When open VCC and go to Displays/DigitalFlatPanels/LCD Overdrive, everything is grayed out. Everything else works, its just this, you can see it, but the text and borders are gray, at one point it worked for a brief period and said "cannot load test image" or something along those lines. is there any 3rd party driver I need to do this?
I just got done building a computer, and I've got my OS. But, I can't load it, because I don't have the disk? It's an ISO image, and I'm unsure of what I'm supposed to do with it! I am clueless when it comes to things like this! If anyone could give me a laymans terms guide.
I've been using my Ps3 controller as an alternative to an Xbox 360 controller on my PC (to play games with a gamepad) but in order to use my Ps3 controller as a makeshift 360 controller, I need test signing enabled.
Unfortunately with test signing enabled I get a big ugly watermark at the bottom right of my screen, as far as I know the only way to disable this is to disable test signing, otherwise it just won't leave! Is there any way I can get past this and somehow keep driver test signing enabled but get rid of that horrid watermark ruining my gorgeous wallpaper?
I recently purchased a new hard drive, and to this point have been utilizing Macrium only for backup images.
What I'm trying to do is copy a working image of my old hard drive including the OS Xp, to the new hard drive, but the pc won't boot with the copy installed on the new hard drive!
I have my present hard drive backed up using Windows Backup on an external hard drive. I want to replace the 500gb hard drive in my desktop with a 1tb hard drive, I am assuming (i know bad word) after the transfer is complete the new hard drive will be recognized and function on boot as the 500gb drive did.
I have a laptop with Intel core i5 processor(x64). I use Windows 7 Home Premium. Lately, I am having a difficulty in loading image or any file in the Windows Live Movie Maker. I wanted to create a video file by compiling all of my images and some music but each time I open the program and try to load the files the program doesn't respond at all and ultimately I have to close the program.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit The windows system image backed up on my external hard drive (2TB WD USB3) is not showing while restoring the PC from an image.
The only option available is my hard drive partition on which i also had saved a system image. Though windows recommends External hard drive for backing up image when backing up the system.
I dont know if this is posted in the right area but I'm so desperate to get my laptop working its unreal. First it started off with my laptop crashing, I had totally forgot it needed to do a windows update and turned off my laptop in hopes that it would work properly. After that my laptop has not been working. The machine turns on and gives me two options. Start windows normally or do a repair. Upon starting windows normally, it loads so far before sending me back to the two options of start windows normally or repair. On the second time I clicked repair. My laptop then goes so far before presenting me with a blue screen that is usually the screen where my accounts are. The cursor still moves but it loads no further even after leaving it an hour. I decided to make a repair disk, hoping that the problem was because of windows. the disk loads, gives me a choice on the keyboard language then does nothing. I honestly have no idea what to do, I want to keep all the files safe on my computer as I havent backed them up and I have worked so hard on the projects.
Im having a couple problems with my computer, firstly when i boot up The icon for the LAN onnection has a red cross to say its not connected even though it is and it will recognise that it is after approx. 5 minutes and will only say network instead of the actual name if my connection (network99) secondly when i log on from booting up the desktop take a while to load and all the icon thumbnails load slowly one at a time and its really slow.
I need a little help figuring this out. I made a backup image a while back on my network. Now that I want to re-image, I reboot as requested, wait for it to load, and Windows says it can't find my backup, "if it is on a network, close this window , type the network location."Putting in the network location does nothing, I'm just returned to the screen where it would list the backup image if it had found it, but there's nothing there.Thinking perhaps my NAS was the problem I copied the image onto a portable hard drive, but after rebooting into the restore program, Windows 7 doesn't find the USB drive.
With either of these two Products, if I create an Image will the Image "include" everything on the Partition? What I'm asking is, in the event I "delete" something from a Partition, and presuming the "deleted" item is not overwritten, will the "deleted" item be part of an Image created AND restorable by Windows or Acronis?
Basically this is a new system, however it does not come with a modem - the modem is required because they use dial-up. So my customer purchased one of his own, ever since the laptop has been experiencing a 0xA bsod. When the usb jack is not plugged in we still experience the bsod. The jack is a Zoom 56K Modem Series 1063 - we installed the 64bit drivers seeing as we have a 64bit OS here.I debugged the dump files myself and received two process names:
win32k.sys ntkrnlmp.exe
Specs: - Windows 7 Pro x64 - This is the original Acer installation of Windows - OEM - What is the age of system (hardware)? System was purchased on Feb. 1st 2012 - Age of installation is fresh - barely even a month old
when i start tdu, crash me to de desktop, and only crash me when i connect my steering wheel (genius speed wheel 3mt) or my joystick, there are any solutions for this problem ?
The only thing that failed is "Re-allocated sector count: results are value 138, threshold 140, worst 138.I have noticed my laptop heating up more than normal for a couple of weeks. Is this bad news?
I am on the tail end of building my system. It has been quite and experience so far. After an already successful first build, the computer is OC at 3.9 ghz stable but then I felt the urge to upgrade my sole 1TB hard drive ( 32 MB Cache /3 mbs ) into a RAID 0 configuration, using 2 brand new WD 1TB hard drive, 64 MB Cache / 6 mbs, which my Asus supports. I am assuming that this will seriously improve speed and performance.trying to figure out the RAID setup in BIOS and a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit, I finally got it to work. The computer is now operational. But there is only concern I have...
I can't tell any MAJOR improvement ! A slight improvement in speed when I change windows and programs is notice. In addition, the transfer rate when I moved files to the new RAID was quicker at around 88 MBS. Why I am concern is because my Windows system assessment's score for hard disk transfer rate is only at 5.9, which is low and the same as before. Everything else is at 7.5 or higher. Also, I was hoping the load times of my files ( the thumbnail previews ) would increase in speed, but appears to be the same. I am somewhat certain that my RAID setup in BIOS was done correctly. The system is seeing one drive with a 2 TB capacity. I use my computer to do a lot of hd video editing.
1- Is there a way or to test, monitor, or tweak my RAID 0 setup for optimum performance?
2- Am I actually getting the best out of RAID 0 and my expectations were just too high?
3- Are there specifically " one " type of RAID 0 setup? ( I just want to eliminate the possibility of setting up RAID 0 incorrectly in BIOS ).

I am trying to diagnose a problem with my machine, and in so doing I have run memtest overnight (to test all 8GB of RAM--which takes about 12 hours). However, I've read various places that memtest is only reliable testing one stick at a time (I have 4x2GB). I didn't get any errors in 7 passes with all memory in. Does this mean that I'm fine, or should I go back and test each individually?
I can't get CS4 web premium to install on my desktop. I've contacted adobe, and they have "helped" me several times, each trying the same thing and then moving me up to the next levelWindows 7, but I don't want to lose the one I currently have. Especially if I still can't install CS4. I have an extra hard drive that I could use. If I install windows 7 on this extra hard drive, can I do so without validating it? I just don't want to validate it and find out that my current installation won't work any more.
im trying to reinstall windows from my recovery discs and am getting media test failre check cable message. am I missing a set? i cant seem to find reinstall directions anywhere
Yes i know Windows 7 has a system memory test and it works very well ... but i came across this test at Microsoft and i must say I'm impressed !, just download the and save to disk (ISO) burn to disk and boot your system from it. The Windows Memory Diagnostic Test is very complete one pass takes a few minuets and extended can run over night, i think i will be using on a few Windows based Computers, there is also a Windows Memory Diagnostic Users Guide at the site
When I started my toshiba laptop this morning, it started up normally, but then it shut down. When I tried to start it up, the screen was blank, but the power light was on. After about an hour, it just shut down. I tried to start it again, and it worked fine. I then ran a diagnostic test and it said "HARDDISK DRIVE TEST FAIL" What can I do to fix this?
I Installed 185.81 geforce driver and I have B7100. I can not set up custom resolution 1360*768 for my LCD Tv. I see always "custom mode test failed" error.I tried different drivers but the result is still same. I can set up at XP with same driver and setting 1360*768 custom resolution but at W7 I can not.
