View 14 RepliesI have a 4 year old computer that runs perfectly, except when I turn it off at night and then back on the next day, I loose a few hours on the time date at bottom of screen. I ajust each time I use it but the same thing happens each time I turn it off. Could it be the clock battery or? My operating system is Windows XP Home

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy mouse keeps hanging up and clock loses time when not running in safe mode. Not just the mouse really, but nothing at all works. When I boot normally (not into safe mode), windows can take forever to load due to this. On last boot my clock lost 10 out of 15 minutes uptime and I had to manually power off even then. I am running Windows XP Service pack 2 on a AMD Athlon 64 3800+ system with 1214 mb mem 150 gig hdd.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed Paint Shop Pro 8 and a patch to PSP8, when I returned to my desktop, this horrible, empty green bar had taken over the bottom of my desktop. there is nothing on this bar except for the MS flag on the left side. Clicking it allows me to reveal my programs menu,but I have no idea what is open because nothing shows on this bar. I can neither move the bar or see underneath it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWindows XP SP2. Over the course of about 8 hours overnight, my system clock will fall back about 45 minutes to 2 hours. For example, it might be 8am, but the clock will say 6am until I fix it. As you can imagine, this is pretty annoying. It happens all the time. It appears to be a gradual change, not a big jump. I think the clock either freezes or runs too slowly.

Just installed a brand new copy of Windows XP Pro and find that the system tray is missing a couple of items that I would expect to see there. One is the clock, and the other is the icon that shows whether I am connected to the internet or not.

But believe it or not it runs pretty good.
