Setting Up Mail Error Found

I've had an account that has worked for a while now, but now when I try to email pictures or anything, I get a message that says no profile has been created... so I treid recreating my profile, and whenI get to the whole pop3 server thing, I get a message that says "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'md38.embarq.synacor.com (1)', Server: 'md38.embarq.synacor.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F" can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? So i have a Vista and have i've been trying for hours to set up Outlook-Windows Mail and i keep getting this msg. tell me what i'm doing wrong, i'm not very computer smart when it comes to this kind of stuff. I'm not sure if I have something is blocked or I don't have something or something. But say If I get an email with a link to some site and I click on it , I get an error "Application not found" ... my internet explorer works fine... not sure what's wrong

I am unable to send messages from Windows mail. I get an error message:

I am sure that at one point I started setting up Windows Mail but never completed it, but at this point I am at a loss.

I have 2 PC, one with Vista Home Basic, and one with XP pro. I use a VPN connection to log into a win 2003 server on work. Everything works ok with the XP pro PC. I use a bat file to map a path on the server, but on the Vista PC I get error 53 (path not found) and it is impossible to map the path. I can ping the server by IP from both PC's.

Trying to install a program here. It included a DirectX 9 install which I canceled. Running Vista64 Ultimate here. The program dies on start with an error - d3dx9.dll is not found. The developers website says it needs DX9 and that users of DX10 / Vista need not worry as both 9 and 10 sit side by side in the same install. Can anyone confirm this is correct. I'd prefer to NOT mess with my DX10 configuration.

I have been getting bluescreen previously and did a test using MEMTEST86+ and found error. So I sent my Laptop to HP Center and they checked the RAM and found that there is no problem with the RAM and Harddisk. So they replaced the motherboard, after that I reformatted my laptop and reinstalled Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 with all latest updates and I checked using MEMTEST86+ again (boot version) and no error found.
Its the third day reinstalled my OS with latest driver and bios, now I am still getting bluescreen. Even the technician at the HP center blamed my Windows previously but I already reformatted my laptop. Why am I still getting bluescreen?
Here I attached all my minidump! It contains 3 minidump. Please help me, I am working everyday and I do not have time to send it over to HP center for checking. I am only free at night where HP center is closed already. I know I can trust the help from this forum.

I have a new WD external hard drive that I'm trying use with Vista Ultimate, but when I connect the drive I get an error message saying,
"Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. USB Mass Storage Device Access is denied" I found a KB article which seems to be related, but even after acquiring and installing the hotfix I still can't get the drive to install. KB Article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937187 How can I fix this? It's very frustrating a bit ridiculous that installing a simple mass storage device fails.

I cannot send mail using identical account settings on my new laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium, the so called new "Windows Mail" and I.E. 7.0. I get a message saying that my smtp server cannot be found, error message follows:

I have been trying to set up windows mail but i have no idea what im doing and it asks for some pop3 something or another...my usesrname/password, everything i type in is wrong. it asks me for the address for my pop3 watchamajiggy...what is all this? it tells me to ask my isp provider for this information but how do i do that? can somebody talk to me in english and not computer?
