When I go to driver guide.com and click to download something I come up with a message saying, "Error: documents.getElementsByTagName("title"){0}has no properties. What does this mean?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently had a computer crash and die, it was an old computer, I don't know what went wrong, I don't really care now because I realize it was old and got a new computer. Anyway I knew my hard drive was still good and I have important data on it that I needed, so i removed it and bought a hard drive enclosure. I hooked it up to my new computer and everything is coming up fine, but my "e://documents and settings/owner/" folder. That was the administrative account document folder that I used for my work. When I try to open it it's giving my an 'Access Denied" error. I can access all the other accounts just fine.

After installing the latest update from Microsoft, I am receiving Explorer errors whenever I try to open My Documents, C:, ect. I followed the instructions from the topic that is currently stickied, but after rebooting I received the same error.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Windows XP (Home Edition) Internet explorer (ver 6.x) does not launch. In addition any process that requires explorer will not launch. This includes "My Documents", "Control Panel", and of course Internet Explorer. When I click My Documents, it thinks about it, then all the icons on the desktop disappear for a moment and all that I have is the background image. Then the icons return and Explorer does not open. The error message I get indicates that there is a problem with the ole32.dll file. I’ve run a virus scan and
spyware scan with no luck.
I have windows xp and get a javascript error that says document is null or not an object.

operating system went corrupt on the primary SATA HD in my rig and I was forced to <skips the pointless stuff>...basically here I am installing a fresh XP on a new internal. Meanwhile, I hooked up the old HD to an external to rip off the files. good news is that it was able to be read and I could pull off the files. Program files with preferences for my ggames, pretty much everything... EXCEPT My Documents for the primary user (Brian). It says access is denied to this folder, and is marked as read only. Basically, I need a way to get into that folder and get the information out of it. It has all my school/work files (most of which are backed up but some I need), and I'm not exactly sure how to go about that.

She has been getting a bunch of error messages (IE has encountered a problem and must close). I don't have access to her comp, but wondered if anyone knew of a possible reason. I suggested that she d/l IE 7, however, everytime she tried, she got the same message and was kicked to the "send/don't send" box for the Microsoft "problem" reporting and then to desktop.

On my second hard drive (E I have a folder called My Documents. I know that the normal My Documents link in explorer is some kind of dynamic link because it points to Document and Settings user My Documents.is it possible to change the path that the explorer My Documents use to point somewehre different than the Docs and Settings path.

For some reason, my "shared documents" folder in "my computer" is now called "Documents." Although I am the administrator of this computer, I am unable to access "Documents," (I get this error message: "C: Documents and Settings All users Documents is not accessible. Access is denied" )and furthermore I am unable to change the folder's setting in "sharing and security" to "share" this folder. Additionally, I am blocked from access to the Shared Music and Shared Picture Samples that come installed on XP Pro. Please tell me how I can restore this folder to its original capacity as a "shared documents" folder. I am currently unable to set any of my folders to be shared. I am using XP Pro.
