i downloaded a few programs from internet and now i want to delete them from my pc, i go to add-remove programs and i deleted them but when i try to see a photo or a video i see that the programs are still there (not in the remove option) i mean somewhere in the computer, how do i remove everything? where can i go to check that?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded a trial version of Dreamweaver; a 30-day trial. I worked on it a little, then left it alone for a couple of days. Now, when i try to find it, I can't. Searches turn up file folders of several types, but nothing that will allow me to run the program.
Where is it???!!! Why won't a search turn up something...an .EXE file or whatever, that will allow me to access the program. It's hiding somewhere and I can't figure out how to find it. it's far from the thirty days...maybe 10, if that.
Trying to download it again from the site doesn't work; they say that my email is already in use, so they are preventing me from downloading it again. I know I can try to contact them next week, but does anybody have a clue on this?
I downloaded some computer game files and now I am sorry and want to delete them but can't find the files that support them. The shortcut icons appear only on the fifth line of the Mozilla and I.E. browzer home pages. The address line shows the files at http://retrogamer.iwon.com/home.jhtml?tbdd=9197. The files do not appear under C: anywhere and the search function and Control Panel add/remove can't locate them either.

I tried to delete the file, but I get an error message (Cannot Delete File: Cannot read from the source file or disc). If I try to rename the file, it stays highlighted and the error message will not go away. I have to reboot to get the error message off of my desktop. When I click on properties, I'm told the type of file is: "File", and the size, and size on disc is 0 bytes.

If I click on yes or no, in regard to showing all users, I still can't get to the window that shows the programs running. I don't know how this happened, but I did install a new external hard drive. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again." The disc image is not mounted with any program, and hasn't been for some time. finished I can't see it in that folder. Actually I can see hidden files

Since upgrading my computer and reinstalling Windows XP Home with all upgrades, I haven't been able to run executable downloaded files (most recently openoffice but also Google Earth Pro trial). The files download properly but when I try to run them them, I get the message "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
I'm using IE beta 7 but have tried the same process using Firefox. All Windows Updates are complete. Running Norton AV 2003 and NVidia firewall set to Antihacking only.
Downloaded the Belarc Advisor PC Analysis software; saved to C drive, but when I Run the application file I receive an error message with a big red circle with a white X in the middle with the following message: "C: advisor.exe is not a vlid Win 32 application".What is this? How can I get the file to run or for that matter any file to run that I download?
