I recently have lost my quick launch feature on the task bar. Also when right clicking on the task bar my toolbar option is no longer available. Trying to retrace what I could have done lately but only remember playing with UI themes.
View 5 RepliesMy quick launch toolbar is showing only 3 programmes. If I want to see more programmes of quick lauch bar. I have to click the small arrow on quick launch bar( see the first and second attachements with my post). I want to know is there some way that I can see more than just 3 progeammes on this bar without clicking the arrow? Secondly can I choose which programmes to appear all the time on quick launch bar( see first attachement) and which programmes should be hidden and will only appear when I click the small arrow( see second attachement).

This put the Quick Launch toolbar on the Taskbar with the Show Desktop and Internet Explorer icons. I deleted them and now I can't duplicate this action. I can get the Internet Explorer icon back. But I can't get the Show Desktop icon back.

Someone at work deleted my Quick Launch Button which is located at the bottom of the taskbar (also called Show Desktop button).. My quick launch tab is checked so it's not that. How do I get my Quick Launch Button back? I don't know how anyone can function without that Button.. I love that button! I Right Mouse the taskbar.. go to Toolbars and yes that Quick Launch Tab is checked.. they actually removed it and deleted it..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just got another computer running XP home. I am not able to drag and drop a shortcut to the quicklaunch bar. And yes I have the bar unlocked and quicklaunch checked. I can't imagine why I don't have this function. When I drag to the quicklaunch bar I don't see the usual black line on the left of the icon.I can drag and drop on the desktop all day. Any suggestion as to what the problem might be? I have never had this problem in eight years I have had a computer.

The quicklaunch buttons, for some reason, are disproportionately large,though.I know that before they were nice and tidy (before I had to reinstall), so know that it IS possible to have something that takes less space than these do. Is there some separate setting somewhere else for quicklaunch button size that I am missing?

Now, whenever I reboot, the toolbar disappears and I have to right click on the task bar, select toolbars, and select Quick Launch. Any ideas why this may be happening or how to prevent this from being removed each time. I tried locking the taskbar, but that didn't help.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI recently had to restore a mail folder for my Thunderbird application for a deleted account.So I accidentally made my entire application data folder visible (not hidden).Since then, an application called Quick Launch appears in the Applications pane of the Task manager that I can't kill.My understanding was that it was just a toolbar folder in the Application data folder. Every time I go full screen in WMP and come out, a little Quick Launch window minimizes itself to the bottom right of the taskbar.

I right-clicked the taskbar and selected "toolbars" and "quick launch" and this brought back the quick launch icons but doubled the size of my task bar and it will not reduce to its normal size unless I remove quick launch from the toolbars menu.I then tried to drag shortcuts from the desktop to the taskbar, which is how I had originally got the quick launch icons I wanted, but they would not attach to the taskbar.I have made no recent changes of any kind.

When I went to Start > Properties > and enabled Show Quick Launch, I got it back with all my icons. After running a program called System Mechanic from Iolo technologies I discovered my computer had stopped working properly and kept telling me that files essential to the smooth running of windows had been changed. I did a system restore operation and almost everything went back to normal. The only exception is my desktop icons, and icons on the quick lanch bar. They're appearing inside white squares and not against the desktop wallpaper like they should almost as if the wallpaper has not loaded properly under the

I have finally decided to put my screen settings to 1024-768 or what ever that one is lol .. but my only problem now is the font size.. for example up top of this page where it says file,edit, view etc..is really small and same as the name thats down on my bar at the bottom of my screen where my open windows are they are really small and I want to make them bigger how do I do that? also .. my quick launch icons are super small can I make them bigger? I made the ones on my desktop bigger but can't figure out how to make the quick launch ones bigger.

Sometimes when I click my start button it freezes the whole toolbar, this doesn't make sense as I have a reasonably powerful machine (check specs) and when I check task manager my cpu usage is at 2-4% and I have less then 20 processes running taking up 200,000k or less. I once had a virus on my computer but I followed the steps, removed it and formatted my hdd then reinstalled fresh windows xp pro and now this issue has come up. Just recently (after the problem appeared) I tried going to run regedt32 Hkey_Current_usercontrol paneldesktopMenuShowDelay and lowered that to 0 in a hope of reducing freezes but I haven't seen any difference.
