing goes beyond that!I've done a hardware diagnostics test and the hard drive passed all the tests, and I've tried installation with 2 different installation discs, but to no avail.
The only solution I thought of was to purchase another hard drive (and sorry, is that Samsung a SATA II or a SATA I? I don't know!) and then try installing it there.I know the Windows files are installed properly (checked with Ubuntu), but for some reason, Windows 7 will just not boot

In the past few days, I have gotten many BSOD's while browsing the web, playing games, or talking to people on Teamspeak 3. Usually the BSOD/crash hits me usually an hour in while I'm doing those things in a session. Before I did get BSOD's and crashes but they were few and spread out. I never responded to them because they happened very sparsely. Now that they are very constant, I need to do some action. I have went into safe mode right now and am typing this on another computer. As for the dmp files, I didn't have the option for the BSOD crashes to save dmp files but now that that is enabled, I do have one dmp file that I can share.
Also I have noticed that sometimes that when the computer crashes, the sound becomes very distorted, the screen tears/fuzzes into a static-like image and then it just restarts. I either get this kind of crash or just a simple BSOD. It's very strange. Apparently these are considered BSODs as well according to bluescreenview, they just dont have the bluescreen. Interesting..
Specs:
OS- Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit
GPU- AMD Radeon 6870
Mobo- ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
RAM- G-Skill Ripjaw series 4 GB
CPU- AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
PSU- Corsair 650 Watt
Hard Drive- WD 1 TB SATA
Things that I have done but to no avail:
- Deleted MSI Afterburner
-Deleted Daemon Tools
-Completed a Memtest86 on my RAM. No errors even after 10 passes.
-Took out the RAM sticks, cleaned and then put back in their sockets.
-Cleaned the computer for dust
-Used Ccleaner to scan for problems and junk.
-Full scan of Malwarebytes. Caught 7 things but still nothing changes.
-Done an SFC /scannow scan
-Downloaded all the major Windows 7 updates.
-chkdsk scan.
Temperatures vary but they tend to stay normal. CPU average temperature is around 40 C idle. GPU Temperature is about 40C idle, 50C viewing videos, and and may hit to around 60-65 C while gaming. Fan speed on 55%. Temperatures when computer is idle on the desktop. Screenshots included below: The first bluescreen after I enabled the computer to allow dump files. More examples in the Mediafire list. I have some of the txt and DMP files but I cannot find an "include file" option here: I just upload them on Mediafire. Here are those links. [URLs]

I had 19 crashes in the past 4 month.A computer is 13 month old. The first BSODs happened on 27/12/2011. The exact statistics:
0x1A MEMORY_MANAGEMENT - happened 10 times (the 5 most recent crashes were 0x1A)
0x24 NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM - 4 times (the most recent happened 3 weeks ago)
0xE4 WORKER_INVALID - 3 times (the most recent happened a month ago)
0x19 BAD_POOL_HEADER - 1 time (2 weeks ago)
0x9F DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE - 1 time (3 month ago)
I'm attaching 3 most recent dump analyses.Besides BSOD, I'm also seeing event 11 in the event log, with messages like "The driver detected a controller error on DeviceHarddisk3DR3". Harddisk3 is likely to be a WD Passport drive plugged into USB 3.0 port. The drive is used for Acronis backup.Interestingly, the event 11 started to happen on 19/12/2011 (shortly before the first BSOD).
1) I'm ruling out RAM issues. Few weeks ago I bought a brand new 4x4GB kit and replace the old RAM modules. The problem still continued.
2) I upgraded motherboard's BIOS, downloaded and installed all the recent drives from ASUS site, installed the latest AMD Radeon drivers. All with little help.
3) chkdsk didn't report any errors.
4) I used Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 before, and upgraded to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012 in March. This upgrade had little effect on BSODs.
5) I'm also using Acronis True Image Home 2011.
6) System configuration:
CPU: Intel i7-2600 (stock clock)
Mainboard: Asus P8P67 LE
RAM: Corsair 4x4GB kit CML16GX3M4A1600C9B at XMP speed (G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL before that)
GPU: Fanless Gigabyte Radeon HD 5750
SSD: G.Skill Phoenix PRO 120GB as OS drive
SSD: Intel 520 120GB SSD as data drive (this was added recently - BSOD happened before this SSD was installed)
Discrete NIC: Intel Gigabit CT Desktop
Discrete COM port: MANHATTAN Serial PCI Express Card
PSU: Seasonic X-650
UPS: APC Smart-UPS 750 VA (SMT750I)
OS: Windows 7 64-bit SP1
Interestingly BSODs often happen at night, when the load is minimal. So I don't think it happens due to overheating. My prime suspects are: motherboard, fanless GPU, Phoenix Pro SDD, Acronis.

This is my 3rd Home built, 1st time with BSOD issues. On my 4th reinstall of Win 7. All new hardware. Minidump analysis and Performance Report attached. To isolate the problem, I have only loaded the video driver,(no apps, no data) and still get BSOD's indicating a ntkrnlmp.exe cause. (Not sure if I should have loaded the chipset driver with the video)The PC even crashed in Safe mode. I have run HDtune, memory testing, and chkdsk /f. Previously I had taken the PC to a repair shop, they reloaded Windows and drivers, but it crashed as soon as I brought it home.

This has been happening shortly after I bought my PC, around 5-6 months. However, back then it seemed it only happened while playing games, certain games actually. So I reported this problem to the store, they asked me if I had my PC near a wood table or something of the sort, I said yes, and they said that could be the reason because of some whatthefuck reason I can't recall. So I took the PC to another place, and also replaced the CPU cooler meantime but turns out it's still happening. But now it's not only in games, it's anytime, I don't know what to do anymore.
I had a blue-screen today and the error was the following STOP: 0X0000003B I posted a thread about this in this forum already, I've done Memtest 86 as told by a user here but no problems were found. From what I've googled this seems to be a driver (mostly graphic's driver) related issue, I've no idea how to fix it anyway.
Specs:
Motherboard: ASUS M4A88T-M USB/3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965BE 3.4ghz (Artic Freezer 13 CO cooler)
GPU: ASUS Radeon HD 6850
RAM: AMD Performance Edition 4GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200rpm
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

I recently changed my settings for Windows Update, to let it check for updates, but now it always asks for a restart. I tried almost every solution, i don't know what to do, i need SP1 for SQL Server 2012 to work, but it's not installing. I even downloaded the update from microsoft's website, but the installer fails. I tried almost every method i found :
- setting it to never update, then setting it back to automatic
- deleting the registry keys from the Update-er
- deleting the files in SoftwareDistribution
- trying FixIt (normal and aggressive mode)
- trying the FixIt method manually
- renaming the edb.log file in the SoftwareDistribution folder via safe-mode.
I can't give you an error number, since it doesn't show one.

My PC is only just a year old, and I've never had any problems with it before this. I was playing Skyrim, noticed it was flickering a bit which is unusual as I specifically set my desktop up to be a gaming set-up. I alt-tabbed to see if any processes were hogging resources, and saw that my bamboo tablet was taking a fair amount. I stopped the processes and unplugged the tablet from the USB drive only to find myself staring at a BSOD.Upon doing a system resource (safe mode wouldn't work), I then found that my drivers for my Razer BlackWidow no longer worked, and upon re-installing, still didn't work. I switched to my old bog-standard USB keyboard.Since then, I've had several BSOD's happen at random. Browsing the web on Chrome, doing University work on Photoshop, even when my PC is idle.I don't want to have to replace parts just yet, so hopefully this is a software/BIOS issue. I've included the 4 dump files separately, as browser wouldn't let me select a whole .zip file.

Initially I thought the crashes were heat related but monitoring the board shows cool temps. I am not overclocking either.

I usually have to boot my machine twice. I boot the first time, log into my (domain) account, and once windows loads, I get a BSOD. After that, if I reboot, the system works all day.
This happens if I'm bringing it out of sleep or hibernate too, but it has to be inactive for a few hours for it to give a BSOD.
I am running a Dell Latitude D620.
Windows 7 Pro 32 bit (fully licensed)
4 GB RAM
Intel T2500 2.00 GHz processor
Joined to a domain
Attached is the BSOD reports requested.

I've decided to join the forum seeking for help with this problem I'm facing on a relatively new Dell XPS 15 laptop. The machine is around 7 months old, has Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit edition installed (OEM) and has been updated to SP1. The problem first appeared when trying to backup files to an external 2 TB WD hard drive. While backing up the files, explorer.exe crashed, and my browser and iTunes crashed rapidly after, all giving some random address 0x. as the cause of failure. Around 15 seconds after this, I receive a BSOD with KERNEL_INPAGE_ERROR written at the top, and a notification at the bottom that the physical memory dump FAILED with status 0xC0000010. I thought that maybe I was straining the hard disk too much by transferring so many files at once, so I reboot the system, only to get a notification after POST that "there was a disk error, press CRTL-ALT-DEL to reboot". After doing this, the system rebooted, went into startup repair, rebooted again, and boot up normally. Ever since this ocurrence (which was a week ago) I've been getting random BSODs when doing random things on the computer, but mostly, when doing hard drive intensive operations. However, an interesting thing to note is that the subsequent BSODs did not contain the error message KERNEL_INPAGE_ERROR at the top anymore, but reported a STOP 0x0000004f at the bottom, and the same FAILED status for the physical memory dump. I tried running a chkdsk, but found no errors. I ran a DELL Memory diagnostics tool that found no errors. So I'm leaning towards a drivers issue.

I'm not terribly familiar with troubleshooting for computers. I've used them for years but haven't had any real issues until this new laptop.I got a BSOD for the 2nd time stating Driver power state failure. I tried updating windows since I thought that was the problem but apparently not.The BSOD said to check for any improper new installations (that could be anything really since this computer is relatively new) And also to disable bios memery options such as caching and shadowing (huh?)it could be related to the antivirus avast but I don't know since it could be anything.

I've started to get random BSOD's on my computer a few weeks back. They seem to have, in all cases but one, been triggered while running a game in fullscreen. A couple of times the computer also just froze, without any BSOD. The funny part is; I've gotten at least four different kinds of error messages on those BSODs. Here are the details: BSOD error messages.

This computer is 4-5 years old. Originally had Vista installed. Did a fresh install of Win 7 Pro x64when I bought the SSD drive.
In the last several months I have been upgrading it:
Installed 8 GB of 800MHz RAM - 4 months ago Installed a Crucial M4 SSD drive - 2 months ago Throughly cleaned all fans and the computer - 1 month ago Replaced Power supply that had failed - 2 weeks ago
This has been driving me crazy for quite a while. Before I replace the motherboard and cpu I wanted to see if someone could decipher the log files for me.
I have played with the BIOS settigs quite a bit. It may be time for me to return to default values..

Every day I come home and boot up my computer, and every day it BSODs either instantly or within 10 minutes, once I restart it seems to be fine and will run for DAYS. Also seems like all of my last systems have been having the same problem, so possibly it's some of the hardware I have been re-using, but it is beyond me to figure out and I just need it to stop..Windows 7 x64 full retail, fresh installed in the last 2-3 months, problem didn't exist immediately..Hardware varies from a few months old (motherboard, cpu) to a few years old (video card, hard drives, some older and some newer ram). I have tried with multiple different hard drives with fresh installs of Windows as well as different RAM combinations and configurations.
