C000021 Unknown Hard Error: Ntdll.dll

Getting a strange error in Dell Inspiron 9300, running some version of XP, and that's all that I know.
When you turn on his computer, you see the Dell startup-screen for a second, and then it automatically brings you to the prompt that says "We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully." window. There are obviously 5 options: Safe Mode, SM with Networking, SM with Command Prompt, Last Known Good Configuration, and Start Windows Normally. Each one of those brings me to the blue screen that says:

I searched on other forums, and it seems that this is what people have done to fix this: either try to Repair Windows, reinstall Windows, manually replace ntdll.dll (if they can actually get into Windows, which I can't), or do something with their memory cards, I'm not sure what.
Are those approaches I listed correct? And 2nd, I don't want to have to mess with my friend's memory if I don't have to.I'm not too much of a tech person. I do, however, have my family's Windows XP Home Edition install CD with me.if I put that into his computer, and try to repair Windows, would that work?

2 seagate baracuda RAID 0 array 120G each so 240 total, only 1 partition.
I have never formatted. It started showing problems when I tried to install drivers for the graphics card. I could never get the drivers to work properly, now my framerate drops every few seconds in every game. I decided it was time to format it after I left alone for a few months.
This is the process I followed:
1-) Enter Windows XP SP3 CD in drive.
2-) Boot from CD.
3-) Windows Set Up appears and loads it's files.
At this point, I get the message "Starting Windows" which usually comes right before the Set up screen where I could format but I get an error (blue screen) that says
unknown hard error, NTDLL.DLL

a few hour ago i was playing a movie with real player then a message came up asking me to insert the serverice pack 2 disk or the comp will became unstable.because i dont have it i clicked cancel.the the comp begin to load some unknow program and became very slow. so i switched off the power . and now it kept restarting even if i try to enter safe mode.
It also say "Stop:C0000219 unknown hard error"

When I run a game called GTR2, the game freezes when it tries to access a file that draws a race track. The error message "Windows has encountered an error..." shows that the error is caused by the ntdll.dll file. Is the file corrupt?

I am not sure I am in the correct forum, but I recently started having a problem with an application starting to load and then a message coming up stating that there was a problem with the "ntdll.dll" file.
I even located a copy to download, placed that in the WindowsSystem32 folder and each time I continue to attempt to launch this application, it partially starts up, then hangs and then gives me the error message.
Is there something I am not doing correctly? Any suggestions? It had been working just fine for the past year or so and about a month ago, BOOM, this error message came up.

something really weird is happening to my pc.in my hard drive, with a size is 60 gb, i have a folder, inside my docs, that says that i have 42 gb of things. but when a look inside that folder there is nothing. i saw in each folder inside documents and setings and nothing.i saw in temps folders inside of windows folder and i ran the windows utility to clean up and mantainance of my hard drive and i got nothing as a result.i tried crap cleaner, and its usefull, but the problem persist. i dont have a lot of apps installed or mp3 org jpg, files, so i dont know how to start.

I created a mess (but I'm learning more each day), and after a week got it going at least, but on boot got messagae "primary hard disc drive 1 not found" which required clicking F1 to continue. I ended up reinstalling XP, got everything up and running, but still have the HD message at each boot. I've passed all of the diagnostics in Set-Up, and found nothing on any of the troubleshooting sites that helped. Set-up says: Primary Drive 0 - Hard Drive; Primary Drive 1 - Unknown Device; Secondary Drives 0 adn 1 are both CD-ROM Readers. Everything works just fine, but I'd like to figure the drive problem. I had to create a partition for the reinstall - had no choice.

How can I get rid of RUN DLL? I get this message: Error Loading C: Progra~ |MYWEB ~|ar2.bin MYSBAR ~|.DLL on my desktop at startup. I went to Internet Explorer>Tools>Manage Add-Ons and disabled the MYWEB program. Then I went to control panel>Add or Remove Programs and tried to uninstall the MYWEB Popular Screensavers program but it would not let me. It said the specified module could not be found. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition.

problem with internet explorer. when i close ie, it shows an error message like this, "The instruction at"0x0291341a" referenced memory at "0x029c2b18". The memory could not be read". Then after i just left with ok button to go with. if i click 10-15 times on the same till that it will continuously shows message and then after it works well. I have three (3) questions:1. When I'm closing down Windows XP (Home Edition), I continually receive an error showing "XtkU.exe" cannot. I have checked everywhere and cannot find out what this file is associated with. In addition I have gone through my system and purged all files associated with this executable from the registry. They pop right back in there with a system restart. I'm lost and confused now because I don't know what application uses this file.2. When closing down I receive the same Norton error message another user gets."ccaps.exe" at signoff. I will try and remove Norton to see if that works. 3. The user "quick switch" does not work any longer. I am not sure what is causing that either. Do you think it may be associated with the WtkU file?

XP reinstall won't validate so that I can get updates. It is a legal copy and I had no problem activating windows. However when I tried to validate it for updates it keeps telling me there is an unknown error and validation could not be completed.

I have a Windows XP machine that keeps coming up with an ntdll.dll error. It happens in a couple places. Either at boot up after logon or when I'm using Internet Explorer.

I have a problem with an application starting to load and then a message coming up stating that there was a problem with the "ntdll.dll" file.
I even located a copy to download, placed that in the WindowsSystem32 folder and each time I continue to attempt to launch this application, it partially starts up, then hangs and then gives me the error message.
Is there something I am not doing correctly? Any suggestions? It had been working just fine for the past year or so and about a month ago, BOOM, this error message came up.

I am trying to copy/paste a clean ntdll.dll into the Windows/System32 folder and to no surprise I cannot as the message I get is another resource is using that file. How can I determine what resource(s) and if so, am I able to disable it in order to replace that file?
I'm doing so as per Windows explorer errors that nobody can seem to resolve and I really dont want to reinstall Windows, I just did it about 7 or 8 months ago.

When I right click almost anything I get the explorer has encountered a problem and has to close. always the faulting module kernel32.dll. Then immediately another box appears with the drwatson postmortem debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close, I then have to ctrl alt del to close the drwtsn.exe and get my desktop back.
I have been having problems in psp7 with ntdll being the faulting module.
I run the bare minimum start up programs and have ran all virus and spyware scans. I have googled this problem until.
Im running windows xp pro sp2. AMD 2400
Have loads of disk space and plenty of free RAM.LV.

I've been experiencing random crashes of Explorer.exe, and when looking at the Application window of the Event Viewer it details this:
Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.1106, fault address 0x00001d24.
I searched around the internet and found no real answer, there's some solutions which require using the Data Execution Prevention tab with SP2, and adding explorer.exe to the list. I plan to try this, but I was wondering, would replacing ntdll.dll with another computer's possibly fix the problem? It's been an annoyance now for a month, and I've ran every virus scan, every spyware/malware/ware-ness program known to man, to no avail.

When in Windows Explorer (XP Pro) and burrowing through folders I get the following error:
Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Details:

I can make it happen consistently by going to the eighth level of sub-folders.It just closes Explorer and then everything comes back up (except for Explorer or my email if I was attaching a file).
I have tried everything, including a reparative install of Windows XP Pro. I have run sfc /scannow. I try to do regsvr32 ntdll.dll and I get the following error:
ntdll.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. The file can not be registered.
I have run Ad Aware SE, SpySweeper and Spybot (and even a TDS-3 full system scan). Spyware/virus is not the problem. Caches/temps are cleared, she defrags fine. This is a Dell Latitude 600m 1.6GHz 768MB.

I uninstalled some preloaded Windows programs, I reinstalled some of them, but now my laptop's all funny. When I connect to The Internet, any program that I open freezes for like 10 minutes, after which it unfreezes. During this time I normally restart my computer, with no success. If I open Windows Live Messenger and Internet Explorer 7 together it freezes normally. Pinball, WordPad, Sound Recorder, and Volume Control cannot be restored. Also, I tried using my Toshiba Recovery DVD, with no success. It says Loading RAMDISK Image, then it reboots and loads the exact same system with no changes made.

I have reinstalled firefox but i just got another error report modname: firefox.exe
My computer has started playing up, I've been getting bluescreens like its a buffer overlow but before this happens a program usually closes with an error and when i view this error using tech info for it usually logs to temp/8262_appcompat.txt . Windows has been closing programs randomly with an error report usually due to a .dll file.

Lately I'm getting the "I.E. has encountered a problem and needs to close" message so of course I lose what I had open and have to start over. It's not doing it constantly or consistant on the same websites but it is at least a few to several times a day now. It seems to do it most often when leaving a site and trying to go back to whatever preceeded it especially if I click the back button more than once(unnecessary habit I know).
Here is the info shown for the problem:

Modver:5.1.2600.2180 offset:0003426d
The offset # is the only one that is different each time it comes up.
* I've ran the Norton system scan a few times( just their regular version, not their registry cleaner)
* ran CW Schredder
* ran Ad Aware
* Keep Spyware Blaster up to date
* and tried CCcleaner
None of which made any difference.

Using Windows XP Home/SP2 on a Compaq laptop.Automatic updates have been happening regularly. I am running AVG Antivirus (free version) on it.
I was running a financial package i.e. a programme of writing account books i.e. Tally version 5.4 on it. It has been running fine for last two years. Now after two three months, when I tried to use it, it opened up and closed down on my face immediately. I kept on trying to run it and it gave me message:
"WTALLY caused an access violation in ntdll.dll at 0x7c911404.
Click on Close to terminate
Click on cancel to debug
Click on Ignore to Continue, you should save your work in a new file."
I clicked on ignore but it halted and ultimately I had to either canel it or close it. Yes out of twelve thirteen times of my attempts to run it, made it run only for once. After that the result is the same.
This programme runs in Safe Mode.
I think, the problem could be because of automatic updates. Some update has put a patch or like that on some file which has caused erratic or restrained working of some component.
I checked I have ntdll.dll file in my windows's system directory and two more places. And from one site, I downloaded the ntdll.dll file but has not replaced the one in my system. My second question is :
HOW safe it is to replace ntdll.dll with the new file I downloaded from the net.
