Recipient Cannot Reply To My Emails
Feb 19, 2010I have had several customers tell me they cannot reply to my emails and they
have to open a new email to communicate with me. This is a huge concern! Any
ideas out there?

Whenever I send out an email with a picture or any kind of attachment including word documents through Windows mail, it says the email was sent, but it isn't being recieved by the recipient. Then I get a Norton symantec pop up saying this problem does not occur often, their support team have not been able to reproduce the error, and it also says that the error message is actually caused by a problem on the cpu itself. When I clicked the "run it now" button to run a Symantec administrative tool it states that I must be logged into an administrative account to complete this action, but I am! The only info it gave was this: Module 1003, Error ID 9, Build Symantec. I have Norton Antivirus 2007 and I ran a full scan and I don't have a virus. I'm about to throw this cpu out the friggin' window! Is there anyone out there who knows why it's doing this? My last resort is to bring it in to the geek squad to see if they can fix it.

But it only occurs intermittently (at times using the reply tool does work) and has happened from 3 or 4 colleagues who work in different organisations.

I have a folder of all my customers payments from Paypal I wish to email them all to inform I have moved to a new website currently I am clicking each and replying and pasting in my message. View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to reply, reply all or forward an email either in preview or from an open email nothing happens. Message at the top (Not responding). It seems like the program freezes or there is a very long delay for the reply or forwarded email to appear. If and when it does appear, the email is blank with no text, it is still waiting for the info to load whether there is an attachment or not. When I try to x out, a new window opens giving me the option to restart the program, close or wait for windows mail to respond.

I was told previously in this forum that this would happen after I entered the addressee's name three times. I've done that many times over and still no auto recognition.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAlthough I see the mapimail link in the SendTo folder, it no longer shows up when I right-click an item.
I created a guest account: in that account, it is still functioning.
I tried to copy the mapimail link of the guest account and paste it in the main account (just in case it was corrupted): nothing!
The possible cause being that I changed the default association of the .mapimail files from "unknown application" to Thunderbird, I tried to restore it to "unknown application", but nothing happened.
I tried some other solutions from other threads as well as from other sites, but I didn't get to a solution.
Vista Home Premium, SP1
I am using Vista and Windows Mail. When I try and attach a word or excel document (from 2007 suite) it does attach to the email, but the recipient does not receive the attachments. I have sent myself test emails and indeed an email arrives with no attachments (and yes...all the docs are closed in word or excel). I have sent as .docx and also as .doc and neither arrive..the only way they do go is if I zip them first in a folder and then send them.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am unable to attach a photo to e-mail from Windows Explorer in Vista. I use MS Outlook as my default mail. For example, with a photo, I right-click, select "Send to....Email Recipient", select size, slect "Attach", it goes through "attaching"
the files but then nothing happens. A mail window does not open. I have set all my defaults to Outlook yet still nothing happens and not quite sure what to do.
I now have vista and on my old computer with earthlink software I was able to have a recipient added to my address book when sending mail. I have searched windows mail and cannot find where to give this command. Consequently people responding to an email from me have to go through the spamblocker and are not in the address book unless I put them in separately.

I am unable to choose a recipient from Outlook 2007 Contacts correctly to use in Windows Fax & Scan. When I click on the To: Button in Windows Fax & Scan I only get three columns shown. Name, Display Name and E-mail Address. If the intended recipient does not have an email adress their name does not appear. What am I setting up incorrectly. I can not see an option in Windows Fax & Scan. Is it a Outlook setting.

When sending emails on Windows Mail the full email address and name of the receiver are displayed on the header. The old system i used had a "display as" option and all that it showed was the persons name or nickname. I usually send mail using the BCC option to hide identities so i know that its not a big deal but its driving me mad. I know that there must be a way of changing it to just show a name.

messages, and the second account, which uses a different ISP for the outbound messages. Both accounts have the same details for their inbound. I have managed to set the default account to the office one, which when creating new messages works fine. The problem starts on the Reply to a message...this always defaults to the second account. All I can see that may be doing this is that in the list of accounts, the second account was created first, even though it is not set at the
default. I don't want to delete the account and then recreate it, making it the
second on the list, as when the laptops are taken out of the office then the other email account will be set as the default one.
Had set up an out of office message in Windows Mail by means of Message Rules. Currently, there are no Rules anymore visible to remove, though the auto reply messages are continuing. Would be grateful for avise how to disable auto reply.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI tried going to 64bit a little over a week ago, and it was unstable, crashing and all kinds of things. So I went back to 32bit on Sunday evening. The problem I'm having is that half the time my websites will load. Like when I click on Firefox, it's waiting on a reply in the bottom left corner and doesn't do anything. Nothing happens at all. Same with IE7. What I don't get is why, when I rebooted my computer just now, it popped right up no problem, but most of the time it stops in mid process like it forgot where it was going. I know my system is caching and all that again, but the net is still not working correctly. I've released and renewed ip, I've uninstalled and reinstalled and all kinds of things, but it's still doing it more often than not.

I created a signature in windows mail and it is inserted in every mail and reply at the bottom of the mail. However, I always reply on top of a message so that the person who receives my reply doesn't need to scroll down to read the (latest) reply. Now, I have to move the signature from the bottom to the end of my reply, above the original message I received. Is there any way to insert the signature on top of a reply instead of at the bottom?
