Tablet Is Refusing To Work Without Drivers
Sep 29, 2010I can't find the Windows 7 64bit drivers for my Medion MD41217 tablet anywhere and I know they exist, because people have mentioned them.Jumping mouse problem [Tablet] My tablet is refusing to work without the drivers, I've changed all the batteries and I've been into the control panel to try and adjust settings there but nothing's working.I've got the tablet to sort of work - the mouse is doing fine. The tablet won't sense the pen is near, though. The light keeps flashing rather than becoming constant.

When I have both monitor and TV connected, I lose the Windows 7 startup animation. It uses the Vista animation instead. When I have just the computer monitor alone, on VGA or HDMI, the Windows 7 animation comes back. How can I make the Windows 7 be used even if both monitor and TV are connected?

May 29, 2012I have an Asus K61-IC dual booting Windows 7 Professional x64 (default) & Fedora 16 x64. In Windows, whenever I plug in a HDMI cable to watch a movie on my LCD TV audio will only come out of laptop speakers and when I open audio properties it says HDMI audio not connected or something to that effect (at the moment, I'm not able to connect it to the TV) and it will not let me click on properties, but when I open the driver properties, it tells me everything is working fine. I cannot figure this out for s#%t.

HDMI Audio Output - How To Get It To Work
May 1, 2012I only have this problem with 7, so I know it is not a hardware related issue. I simply can not get any sound out of my graphics card (seemingly) through HDMI. I have my bios setup to play audio from it. I've followed what everyone else has done when using the search, I have zero success. It worked before using 7, so I am 100% confident that this is a 7 issue (because it still works on Ubuntu!).All drivers and software is up to date too.

Feb 12, 2012I have a HTPC setup. PC includes an ASUS MB with on-board video and audio, including options for either separated analog 7.1 audio out or HDMI out (among other output options). Current setup routes Audio and Video via HDMI to Pioneer VSX-1020 A/V receiver, and routes video from there to HDTV via another HDMI cable. OS is Win7 Ultimate x64, w/SP1.

When I play audio files, the receiver can fake the signal into all 5 channels (I don't have a sub, so the .1 is not relevant here), so there's no issue of the receiver not accessing the available speakers.
The main issue is this: When I look into the Sound Control Panel, under Playback Devices, the active/default device is ATI HDMI Output. Also listed are Speakers (not plugged in), Realtek Digital Output and Realtek Digitial Output (Optical). I do not have any analog cables plugged in, nor do I have an S/PDIF (optical/coax) connected. The HDMI works, but only gives me the option of Stereo (2ch). When I go to the Configure screen for the ATI HDMI Output, I see a list of Audio Channels, but that list ONLY contains Stereo.

Everything is ok but bluetooth does not work. When i press fn+f2 (in ASUS notebook) to switch WAN and Blutooth, but only WAN is showing, not bluetooth pop-up. Tried to install bluetooth driver, but cannot install.

Automatic installation of High Definition Audio Device fails and it fails each time I try to unninstall the driver and let windows install it again. I tryed some UAA drivers from Vista, but after installing it behaves like I have not installed anything.
On Win XP I was running C-Media High Definition Audio driver and it worked without any problems. Now it shows "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
Also in system tools my High Definition Audio controller shows (This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. You need to restart your computer before the changes you made to this device will take effect) , but its displayed twice there and the other one works fine.

Oct 11, 2012I would like to know about VMWare Player. First of all, I would like to know about the bios setup in VMWare. Now what I want to know is if the bios acts the same as the actual bios setup in my computer. And also, there is a Wake on Lan option in the VMWare player bios setup. Now does this really work and wake up other computers when they are off or in standby? That is what I really want to know from you. And I also would like to know on what kind of computer manufacturers work with my VMWare player.Does HP, Dell, Acer, Asus and all the rest of the companies work together. Like lets say that I downloaded Windows 7 and put in my VMWare player, and then I went to my system properties, what would the computer manufacturers be? Like what would it say? Well for my computer I have an Acer Aspire 5733z model notebook. Now lets say that I downloaded a driver, like a lan card adapter for a Dell Optiplex computer. Would I be able to download that driver on my VMWare Player? Because I know that VM Player is virtual, and it is not my actual computer, which is my Acer Aspire 5733z. It is just powered by VM Ware.
Now for example, my Dad at work has a Dell Inspiron mini netbook, which is a 1012 model. And he has a Dell wireless lan card in his computer at work. And I also installed Team Viewer on his netbook computer. Now like every time he goes home and leaves work, he shuts down his computer, and his Team Viewer ID number goes away. And I do not like that at all when he shuts down his computer. But lets say that their computer was off, and not turned on, and I needed to turn it on. Could I turn on their computer remotely with their mac address if I knew it? But I am assuming that I can turn on any computer if I had their mac address.And I do not have a Wake on Lan option in my actual real bios setup. So for that, I would have to enable the Wake on Lan in my VMWare player bios setup. The VMWare bios setup is by American Megatrends. So that should work. But mainly what I am saying here is that, I would like to know on how to get someone's mac address, by using an IP scanner, or a mac address scanner.
ASUS N50Vn Touch Panel Doesn't Work

May 19, 2012I've installed ASUS Wi-Fi USB adapter (model USB-N13) for LAN. There is Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Through control panel I see that adapter works normally and the drivers are the latest. However my PC doesn't see the adapter - the ASUS utility notices me "ASUS Wireless LAN card is taken apart from your desktop PC".I have the same Wi-Fi adapter at another my PC with Windows 7 Home Basic, and everything works nice. Of course I changed these adapters between my computers. Conclusion is both adapters are working good. The same models, the same drivers. Actually I don't understand where is the mistake?

Jun 29, 2012My Optiarc DVD RW AD-7203A drive refuses to recognize any sort of media I put within it. I am unsure of when this problem occured (because I rarely use the drive, which begs the question of how in the world can it stop working), but I do know that nothing I have tried has helped me.I've tried all of the following:Editing the registry to no avail because the "Lower Filters" key is not present, therefore the kb article is of no use.Uninstalling/reinstalling the drive Changing the Start key in the registry to "3" Formatting the entire machine and restoring to factory settings The thing is, whenever I enter the Device Manager to check on the drive, it keeps saying it's working perfectly/drivers are up-to-date/blah blah blah. I've tried searching everywhere but to no avail, and I may soon just take a hammer to it and be done with this crap.However, I am hoping that you mates can help me before rage takes over and I smash this thing to bits! Also, is it possible for a drive to be stuck in "burn mode" (as in it thinks it's always burning a cd/dvd)?

Wifi Button Does Not Work On Asus 1215B With Windows 7x64 Ultimate
Dec 6, 2011After installing Windows7 Ultimate x64 on a EEE PC Asus 1215B Seashell serie, the button which toggle wifi did not work anymore, like any other keyboard function keys (less importante now). When I log on I receive a message in a popup windows which says: You must install ATK0100 driver! I had installed the P4GX before noticed the problem. I've tried to install the driver downloaded from asus support site but I receive an error message in a pop-up windows, without any clue about what the problem is. Nothing is registered in Device manager, nothing is found in Registry, no file related to atk* in system32driverstorefilerepository. It's not possible remove nor reinstall, cause nothing bad remains after my failed installations. I've tried many times, with Troubleshoot Compatibility and Run as administrator (my regular user is also an admin). After executing the driver app, one command prompt appears showing the log of the installation process, and all of sudden disappear. No control about it. It's only possible to read the upper case word FAILURE before the window close. No log is found. It works when I restore the machine to Windows 7 Starter that comes from factory. I dont know how to get the drivers inside the hidden partition.

Aug 26, 2012Since about 4 months ago, my computer has crashed randomly. Every time this happens, I would try to reboot it, and it would start for between one second and five minutes before crashing again. It would continue to refuse to start like this for 10 minutes to three days at one point.It started four months ago, and occurs fairly rarely. Since the first "series" of crashes, it's only happened five or six times, with anytime between a week and a month separating the crashes.My computer has just crashed again, and as expected, is not opening right now, so I'm typing this from my tablet.if there's any specific information needed please tell me and I'd be happy to gather it once my computer decides to start up again.
Edit: More info - Windows 7, computer is about 10 months old, and I do this have a warranty on it. A curious note, the light on my wireless adapter remains on after the computer has crashes, whereas it would normally be off if I turned the computer off normally.Gives me the option of starting in safe mode, crashes there too. Usually it'll crash before the option is even offered. I've also tried plugging it into other sockets around the house, but still crashes.
Remote Desktop Refusing Connections
Oct 26, 2012I am running into a unique situation with Remote Desktop that I have never seen before. I have 3 PC's, two laptops and 1 desktop, all running Win 7 64B retail. Under normal circumstances I use the desktop as the hub of my work and remote desktop into the laptops when I need. Last night I installed a MS Update that included a driver update for my MS Wireless keyboard. After the necessary reboot of that, Remote Desktop from my desktop to any of the laptops has completely stopped working. All the PC's are connected into the same switch that is connected to the internet. I can ping back and forth from the desktop to the laptop successfully. I can Remote desktop between the two laptops successfully. However, no matter what I do I can't Remote Desktop from the desktop to anything. I have tried giving all the PC's new names, creating a different workgroup and adding them to that, creating a new Admin account on the desktop and trying that. All with no success. I have also tried disabling the firewall on both the desktop and the laptops, still no success. I would uninstall the MS update for the keyboard driver, but it isn't showing up in the list of updates that I can back out of.
