Oct 30, 2009Im looking for the audio driver for the sound for the gateway gt5628 and vista ultimate. I checked the gateway site and it seemed all drivers were 32 bit.

Sep 3, 20091024MB XFX ATI HD4890 GDDR5, 4800 series that my graphic card. When i start up my pc, it runs fine and after about 30-60 mins, it suddenly goes black o some other colors. And restarting and shows this error-display-driver-has-stopped-working-has-recovered-successfully. But the weird thing is that, then it wont happen again, until i shut down my pc for alot of hours and when i start it up again it happen again, but its only once everytime i start it up. start it up, boom, restarting and after that it never happen again.

Sep 1, 2009I just have a Vista 64 bit home premium that I got 3 weeks back. Lately it has been having problems. One thing was that the computer would randomly have BSODs with the error of 0x07e (I think, then again it might be part of the error number, not sure) In addition, I tried having the computer fix the errors by itself and it couldnt, later on I found that the security processor loading driver was not working. I tried to restart Vista with the installation disc, but what happened was that a BCD error came out with the numbers 0xc000014c.

Jun 16, 2009I'm running legit copies of Halo 2 and Assassin's Creed, and they tend to crash my display driver/video card at any random old time. Usually around 5 minutes in. Less for AC. I know it's the display driver or video card or whatever because the game freezes with red squiggly lines all over the place, then the monitor says no input detected. The computer, however, is still running. I have Vista Ultimate 32bit, and an EVGA 8800GT. I can post more info if necessary. All my drivers are up to date and I disabled my onboard graphics in my bios so that only PCIE is outputting.

Nov 18, 2009I was running a 8800GT 512mb, and I had loads of problems with it. So I got a nice new ATI 4870 1GB, wacked it in and now have driver issues up the arse. I formatted my hard drive made it nice and clean, reinstalled the driver played a game for a bit then....... the display driver stopped working! Im sure I have fitted it correctly with the right power suplier
The driver version is 8.671.0.0 [reading that from the device manager properties]
Maybe im missing some sort of driver or something. So right now and about to throw this out the ****ing window and buy a nice easy consol for 1/3 of the ****ing price and no ****ing hastle.
Bluetooth And Audio Not Working
Apr 2, 2008I have a problem with my Bluetooth Headphones and Vista. I would like to use my Nokia BH-501 (Bluetooth) as a wireless headset for Skype, MSN or any other voice programs available. Generally, I do not have problem paring headset with the computer. I can easily establish connection between computer and device but that is all. Computer under Bluetooth settings recognize device and installation is done. I use Realtek HD Audio with latest driver. Once device is paired with computer, I do not know how to make it work. If I log on MSN, Skype, etc. under sound preference my headset is not on the list so I can’t select it. Also in Realtek HD Audio Manager there is no option to add new device.

May 9, 2009My notebook recommended me to download the latest driver of NVIDIA. I had to go the following site: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers. So I went to the wedsite and I downloaded a new driver. After I installed it, I had to restart my notebook. So I did it. But when I was at my frontpage, the error following error appeared: Notification Tool for the RealTek Audio Chip is stop working again. We're looking for a solution. Realtech HD Audio Manager Not Working With Front Jacks
Mar 13, 2009It shows my front jacks. But when I plug in my headset nothing pops up, and I can't manually click the jack. Having to pull out my entire computer every time I want to plug in my headset it really really annoying, which is the whole reason I got jacks on the front of my computer.now they don't work?

Oct 7, 2009Ever since I did a Windows update back in July, my video card has been acting up. While I'm using the computer the image on the screen starts breaking up, then I get a black screen. I have to force the computer for a shut down. After so many re starts I get a message saying "Display Driver Stopped working and has recovered.
I can use the computer for a little while, and then I get the same problem again. I took my computer to fix when I started experiencing this problem. All they did was clean the fan they said the video cards was good. I have a Toshiba Satellite P105-S9339 bought in June 2007. Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 4 GB Ram 32 bit Internet Explorer 7. I know a few people here had the same problem. Did someone found the fix for it?

Jun 9, 2009I was the proud owner of a Dell Precision M4400 with Vista Business 32bit edition. I still have it, but im diffently not proud of it anymore. Many times during the day i get frequent errors popping up on my screen:
"Windows audio has stopped working"
"Windows evnet log has stopped working"
"DHCP client has stopped working"
"Security Center has stopped working"
They appear most of the times when im working with Windows Live Messenger and Itunes.I kinda have a feeling it has something to do with windows defender, since i've reinstalled my computer 3 times now and after I get the latest Defender updates the problems start to happen. But im no pro so is just a wind guess
Audio Red Cross - Conexant HD Audio

Im trying to help a friend fix their sound on their HP Compaq Presario F500 (2EA)Laptop. They have the annoying red cross over the audio icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen (No Volume Mixer).
I have tried numerous things like:-
- Completely uninstalled the (Conexant High Definition) drivers in device manager, restarted and let Vista install them again.
- Downloaded latest drivers from RealTek,, and also HP
- Unfortunately their are no system restore points before the problem happened.
I have a sneaking suspision that either Windows Update installed something that is clashing with this problem or I herd that Itunes may have somethign to do with it (Which was installed near the time).

Old Scanner - No Vista Driver
Apr 18, 2008Had to upgrade to a new PC, and most every new PC comes with Vista pre-installed, no options for XP. I try hooking up my 2 year old scanner - no Vista driver. I try hooking up a webcam a friend gave me - no Vista driver. So the whole purpose of upgrading to Vista was so I could go out and buy all new hardware!! This will be my last PC with a microsoft OS.

Aug 12, 2008I wanted to remove my NVIDIA old drivers(175.19) and replace it with 177.79. Used DriverSweeper 1.5.5, and this lovely program caused me nothing but headaches. Anyways, after this I installed 177.79(I think I was supposed to reboot, yes?) Now I can't even install any video driver(except for what Vista did automatically, but they are not the newest ones). Mar 23, 2008I'm very illiterate when it comes to computers. I got a Gateway laptop with Windows Vista included. The first time I started playing with it, games and such, I had sound but I stupidly put in the CD that came with the computer that apparently is only for reinstalling. Now I have no sound. I went to the Gateway download site and downloaded a driver that said it was compatible to my computer but it doesn't work. The little speaker at the bottom right shows a red X but my control panel area shows that it is working properly.

Mar 30, 2008I recently purchased a HP C4180 All-in-One printer for use on my Vista home Premium 32-bits laptop. But I don't succeed in installing the printer. Everytime that I have to plug in the USB-cable, Vista recognizes the printer model, but doesn't find the drivers. I've already concacted the HP customer center, and many people tried to help me, but without succes. At last, I tried to install the printer on our XP-computer, and this worked very well, without problems.
I have to say that these drivers were installed with the XP-installation disk of HP. The other cd that came with my printer was a vista-drivers cd. At last, one of the people who helped me, said it could be a problem with the USB-cable. The length was alright (1.80 meters), and it worked on XP, but they said that Vista is more sensitive for different cables... I use this cable for my Maxtor hard drive too, on this laptop, without any problem caused by Vista.
