I have recently upgraded from outlook express to outlook 2003.O/E used to ask me for a password for mailbox as soon as i opened the program, which is what i want from outlook 2003.but instead with outlook 2k3 i have to click on send / recieve before it asks for my password.which settings do i need to change?

I am in a bad bad situation. Whenever I go to my computer/win explorer and try to right click on any item, i get an error in Windows Explorer with the send report and dont send option buttons. Im not able to do many things due to that. and this is not a virus or something I guess because I have a good AV software and I was using my PC throughout till yesterday evening when I shifted it from 1 room to another. And thats when it happened for the first time.

They seem to have received them, at least most people, and there is nothing shown in my Outbox. HOWEVER, I CANNOT SEND ANY EMAILS. I did not format, rather I installed over the current and problematic install. I've done this a number of times in the past with very few problems. Tonight was not one of these times however.For some reason (and this has not happened in the past) when I went to open up Outlook I could not find the program at all. I cannot in fact find any Office programs when I had the full suite installed.When doing this in the past, all my desktop icons remained in tact as did my startup menu. Now, this time, the only thing missing is Office.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOutlook 2003 has been crashing on me, sometimes immediately, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes when I try to drag a message to a folder... I get the "has encounterd an error and needs to close" popup, and can't do anything with the program, so I hit send report. If I have "restart Outlook 2003" checked, it crashes again immediatly upon opening, if I don't, and wait a little while to open it again, it will open, and download my mail, but then as soon as I try to do something, like delete an email or something, it crashes again. IE "soft-crashes" almost immediately every time I open the browser - by this I mean, I get the "has encountered an error and needs to close" popup, but I found that if i just drag the box down to the bottom off the screen, I can continue to browse just fine.

I recently tried to send my daughter a 22 Meg video file by sending it as an attachment to a message in Outlook Express. Now every time I go to OE it is trying to send this message but never succeeds. I just want to cancel sending the message but can't find out how to do.

When I open Outlook Express {email} I keep getting messages that "Outlook Express has encountered a problem and needs to close".....and it does close when I click on send error report. I need help getting my outlook express running correctly. I can''t recieve or send e-mail. errors keep popping up.
When I try to send or receive mail in Outlook Express 6, I get an error message 0x800CCC0D along with socket error 11004. It's telling me the host cannot be found, to check that the server name is entered correctly. This began immediately after I clicked the stop button while I was downloading mail and then clicked on send/receive a minute later. My connection to the internet is fine. I checked all the vital information, POP3, SMTP, my password, everything. I removed all the information from my account and reinstalled it, still the same error!

All the programs on me computer randomal, every now and again (3 times an hour) decide to close with the same lovely error popping up every time about an unexpected error with the 'Send' 'Don't Send' buttons.think I may have two explanations, The RAM, a corrupt system file or a corrupt hard drive.Does anybody have any idea about why this is happening and if so, a solution?

My Internet Explorer 7 browser often freezes and has to be shut down. Usually this happens when a second window or tab is open. I also have Firefox and it will also occasionally say an error has occured and it has to shut down.
