So i have a Vista and have i've been trying for hours to set up Outlook-Windows Mail and i keep getting this msg. tell me what i'm doing wrong, i'm not very computer smart when it comes to this kind of stuff. The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. I am unable to send messages from Windows mail. I get an error message:

I am sure that at one point I started setting up Windows Mail but never completed it, but at this point I am at a loss.

I'm trying to set up an account but when it gets to the POP3 & SMTP I'm not quite sure what to enter there. It's very hard for me to send out attachments or just general mail unless I have it. I'm using Windows Vista and I do have an hotmail email account. You can respond back to that email which is mz_nette2fine4u@hotmail.com I'll check it periodically to see if anyone has responded back to me.

I have 2 computers, one has Outook (xp) and one has Windows mail (vista) both set up for the same email address. When I receive an email on Windows and open it, it doesn't appear on the Outlook computer. Anything received on Outlook always comes through on Windows.
How can I get my email to always appear on both computers?
Also, the Windows Vista computer will only receive email, I get an error message when I try to send:
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. I've had an account that has worked for a while now, but now when I try to email pictures or anything, I get a message that says no profile has been created... so I treid recreating my profile, and whenI get to the whole pop3 server thing, I get a message that says "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. I am getting error 0x800CCC78 when trying to send via SMTP Port 587, I am within the firewall, so this is definitely a problem with the Windows Mail program. Outlook Express works on this port. The server is Exchange 2007.

I have been trying to set up windows mail but i have no idea what im doing and it asks for some pop3 something or another...my usesrname/password, everything i type in is wrong. it asks me for the address for my pop3 watchamajiggy...what is all this? it tells me to ask my isp provider for this information but how do i do that? can somebody talk to me in english and not computer?

I am having major issues sending email. I am receiving messages, but cannot send anything out. Does anyone have an answer for this. I called Microsoft and they said it was a HP issue.
