Im having problems signing into websites such as eBay and Hotmail and i can't signin to MSN Messenger. I've already deleted temporary internet files and installed internet explorer 7 and mozilla firefox and nothing works
View 1 RepliesI have to sign in each time, several times a day, even though the "sign on auto" is checked. I never log off. No help from hotmail just the obvious, do the above. Would appreciate a solution. Use XP Pro.

Perhaps someone here has a clue:This is a new problem over about the last 2 months (not a problem before):On Windows XP, Internet Explorer 7 (though happened also with Internet Explorer 6 before I upgraded):Every time I open Hotmail via Internet Explorer, I sign in with username and password, it comes up that username and/or password is incorrect (even though it IS correct). I then sign on a second time, and log in successfully.If I clear all cookies and Temp internet files, I can sign on the first time I try after that, but if I then close Internet Explorer and reopen & try again, or open a second Internet explorer window without closing the first, the problem reappears.
View 8 Replies View RelatedUntil recently there were a large number of Windows operating systems for sale on ebay. Particularly Win XP Pro OEM versions at reasonable prices. I purchased one several months ago, and it came in a sealed package, with COA and that beautiful CD. I finally got around to installing it on a new build, activated like a champ. But when I went to download some security updates it went berserk...THIS IS COUNTERFEIT, blah, blah. So I mailed it off to MS WGA. Now there are very few OSs listed on ebay. Could someone fill me in on what happened, and did MS make good on their offer to replace the fraudulent system with a good one? Also, how come it activated if it was counterfeit?

I went onto Crucial Technology's website, and it said I needed a:512MB, 200-pin SODIMM, DDR PC3200 memory module, Can someone direct me to what would be compatible on eBay or Newegg.com because i have no idea of what I should buy. Would any 200-pin memory card work? And do I really need to spend the extra money on a 1 GB, or will a 512 be good?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with the Folders list showing only for a brief moment on the left side of the Hotmail list of incoming emails in the new Hotmail version. When the Inbox and Junk links do show, momentarily, they are shown as double images printed over the existing words "Related Places, Today, Contact List, and Calender" since they changed to the new Hotmail version last week, which makes it impossible to open the Inbox and Junk links.

So I tried using Outlook at home and put my two hotmail accounts into it and everytime I try to use it, it freezes. I have two hotmail accounts, one for business and one for just goofy stuff. I even have the original Windows XP license key number printed on a label on the side of my computer.the one thing that I do not have is the Windows XP installation disk.What is the best way to resolve this?I have seen XP disks for sale on ebay craigslist. Can I purchase one of those and install it on my old computer? If I do that should I get a new license key from them or do I use my old one.

I used my add & remove program to uninstall the program but not all of it got uninstalled. I deleted the folder and then did a search in my registry for anything with refernce to the programs name "Ebay's Blackthorne" and deleted all entries with that name.Every time I reboot windows tries to install something for Blackthorne and I have to keep cancelling it out.

I solved that problem before by removing the computer from server, joining a workgroup, then rejoining the domain. Only problem is that this time, when I joined a workgroup, I forgot the password to sign on locally, and Last Known Good Configuration won't help in this case. Is there anyway to sign on to the local machine? Even if I'd have to create another account, that's fine. Or is there a way to get the computer to give me the option to log on to a domain? Maybe I should have named this thread "Cannot Log On To XP"
