Whenever I press the sleep button on my computer, or when I leave it idle and it goes to sleep by itself, I get a blue screen of death. I would really like to solve thiNow, this computer came with an AMD video card, but I uninstalled those drivers and took out the video card and installed a GTX 570 from EVGA. The drivers are up to date, so I am pretty sure the new hardware is installed correctly. Furthermore, it was not doing this for the first few months of having the video card installed. View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to wake my machine from S3 sleep mode I see the hard drive lights power up but nothing happens, I get a black screen for about 5-6 seconds then my machine proceeds to boot loop itself until i manual shut it down with the power button. Sometimes it will start up regularly with no problems, and about 60-70% of the other times it will do the problem i have explained above.

I installed a clean windows 7 installation, Worked fine for a bit and now when I put it into sleep mode it BSOD coming out. In hibernation it requires me to hit the power button to come back and when it does it just comes up with a windows black screen with white lighting saying "windows could not recover the data to load windows" then i need to coose to loose the data and restart or try and load the data (which never works).I have the minidump file that I ran in debugger and and analyzed, which I am pasting here since idk how to upload it;

I have noticed that my desktop will not enter sleep mode. Instead, the screen enter energy saving mode and the system continues to remain active for about 10 minutes before turning off. As long as my system does not enter sleep mode, it works just fine. According to the dump file, the issue is caused by ntoskrnl.exe and an errormessageDRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.

I am never able to put my PC on sleep which quite inconvenient. Actually my video card does not support windows 7 aero or there are no WDDM drivers available for my card which is ATI RADEON 9250. I am ready to upload any crash minidump files or any other log files. Also tell me if any WDDM drivers are there for my video card as I am not able to get them anywhere. I'm getting BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO, KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR and CRITICAL_OPJECT_TERMINATION errors pretty regularly. I ran chkdsk on my C: drive and got a registry file failure. This is a fairly recent build (<8 months).

I keep getting BSOD when I try to put my 5 year old HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop in sleep mode, by either tapping the power button, or going through the start menu. This started happening a couple days ago, after Windows did an update.
I've done a system file check and it came up clean, and I also updated my video drivers, but to no avail. I don't really know where to go from here.
My Windows 7 64-bit laptop crashes when I return to my computer after sleep/hibernate.
I cannot set up symbols on MS debugger (after many attempts) I have attached screenshots of cpu-z (both tabs) and my event viewer which lists 24 critical failures, all event ID 41: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
p.s. Dunno if this is important but the machine is a Sony Vaio but I have uninstalled all sony bloat ware (except Vaio Control Center)
I already had 2 OS on my HDDs (win xp and win 7 32-bit) everything's fine on them. no BSOD been using win xp for more than 3-4 years now and win 7 32-bit for 1 year no major problems now i wanted to install win 7 64bit to take full advantage of my 4gb ram(i had since the purchase of my pc) but problem once it's booted it randomly BSOD (sometimes just 1min after boot, sometimes 20mins, sometimes 15mins) but it ultimately gets a BSOD..i have tried several installations of win 7 64bit (ultimate, premium, home) all same problem.. had some problems with installation for some versions (BSOD on install)how come nothing on 32bit but it's nightmare on 64bit.my latest install of 64bit windows 7 enterprise has less BSOD now (i have disabled lots of features of my cpu in my bios, maybe it's the reason) find attached my latest 2 dumps. I seem to be getting BSODs when running uTorrent. This has only started recently. Usually this is when i leave it on schedule mode, set to download overnight. Today I have tested and found that with schedule turned off and uTorrent running, BSODs still occur. I cannot be sure it is uTorrent, but it seems to only happen when it's open and downloading. About a month ago my pc started going to BSOD while trying to resume after being put to sleep. PC is 16 months old. I read the forums, etc and updated the ATI radeon display driver and the Realtek network driver but the problem persisted.I also rolled back the system using restore to before the problem began but no change. I then reinstalled windows 7 64bit using the OEM CD rom and installed all the MS updates - no change. Last week, it occurred to me that it might be a monitor hw issue so I swapped out the monitor with another I had. That seemed to solve it - for 4 days - now it's doing the same thing with the second monitor.

I've been browsing this forum and many sites on google trying to find the solution to my problem, but I can't really understand what is going on, even when taking a look at the dump file. I ran memtest, did all the usual things, but no sign of source of error to pin point. Every single time I put my laptop to sleep and keep it like that for longer amount of time (I think it's about 20 minutes) I can't get my laptop back from sleep in a normal fashion. What I mean is, that the screen never turns back off, stays completely black, my external monitor doesn't turn on either, just goes to idle mode. After reboot I get a message that there was a blue screen error and I can try to look for solution online. I read that my SSD HDD might be the cause of it, but after updating the firmware the problem persisted and after looking at my memory dumps, I found out that DirectX kernel is causing the problems, but updating it didn't yield any results, the problem persists, so perhaps I am missing something in the dumps that aren't that obvious to spot.My RAM aren't stock that came with computer, both chips 4GB each are aftermarket ones, but I have no issues with anything when using the computer except when it is waking up and MEMTEST didn't throw me any errors after an overnight pass.

I put my computer to sleep and then sometime along the way it will crash and then shuts itself down. Only when I restart it do I find out there was a crash. But now its been doing it so often that I need It seems to always crash if its been sitting in sleep mode for several hours. One of the BSODs were caused by Netwns64.exe, I had therefore updated the intel wifi drivers but other BSODs were caused by NTOskrnl.exe.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter putting my computer to sleep, upon waking I receive an error code, which should be present in the dump file. I closed the error window before copy pasting it in here. I will update the post with the error information next time it happens. This only happens when putting my computer to sleep. Hibernate and shutdown do not have this problem, and I have not received any BSOD's during use. This has been happening for about 10 days. My memory set up is kind of strange. I have 2x1GB 1.8V ram and 2x2GB 2.1V ram, both DDR2, and both running at 2.0V. I didn't want to overvolt the 1.8V ones too much. The timings are slightly loosened on the 2.1V ram to match those of the 1.8V ram. I have run Memtest86 with no errors. My hard drives have also checked out fine.I have my q6600 overclocked to 3.0GHz, with a voltage increase, CPU-Z is saying it is running at 1.408V. I have run plenty of Prime95 tests. No stability problems, and temperatures are always acceptable. I have had it at this overclock for 7 months, ran at stock the previous 4-5 years. My GTX 460 is overclocked as well, always has been stable as well, with temperatures plenty low enough.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy problem usually comes when I put my computer to sleep, and then wake it up. Instead of just jumping right to the desktop screen, it now goes back to the motherboard screen and does a resuming windows operation that takes 5x as long as it used to.
Sometimes this problem causes the computer to simply restart and get a BSOD, when I am in the process of resuming windows.
EDIT: I believe I have actually gotten 2 separate BlueScreen reports during this... d1 1033, and 1e 1033.
