I have used aapt as my Service Provider for a few months. I was using Outlook to send and receive mails. Everything was working as expected. Then one day outlook stopped sending emails but it could receive emails. I contacted aapt and they told me they didn't support outlook only express and there was nothing they could do. So I changed from outlook to Windows mail. I completed the set up which was identical to outlook and again I received the same problem and error message.....

Windows mail is not downloading from my pop3 account, when I first set it up it worked fine, now the emails are no longer being received, I've checked my email from the website itself so I know I have email to be downloaded. I do not get any error messages. When trying to send an email I get this error.....
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

My PC is running on Windows Vista SP1 and I am using Windows Mail as my mailclient. Two of my colleagues have recently started using Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 respectively as their mail client (both of them running on an Windows XP SP3 PC). It happened several times already that I was only able to receive the text of their email messages, but not any attachments at all. Their attachments are Word documents and PDF files. It has never happened before when my colleagues were using OE6 as their default mail client
When clicking send/recieve i get the emails downloaded off the BTINTERNET POP3 server but to send them it asks for username and password. I type them in but all it does is repeatedl ask for them again and again. I have changed the outgoing STMP to another value provided but still get the same problem. All the settings are as told they should be by the guides given

Well after several years of using port 25 for Comcast email my laptop suddenly stopped sending out mail. After a little tinkering I realized that if I used port 587 for outgoing mail all is well.
My question is why did this occur on just my laptop and not my PC? They both are on the same router and I'm pretty diligent with keeping Windows updated, spyware sweeps, virus definitions, etc. What controls this process of disabling port 25 for outgoing mail? I would doubt if Comcast could even see or reach my laptop. You'd think that such a change would be widespread or at the least force me to use port 587 on both of my computers. I should point out that one pc uses Vista while the other is running XP.
my windows mail stopped sending messages a few days ago. still recieves. tried to delete and add account again but still won't work. same account works on my laptop. both have vista.
I can receive messages, but none would sent. It was working fine for months, but after I moved to a new location I can send with the Windows Mail. I have 5 ssages in the Outbox and every tiem I send this erros msg. shows up: Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
I have been using Windows mail fine for months, but starting yesterday it is not letting any outgoing message go out. I at first thought it was just a Comcast issue, but the other account i have with a totally seperate provider is not sending either. Here are the error messages:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: [brentwoodcamera] Warner Park Hike...', Account: 'mail.comast.net', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: Your new mailing address', Account: 'mail.digitalstars.net', Server: 'mail.digitalstars.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I have just started having problems sending emails, I am receiving my emails with no problems. I have even added the windows mail to be allowed through the firewall. I don't know if there was a windows update that has caused the problem since I have not had problems like this before. A window pops up stating....your server has unexpectedly terminated the connections. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or longer periods of inactivity. Error number 0x800CCCoF. My internet provides say there is no problem on their end and that it must be a firewall problem.
How can I copy emails from Windows mail (Vista) to Outlook (XP HE) & vice versa? I need to do this to synchronise mail folders between my laptop & desktop PCs.
My Vista machine crashed and I had to reinstall Vista. I was able to create an old windows version which is stored on my root drive. I need my emails from Outlook 07 that where on the old Vista. They are not on my mail server.
I have tried everything from disabling the OneNote add-in and then restarting computer and trying to reenable (which it does), but it continually crashes Outlook and makes me disable OneNote again in order to use Outlook.
The only thing I did prior, was last week I made my Outlook Calender available to (subscribing it) to a family member, via Microsoft Live.
I am using Vista, and Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007
I don't have any idea how to make the OneNote button on the quick access toolbar ribbon on top work again. One time it had an error of H_key something, but I did not get it all.
My e mail account (blueyonder) has been working OK since I bought computer with Windows Vista in January. In past week I have stopped receiving e mails, although I can access them at my e mail providers website.
I just bought a new PC with Vista and see that microsoft mail appears instead of outlook express. I have my old hard drive also connected to the new PC so imagine all old emails are there somewhere, but how can I access them?
I can receive but cannot send emails using outlook express. The following error box appears Account: 'pop.freeuknet', Server: 'relay.freeuk.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E I have tried ticking and unticking the outgoing server requires authorisation box
I have a vista computer that has it's own email. My provider is MSN and I bought an email service. I have directions from all three on how to set up pop3 on outlook. None of them will complete without errors and I can't send or receive emails in outlook. I realize I have to have correct user and passwords and those I have. There are different incoming and outgoing directions for all three.
When trying to send my POP3 email from Outlook 2007 from hotels using my new laptop running Vista Ultimate and Office 2007, I always get errors sending messages, and have to get the outgoing mail server info from the hotel. I never had to do this when I was using XP Pro and Office 2003. Is there a setting that can be changed so I do not have to go through this all the time?
