Apr 26, 2008i have a toshiba satellite a25-s307 and when i turn it on it just keeps restarting it doesnt even get to the welcome screen before it restarts.

Satellite A25-S307-no Drivers For Ethernet Or Wireless Card?
Jun 29, 2009recently wiped Toshiba Satellite A25-S307 notebook and installed Windows XP Pro. Now we find that there are no drivers for the internet: no wireless card driver, no ethernet controller driver. Cannot even find out the names of some of the lost drivers! Here is the "Problem Devices" list: Base System Device Ethernet Controller Not Available (this is what it says in the list!)PCI Modem Video Controller
Here are some drivers we know we need but cannot find: realtek rtl8139/810x family fast ethernet NIC Trident Cyberblade XP2 AGP 4x The major issue is no internet connectivity means we cannot use one of the driver scanner software out there. Every utility I find requires me to be able to connect to the internet on the affected machine!
Toshiba M35 Shown Blue Screen On Start Up
Feb 4, 2008I tried to boot from the XP CD, and it does the whole blue screen thing until starting windows then it just hangs up. When I boot in safe mode, or attempt to, it gets stuck on system32driversagp440.sys.

Feb 27, 2008I was trying to install Vista in my laptop and it did not work for no reason, now the DVD-Ram driver dooes not work and I can not use my cd/dvd unit at all, does read nothing. Oct 28, 2007The Toshiba Power Saver is set for the screen and HDD to shut off after 30 minutes of no activity. The screen saver is set to go after 10 minutes but after 30 minutes the screen saver stops and the normal screen comes up. I tried setting to a different power setting by right clicking the desktop and going to properties and setting it to "Portable/Laptop" but it did the same thing. Is there a way to fix this? My OS is XP Media Center and my Toshiba Satellite is a A100/A105 series.

When i go to burn a dvd now or even a cd it tells me to attach an external drive, or the area where you choose which location to burn to is greyed out. I can't seem to look up the model number on the Toshiba website, the number on my receipt is A70wb200e, while the number i brought up using the system itself is mfwt020acp08.

Mar 22, 2007I have Windows XP Home Edition on a Toshiba Satellite A35-S159. When I open My Computer, there is a category named Other and under it there is a hard disk icon I think with a red circle over it. In the red circle is a white question mark. I have tried to use disk manager to delete it but it does not show up there. I have also tried using partition magic t delete it but it doesn't see it until I create a AF format partition. Then when I restart, it claims to be it but I still can not delete it in partition magic, on rebot, it says it is not visible and even when partition magic sees it, disk manager does not. Has anyone encountered this and know how to get rid of it. I have also tried ad-aware and hijack this but neither found it. Please help, this thing is driving me nuts!

May 4, 2009I have a Toshiba Satellite A205-S5000 with Vista home on it and it works OK, but I bought a larger HDD and I thought that I would put Windows XP PRO on it, I went from a Hitachi 160GB 2.5" SATA drive to a 250GB drive, same Manufacturer, the only difference in the drives is the original was a SATA 1.50 and the new drive is a 3.0, BIOS see's the drive and the XP disk does al the usual stuff, then it asks if you want to Install windows on it, so I click OK and then it says the windows cannot detect any HDD and aborts the installation, I know that the 2 SATA's are compatible and the only draw back is that the 3.0 may operate in the 1.5 mode in the worse case scenario, but windows doesn't see the drive at all.

Even since my last windows update, it became awfully slow and it started giving me blue screen errors at boot time .once in a while. I would say that about 1 in 2 times, it wouldn't boot. Then I would try "last known good configuration" or just start normally and after a few tries, it would work. But since the last windows updates this morning (july 13th), I cannot boot without getting a blue screen error. The best I can do is boot in safe mode about once very two tries.

Computer will not boot in safe mode or last known good configuration. I have decided that I will need to reload windows but have several very important files on hard drive that I need to get off first. As it stands, I have 2.5" drive loaded into external hard drive enclosure. Only problem is that 2.5" drive has drive letter of C: like every other computer I have in my house. Is there anyway to change this letter to view files via usb enclosure? Any way to change drive path of C: volume on any other computer?

Mar 11, 2006Recently, my laptop hasn't been shutting down properly. Whenever I go to turn it off it doesn't respond, so you have to keep going to start-turn off-turn off over and over again. Either that happens or when I try to turn it off I get the 'End Now' program box coming up with something about ending ccAp, the odd thing is that yesterday it shut down without a problem, which is the first time in a few days that it's done that, and today it's gone funny again!
