BSOD Everytime When Install A Sandbox Style Software
Jul 1, 2012
i have a wierd problem, some months before i used to have a software named sandboxie. Then suddenly some time i started experiencing BSOD errors about a message i dont remember but it was like "wrong write adress in memory".I unninstaled sandboxie and it stopped. Then 5 weeks ago i installed another sandboxie-like software named buffer zone pro and after install same thing happens random BSOD with same message. Also my pc has been formated in the meantime from sandboxie and bufferzone for other reasons but the problem still remains.
I thought it was my video card but then i swapped it out and it is still doing it. it used to be random but now it seems to do it randomly and when installing new programs and also at 10% install on the new wow exp beta it is at 10% on the dot every time.
Every time that I shutdown Windows 7, it tries to instal 3 updates related to DotNet 4.0, and finishes in a BSOD. I dont have the minidumps cause when it starts again it's like nothing had happened, it doesnt show me any "Unexpected shutdown" window.
my computer Blue Screens about once every 24 hours or so, so it's not that bad yet, but it often happens when I'm not doing anything at the computer. It was only three times so far, but I figure that's more than enough to get help with it, so it doesn't keep happening.
it crashes suddenly and many times and it has given me this problems since i bought it,so i decided to post here to look up for the solution.
My computer's OS is windows 7 x64,it has 8 GB of ram and an Intel I5 Quad core processor 3.20 GHz.
I tried fixing the problem by updating drivers, searching for viruses, setting my pc to low power consumption, improving the heat dissipation with many fans and a new case and cleaning inside it,running chkdsk, uninstalling some useless programs and doing RAM tests but nothing of this worked.
I've been getting BSOD everytime I run a game which is graphic intense(like skyrim).I am using Alienware M17x with dual SLI with dual NVIDIA GTX 280m. I used to have a broken adaptor so I've been using a lower voltage adaptor that did not charge the laptop and used the Geforce 9800. This problem has been occuring ever since I got my new adaptor and has been using the 280m.
keep getting this admin prompt to enter username and password when i installsomething. the machine is part of a network. and i am logged in as a user. how do i change settings so a user never gets the prompt
I'm not 100% sure it's a sandbox program I need, but basically I want to be able to load up an XP program within Windows 7 without it being able to affect my Win 7 installation, and thought a Sandbox would be what I need, but those I've looked at tend to seem more related to specific programs themselves e.g. browsers, audio players etc.
I am wondering if i have a questionable peice of software that may contain a virus or what not if i can use XP mode as a sandbox to test it so that if it does it will not afect my Computer.
A program I use (neuro programmer) used to work quite well on my system but now when ever I try to load it, I get this error:[CODE]This obviously is related to me having sandboxie installed on my computer and then removing it incorrectly. I tried re-installing sandboxie and neuro programmer numerous times.I have tried to locate the folder but it doesn't exist on my systemI have run a registry cleaner (which I now know isn't the best) run several different spy/ad/malware scanners with nothing coming up.I haven't tested all my programs, but I am sure this could be a problem for a few of them.Is there anyway I can get this program to start? Is it a registry error? I looked in regedit and couldn't see anything really linked to neuro programmer (not that I am really aware of what to look for
this morning my computer had to go through startup repair but when my computer rebooted afterwards, everything was classic XP style. Ever since this morning I've been unable to change it back to my custom visual styles like Appows Nite and Leopard OSX. I've tried going through performance information and tools, but still no luck; it makes it look like regular Windows 7 aero style, but not my other installed themes.
how i can give my windows 7 a metro look i want the my whole windows 7 to have the metro look including my icons, folders, control panel i have made my explorer and my start button look metro so i just need my icons folders etc?
I've only recently noticed this, if I do ALT + TAB it will come back as the Windows XP style and it won't be the fancy Windows 7 style. In a previous thread someone stated that if you watch a lot of flash videos it will cause this issue. Is there anyway I can stop this from happening.
My Outlook 2010 installation has started displaying a dialogue box that my mailbox is over its limit and that I should consider coverting my data file to the new style MS Outlook 2010 data file which can handle larger file sizes.
I would like to know if I can apply the folder option for single clicking to open only to the desktop. I would like to leave other folders the traditional way.
I have a set of icons that I want to use, but I don't know how to change the icons in the notification area. I have everything else finished, but I just can't figure this part out.
I am seeing small artifacts on the upper edge of the taskbar (using classic view, I could use Aero if I wanted to). I'm not convinced that this is actually browser related, it is just that since I have a browser up full time, that is what is leaving artifacts behind. If I resize the bar, IE drag it up a notch and back to normal again, the artifacts go away (basically a refresh..).

I am looking for some advice or suggestions on something that has bugged me on windows 7 since i started using it back when it was released.I have quite a large (almost 200 gig) music collection, and browsing for music to listen to has always been a bit of a chore.Wondering if any of you know of a way to go back to XP style album art folders like this:The one on the left looks so much nicer! It always made me think Microsoft had take a backwards step by doing away with the old folders!Oh and 1 other thing. When you try to group a folders contents by 'Name' does anyone know if there is a way of modding windows so that you can sort by: A,B,C,D etc etc, rather than the standard A-H > I-P > Q-Z ??
i really dig a lot of the look and feel of the linux stuff out there, particularly conky. im running windows 7 instead of linux because it handled the raid install better, and because wine....well....lets be honest...Wine is not so hotANYWAY, can you guys post some links to some conky style system monitors to have on the desktop for windows 7? i really hate the look of a lot of the stupid fisher-price looking gadgets and widgets and junk, i like the 'smarter looking' conky type stuf
I recently added started using AeroVG Windows 7 's transparent theme and I like it very much. But it changed something and I would like to change it back. A picture would describe it much better so here it is:These are menus that would appear when you right click on your pinned applications. What I would like to do is to remove the black "glow" outline of the font color.
i'm building an htpc with xbmc on my windows 7 so i'm trying to customize the boot process. I changed successfully the boot logo (win 7 one) and the boot logon screen. The problem is that my tv supports only 1280x720 res and not the 1024x768 that needs the new windows 7 boot logo, so it automatically starts with the old windows vista boot logo. Can i customize that too in win 7? If i can how can i do it? It's the same of windows vista?
My Outlook 2010 installation has started displaying a dialogue box that my mailbox is over its limit and that I should consider coverting my data file to the new style MS Outlook 2010 data file which can handle larger file sizes.I was successfully using MS Outlook 2003, and 2010 for a while, now this error message pops up!
I want to know whether or not it is possible to change the new windows 7 boot screen (like the flashy logo thing) to the old vista-style running green bar?I've looked on the internet but only found fixes that turns the vista-style running bar back to the flashy logo windows 7 boot screen...
