Computer boots to blue screen after showing Windows splash screen and then immediately restarts. Windows Stop code 0X0000007E (0X80000003, 0X805C370C, 0XBACCB2B4, 0XBACCAFB0). Computer will not boot in safe mode or last known good configuration. I have decided that I will need to reload windows but have several very important files on hard drive that I need to get off first. As it stands, I have 2.5" drive loaded into external hard drive enclosure. Only problem is that 2.5" drive has drive letter of C: like every other computer I have in my house. Is there anyway to change this letter to view files via usb enclosure? Any way to change drive path of C: volume on any other computer?
I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite P20 (PSP26C-0JQRT7), it's running Windows XP Media Center. Even since my last windows update, it became awfully slow and it started giving me blue screen errors at boot time .once in a while. I would say that about 1 in 2 times, it wouldn't boot. Then I would try "last known good configuration" or just start normally and after a few tries, it would work. But since the last windows updates this morning (july 13th), I cannot boot without getting a blue screen error. The best I can do is boot in safe mode about once very two tries.
Toshiba Laptop My buddy just came over and has his Toshiba Laptop and it is having a blue screen stop error. Wanna see if we can get some help.He has windows 2000.you turn it on and it goes through every thing and then you put your password in and get to the desk top and all that is ok, when you click to get on the internet it would flash a blue screen and then shutdown. I went into system and advanced and unchecked auto reboot so now it doesn't shut down but you get the blue screen and you can't go anywhere when it comes up.
I am trying to fix a friends notebook but every time I turn on the computer it takes me to the safe mode selection and which ever mode I select, it starts loading but breaks out to the blue screen with the following error: 0x001902030x8e572b80xc00001020x00000000. I had this machine about a month ago and after checking the Hd and cleaning it I uninstalled Norton security and installed avira. I took it back to him and I thought everything was OK but he said he had put it in a closet for a couple of weeks and when he tried to turn it on it stopped on the Blue screen every time. I would run chkdsk /f if I could get to the CMD prompt but can never get past this error. 0x001902030x8e572b80xc00001020x00000000 Anyone have any advice for me. I don't have his XP disk but can probably get it if I need to.
So, a friend is looking to get a new laptop with a 17" display. I found this Toshiba Satellite model at BestBuy for $699: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1212192350169It comes with Windows Vista pre-installed. I went to the Toshiba support page for the laptop and found only ONE Windows XP driver and that's for the built-in modem. The bulk of the drivers are for Vista.What would the chances of actually getting Windows XP to fully function on this laptop? Where would I go for XP drivers for things like the ATI video adapter, the network adapters (Wi-Fi and Ethernet), and so on?
We have a two year old Toshiba laptop, my son tried to clean the screen and cracked it. I have about 2 inches that I can see.I want to connect it to an external monitor, when I hook it up, I can only see on the external screen until it boots up and then it clicks over to the lap top.
I tried to boot from the XP CD, and it does the whole blue screen thing until starting windows then it just hangs up. When I boot in safe mode, or attempt to, it gets stuck on system32driversagp440.sys.
I'm currently on the phone with my sister. She has a Toshiba laptop that only once in a blue moon will boot into windows so she decided to reformat it.She put in the Toshiba recovery DVD and its definitely booting up from the DVD but shortly after the loading message comes up she says she gets a blue screen saying something about plug and play.I tried searching goggle for errors about the recovery DVD but nothing that seems to connect to her problem. there is nothing connected to it.
I have a Toshiba Satellite A15-S129 that i bought a couple of years ago. When i go to start up, it shows the windows xp loading screen. But it then flashes a black then blue screen for a split second. The computer shuts down then starts up again and does the same thing, over and over.

I normally have virtual memory disabled but I enabled it and launched/exited l4d about 25 times before I got it to blue screen and get a dump file. Otherwise my computer is solid. Running windows xp sp3 with all the latest patches, vira/malware free. Asus P5k-deluxe with q6600, 2gb crucial memory.
I already run memtest86 for 16+ hours. no errors, prime95 torture test for 12 hours no errors. As stated this only happens immediately after i launch l4d, if it doesn't blue screen on startup. it runs fine. I ran dumpchk to try and get an idea of what driver is causing the crash, but I really have no idea what to look for in the output. I also play css, which uses the same game engine as l4d and never have any problems with it. I attached my dump file, any help would be appreciated.
To make a verrrrry long story short, I've been getting the "Blue Screen of Death" messages every time I try to run a program which requires 512MB RAM or more to run. I have 2GB of RAM.
I've been having BSODs since I built my system nine months ago, and I'm at a complete loss as to what's wrong. Just recently I RMA'd my motherboard as a last-ditch attempt at a fix because I couldn't find anything wrong. Every blue screen is an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. My device drivers are all up to date. My BIOS is up to date. I've run about 20 memtests and all come back clean. I've run diagnostics on my hard drives and all come back clean.
I got my motherboard back from the manufacturer in the beginning of December. My first blue screen after that was yesterday, after I used Registry Booster to clean my registry. I restored the files since I'd hoped that I'd removed something accidentally. I just received a second one about a half hour ago. I reset, and the system hung when Windows was trying to load. I reset again, got the message that Windows didn't start normally and the system hung at the 27 second countdown to choose how to load Windows. Whenever I try to reinstall Windows via CD boot up or desktop, I get the following BSOD, All error codes are from one "Blue Screen 0x0000008E 0XC0000005 0X77520892 0XF700AA1C 0X000000000 This BSOD appears between the switch over from Windows loading basic startup drivers etc to the Blue GUI screen where you would choice to repair or new install.Even after I remove All the hardware such as video, sound etc cards, along with changing out hard drives and connecting only 1 CD drive

I understand that the system and everything is old, but it's all I've got to work with right now.I have a Compaq Evo N800C running Windows 2000 Professional.I've tried every option in the F8 & F10 setups, everything takes me back to the blue screen. I know I read that this might be a virus. whenever I start the Laptop it goes to a blue screen and there is a stop error and just stays there until i have to manually restart then goes to the blue screen again.I stupidly pressed install when a pop-up came for the anti-virus xp 2008 spyware came up and since then tried to get rid of it and after a few restarts I got the blue screen.Is there a way to fix this? I'm fine with reinstalling windows but dont know how form here or if it will fix the problem.

I have an external 500g hard drive connected at all times. i run mozilla with ABP running and have done a full scan using esset antivirus( which detected 2 probs and deleted them) and have run Super anti spyware full clean with clear report.
I have a Sony laptop - PCG-Z1RSP with windows XP. I was using the internet when suddenly it shut down. Now i can't boot it up - as soon as it gets to the loading up windows part the deaded blue screen appears but only for a split second and then laptop restarts. This is very worrying. Anything I can do?? Can I check the hardrive by pressing F4 etc at the before it tries to boot up?
I have a Dell Inspiron 6400/1505. I reformatted my hard drive twice just so that I don't have to see the dreaded blue screen pop up. Yet, my laptop freezes up and goes to the blue screen and states that there is a Kernel Data Inpage Error.
While running about a week ago, the monitor simply quit displaying anything. Now, when I boot up the laptop, it shows the BOIS icons and the Windows XP splash screen, but when it should show the logon screen (I have two user accounts on the box) the monitor goes blank. I have a toshiba satellia M40X laptop. Couple of weeks ago, it all of a sudden realy slowed down. The movies were laggin, and surfin the internet was taking forever and everything was slow, so i decided to format it. But even right after the reformatting, the laptop didn't go back to it's regular speed. it's so bad that the flash games online lag, and i've been playin those games since i got the laptop and they never lagged... Anyways i've been trying to fix the slow problem but today i got the blue screen when i was surfing the internet.
My HP laptop, model ZE4800 will not boot into XP. When you start it, it goes to the dreaded blue screen, and then restarts. We have tried all the "safe mode" options, but get the same result.If you try to press F2 or F10 when it starts, all we get is a loud beeping sound.Does anyone have any idea how to get this thing up and running?
