1. I have two versions of 'Hijack This' on my computer, though every time I click either one of them, its like my computer closes them before they fully load. It happens in both safe mode and regular mode. It's as if the computer knows that Im about to take care of what is wrong and closes them.
View 6 RepliesI have recently loaded my copy of AutocadLt 2002. For about a week it worked fine, but how I have a problem opening Autocad. If I click on the short cut it opens, flashed up the screens, then closed. If I restart the machine 80% of the time I can open Autocad, but when using it, it will suddenly close. I have reinstalled, and repaired the program. No change. I have booted the system and repaired the autocad from the disk today, it has progressed to 99% but hung up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running Win XP Pro SP2. Every 15 minutes or so an unknown program opens itself and then closes. The only thing displayed on the screen is on the start bar. Right next to my currently open programs (or at the beginning if nothing is open) there appears what looks like an open program except with just the white box that is standard for windows when the program (or .exe file) doesn't have an icon. I have searched my PC with AVG antivirus and with both Windows Antispyware and Adaware SE. Nothing was found. I don't notice any other problems with the pc. It's just a very annoying thing that I would like to resolve.

I am currently using the target, "%SystemRoot%explorer.exe /n, /e, C:Program FilesAgent" which expands Program Files only to the extent that Agent is highlighted and expanded. How can I get it to open with all program files visible in the left pane? I must need another switch but don't know what it is or where to put it in the sequence.

I don't want the computer to go off at all unless I turn it off, because I tape a radio program that is on for at least for one hour. I want the program to keep recording until I turn it off. It only does this when it is first switched on for the day and usually within a couple of minutes of starting up, then upon reboot it will last a similar sort of time before shutting down again. I load up my pc like normal. My McAfee had a strange error come up, it said "McAfee Security Center:Your computer is not fully protected". So I clicked it. I try to configure it so that I could get my suite working. Well nothing happened. I pressed auto fix, and it wouldnt work. So the security suite said that i should do a re-install.
I completely removed it through add/remove programs. And tried to do a re install using my disc. It then said that the spam protection would load. Now everytime i try to load my security center, nothing shows. It just sits there.. Well now tonight at 10:59 on March 19 everything went down the hell hole. Now I figured that I was not the only person with this error so I actually found a post

I tried to do what was on the list.
Well what a thing happened. I now can't load any exe, or use and lnk file. It asks me to either choose from list, or search the net. I am in a sticky situation. I can't load regedit, I can't use system restore. I tried to use my dell operating system disc. to reinstall or go to a system restore point by loading up the disc. Well nothing is working, the only thing I can access properly are my flash games, and the internet, by using any address bar.

Whenever she views a folder in her My Pictures folder from Windows Explorer, in Photoshop, or when uploading to something onto the internet, it closes down. To be more specific, in the above three cases it closes Explorer (including the task bar), Photoshop, and the browser, depending on the method of viewing the pictures. It comes up with a submit error dialogue box, which along with the error logs don't seem to help me very much (unless you have a better understanding of them).The only changes I can account for was the instillation of one or two LAN remote viewing programs, although one of them runs as is (so wouldn't count as installing). Before that I uninstalled a lot of programs from that computer because I have this new Vista Ultimate machine and they said they didn't want all that "crap" on that computer anymore. I wouldn't blame them.

Every time I try to play a .mwv file on the internet. internet explorer tells me that it has encountered an error & must close.Windows Media player works off the internet.I have run sfc.I have downloaded ,reinstalled ie 6.1.I have reset all ie defaults.My firewall isnt blocking them.I have scanned my pc with Norton av, Ewido, @ spybot - no probs.There is nothing showing in Hijack this that could cause this.Ive now run out of ideas. View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a server at my home network, running windows XP Pro SP2, and it is configured with 2 users. One Administrator and one user. When I connect using remote desktop, I usually connect as the user (Not Administrator), but lately the command prompt has stopped working on this account. When I type cmd in the run-window, command prompt opens, and about 1/2 sec later, it's closed. If I connect as the Administrator, this problems doesn't exist.I have scanned for viruses, using both my installed Norton Internet Security package, and also using Symantec's online virus-scan. No virus found.

You can't click anything or do anything else. She has lost her XP disk so I can't restore the system. I tried booting up in Safe Mode, but it still freezes on the desktop I am completely clueless on what to do. Is there any software available that could boot from a disk and do something?
