Windows Mail - Clear Delete
Jan 15, 2010I used to be able to right click on the Windows mail "deleted Items" folder and obtain options such as "clear folder" This is no longer working. What can I do to restore this feature.

Pdf Attachments, Move Or Delete The Mail Windows Mail Hangs
May 14, 2010For the last couple of weeks when I receive mail with attached pdf files, if I try to move or delete the mail Windows Mail hangs. Sometime it recovers but otherwise I need to kill it. I can open the attachment by clicking on the paper clip etc and everything seems fine so I don't think it's a security thing.

May 18, 2008Has anyone had problems with Windows Mail not working at all? It opens up and shows all my new and saved emails. After awhile I can no longer delete any emails. After yet another while, the entire thing goes blank and I can no longer see any of the emails much less send or receive any. I have contacted Dell three times and had them do remote troubleshooting, but it is still not functioning.

Mar 28, 2008I'm using Windows Mail for my emails. When I exit the program, all the messages in the Delete Folder are permanently deleted. Under earlier versions you had the option of keeping messages in the delete folder when existing. I can't find that option in the current version of Windows Mail.

I'm looking for a way to clear that list, but first I need to know what it's called.
So far I know it's not considered a "Form" because Clear Form Data doesn't remove it. It's also not "Inline AutoComplete" because I've got that turned off. It's also not "Search from the Address Bar" because I've turned that off as well.

In Windows XP, I used to manually clear Cookies, Temp files and Internet Temp files from the Local Settings (after enabling the file extension views from Tools > Properties > View tab). How can I do this in Windows Vista Ultimate ? I found only Temp folder under Local in the Explorer but not the Cookies folder and Internet Temp folder.

Vista Show Text More Clear As Xp
Jun 29, 2008Is there anyway that I could make Vista show text more clear as my XP? I have 22" viewsonic and no problems at all with XP in terms of text clarity/sharpness. Monitor runs at native resolution and I have also tried to change clear type to on/off. Am I the only one having hard time reading a text on Vista after upgrading from XP?

Can The Sent Mail Be Retrieved, Delete All Sent Mail?
Mar 23, 2008All "Sent" mail seems to have disappeared as of March 17. where the Sent folder is located to determine what may have happened. I had kept all Sent emails from January 7, and today only emails from March 17 are visible in the Vista Mail.
I do have access to my Sent mail via my IMAP account, but there seems to be a glitch in the Vista Mail program:
or did I do something to delete all my sent mail? I do not recall deleting these emails, and I would not consciously have done so as I use Sent mail for reference? Can the Sent Mail be retrieved?

Apr 12, 2008Suddenly my deleted items on e-mail will not empty. It wont empty on closing, it wont empty if I click on empty deleted folder, and it wont empty by using select all and delete. It worked fine until about a week ago and now it is full to bursting and I cant even get it to delete one at a time. (It gives me an error message : "an unknown error was encountered")
