Dec 22, 2009I have frequently been getting BSOD that crashes the computer, and it has to reboot. it usually happens in games, or when I try to alt-f4 out of games.

Jul 26, 2009In my Event Viewer under "system" I am getting these constant errors logged at about 12 per second with the big red X saying "Service Control Manager, ID 7001." It is happening whenever I am connected to the internet by e-mail or my browser, which is IE7.What in the world is going on?? No noticeable symptoms, except when it first started I was at Expedia.com and my browser (IE) started acting slow and weird. That was fixed when I re-started but the red error thingys are still logging 12 per second under "system" when on e-mail or the internet.

Sep 11, 2010I cannot open my task manager or my control panel, when ever I try to open them, it says that the administrator has deleted it or something like that(not sure, the fact that I have a Japanese computer)?I have looked all around the internet for a solution and I found the REGEDIT option but I cannot open REGEDIT for some reason.Please help. Every thing else works fine but I just need help fixing this problem. Well this is a custom made computer so and I don't know how to open the system information.

Dec 4, 2006So I'm trying to boot my laptop after a severe error in judgment and I'm getting an error before Windows can load that says Code: Service Manager Initialization has terminated unexpectedly with error code 0xc000003aIs there anything I can do about this? I've tried repairing the boot sectors (which I realize aren't at fault) and placed autochk.exe in every directory I can think of (Windows was reporting that it couldn't find it). If I run a chkdsk or scandisk in the recovery console will this be fixed? Or am I doomed to reinstall? This isn't bad since I can simply reinstall and not lose too much, but I'd like another option.

Jan 6, 2005Initially while on XP Home 1Service Pack I was able to cancel any task running shown in the Task Manager window (alt-ctrl-del). About three weeks ago I started getting "unable to terminate process" message when trying to cancel a SYSTEM task (i.e. javaw). This is still the case. I have since installed the SP2 on my PC.My logon is as an administrator and has been all along. I did not change any settings that could have caused this problem.Is there a setting that I am overlooking that controls this ability?

Jul 23, 2008window loads, sits, finally other half will load, mouse just doesn't seem to do anything so you click again and 3 minutes later 2 of whatever will finally open... just annoying crap really A few days ago comcast went off and I had to unplug modem, wait, then plug back up and restart system. I got a "Disk read error press control, alt, delete, to restart"
error, tried that same thing so I shut down and when I turned back on it booted fine. I have since moved... just set up the system and am getting the same error except this time shutdown/restart isn't working ( The OTHER problem I realize is this... this is a tempory move! Most everything I own is in a storage unit, boxes to the back, furniture to the front and guess where my disks are? Right! I put printer, shredder, disks, everything I didn't just HAVE to have in the storage unit.

Dec 5, 2006When I turn my pc and windows loads up an error message appears saying that windows service pack 2 setup has encountered an error and has to close. However when I close the error message it keeps popping up every 20 seconds or so. When I went to microsofts website that told me that service pack 2 was installed on my pc. I have ran a full viral scan using the latest version of Panda and have also ran Reg-cure to see if the problem was in the registry but the error message still keeps popping up.

My Problem is that when I press Ctrl/Alt/Del for my task manager all I get is the LAN AREA CONNECTION box which I am unable to close without a reboot. This started at the same time as a browser hijack which I have now cured, related or coincidence I don`t know. Can anybdy help in getting me back to a fully accessable task manager.
