I got an ASUS N50Vn aka X5AV series..
On the top of the keyboard I got a "touch panel" where I can control the volume, change the computers performance and so on.
But after installing Windows 7 it doesn't work.
Anybody knows what to do? Maybe a special driver I need?
I'm using the Lenovo multi touch driver for my X61T. With Windows 7 build 7000 the same driver when I wake my laptop from sleep the touch screen works. Starting with build 704x (i can't remember the exact build but it was the first leaked x64 build) when I wake the machine from sleep the touch screen doesn't work (both pen and finger touch)
I have tried to change USB settings but I haven't seen any fix. A restart of the machine means the tablet works again. Any ideas about a patch until Lenovo makes new drivers for Windows 7?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a IV880-10 (viewed in CD) AsRock motherboard, "Intel core 2 cpu" , 4coredual-VSTA.
When I had winXP, the front audio panel works perfectly but now with 7057 they won't work. I had installed the last audio codecs from realtek but the motherboard drivers (from CD) are incompatible and they don't let me install it on the 7057.
I tried to install them with the compatibility mode (Vista and XP) , but after the restart Windows 7 was damaged and started a "restore system".
So... frontal audio don't are my life, but i like them because they are very confortable to connect my speakers to mp3, ipod, and nother devices.
I'm a little newbie about this, so please can anyone tell me what have I to do to make my frontal audio panel works?
Do I need to download the 4coredual-VSTA drivers from asrock.com ? (bios?, audio?, hdd?)
Or simply is the 7057 that in this moment doesn't support my motherboard front panels?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've installed ASUS Wi-Fi USB adapter (model USB-N13) for LAN. There is Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Through control panel I see that adapter works normally and the drivers are the latest. However my PC doesn't see the adapter - the ASUS utility notices me "ASUS Wireless LAN card is taken apart from your desktop PC".I have the same Wi-Fi adapter at another my PC with Windows 7 Home Basic, and everything works nice. Of course I changed these adapters between my computers. Conclusion is both adapters are working good. The same models, the same drivers. Actually I don't understand where is the mistake?

I only just transferred the usb cable and now every time i tried to back up or save a file to the Maxtor one touch 4 plus, it gave a warning window that said it couldn't perform the function because the disk was damaged or corrupted. I have also checked the drive for any errors by scanning it for any problems but nothing has come up. I just now uninstalled the driver in case I could reinstall it but that is not working because its not recognizing that it was uninstalled. Please help me find another software for this. I also looked online for the software and the Seagate company offers this software for free however, it is only compatible with the Mac OS X systems and not for any windows systems.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an hp media center PC m7350n and I have upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7, I also installed a new graphics card AMD Radeon HD 6450. When I was working on Windows XP my front panel audio was working for my headsets and microphone. Since I've upgraded my headsets and microphone don't work anymore. I tried many different things but didn't work. I first checked the connections inside the PC then I upgraded to the last Realtek HD driver, I looked in the bios nothing there to be done, I don't even have an option for front panel. The only option I have is onboard audio- auto/enable and disable which only works on enable. Then I looked in Realtek audio manager and the front panel connectors are greyed out or lighter than all the other connectors. When I plug in my headsets and microphone nothing happens and speakers still work. I checked mark disable back connectors when headsets are plugged in and nothing changes. The only change I have is when I check out mute microphone boost I have a squelching sound in my headsets. All the forums talk about Bios and front panel enabled and alc97 which I do not have as an option.

I have a problem with my control panel, when I go to it and like click on windows update or uninstall a program or restore files from back up or any of these programs, they don't pop up. So I am wondering what to do? And I also have a problem where I can't right click on the desktop and click screen resolution or personalize. It just pops up with "Explorere.EXE: No such interface supported" I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a HP Pavilion.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have realtek ALC898, part of gigabyte Z77 UD5h mobo, windows 7 ultimate 64bit. Rear jack speakers always work, sound always works. But after sleep, the front panel audio jack does not work, ie headphones silent.
Workaround 1) go to device manager, disable realtek high definition audio, then enable it, then front panel audio jack works properly. workaround 2) restart the computer and it works again.
I tried disabling sleep and using hibernate, since I read somewhere that hibernate is like a restart, but apparently it is not. Using hibernate, once it resumes from hibernate, front jack still doesnt work just like using sleep mode.
It sounds like resuming from sleep mode or hibernate mode, that windows 7 is failing to reinitialize some of the realtek audio drivers, at least those associated with front panel audio jack for headphones. So have to restart or disable/enable realtek high def audio in device manager. I have most recent realtek drivers, tried both from realtek, and most recent from Gigabyte, both have same issue. My windows 7 is fully up to date.
Am I right in this is just failure of 7 to reinitialize some drivers?

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate, 32 bit on ASUS K42F dual core notebook. I used it well before reinstalling. I have reinstalled windows7 ultimate and updated it. Everything is ok but bluetooth does not work. When i press fn+f2 (in ASUS notebook) to switch WAN and Blutooth, but only WAN is showing, not bluetooth pop-up. Tried to install bluetooth driver, but cannot install.

Automatic installation of High Definition Audio Device fails and it fails each time I try to unninstall the driver and let windows install it again. I tryed some UAA drivers from Vista, but after installing it behaves like I have not installed anything.
On Win XP I was running C-Media High Definition Audio driver and it worked without any problems. Now it shows "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
Also in system tools my High Definition Audio controller shows (This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. You need to restart your computer before the changes you made to this device will take effect) , but its displayed twice there and the other one works fine.
I would like to know about VMWare Player. First of all, I would like to know about the bios setup in VMWare. Now what I want to know is if the bios acts the same as the actual bios setup in my computer. And also, there is a Wake on Lan option in the VMWare player bios setup. Now does this really work and wake up other computers when they are off or in standby? That is what I really want to know from you. And I also would like to know on what kind of computer manufacturers work with my VMWare player.Does HP, Dell, Acer, Asus and all the rest of the companies work together. Like lets say that I downloaded Windows 7 and put in my VMWare player, and then I went to my system properties, what would the computer manufacturers be? Like what would it say?
