Can somebody please help with the following annoying little problem I am encountering? I can't seem to detect and repair the source of the aforementioned titled 'Error Message'. The message reads (exactly) as follows: "The Cfg Registry key denied access to SYSTEM account programs so the Service Control Manager took ownership of the Registry key". It sounds a bit spooky and has got me completely baffled and bemused?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my Event Viewer under "system" I am getting these constant errors logged at about 12 per second with the big red X saying "Service Control Manager, ID 7001." It is happening whenever I am connected to the internet by e-mail or my browser, which is IE7.What in the world is going on?? No noticeable symptoms, except when it first started I was at Expedia.com and my browser (IE) started acting slow and weird. That was fixed when I re-started but the red error thingys are still logging 12 per second under "system" when on e-mail or the internet.

I haven't got speakers attached, I just use the internal one.It still bleeps occasionally but I found that I couldn't play any music or computer sounds.I investigated a bit further by going to the Sound and Audio Devices icon in the control panel where I discovered that there is 'No Audio Device' and no list of devices in the Hardware tab.

I cannot open my task manager or my control panel, when ever I try to open them, it says that the administrator has deleted it or something like that(not sure, the fact that I have a Japanese computer)?I have looked all around the internet for a solution and I found the REGEDIT option but I cannot open REGEDIT for some reason.Please help. Every thing else works fine but I just need help fixing this problem. Well this is a custom made computer so and I don't know how to open the system information.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I'm trying to boot my laptop after a severe error in judgment and I'm getting an error before Windows can load that says Code: Service Manager Initialization has terminated unexpectedly with error code 0xc000003aIs there anything I can do about this? I've tried repairing the boot sectors (which I realize aren't at fault) and placed autochk.exe in every directory I can think of (Windows was reporting that it couldn't find it). If I run a chkdsk or scandisk in the recovery console will this be fixed? Or am I doomed to reinstall? This isn't bad since I can simply reinstall and not lose too much, but I'd like another option.

View 5 Replies View RelatedInitially while on XP Home 1Service Pack I was able to cancel any task running shown in the Task Manager window (alt-ctrl-del). About three weeks ago I started getting "unable to terminate process" message when trying to cancel a SYSTEM task (i.e. javaw). This is still the case. I have since installed the SP2 on my PC.My logon is as an administrator and has been all along. I did not change any settings that could have caused this problem.Is there a setting that I am overlooking that controls this ability?

I got a "Disk read error press control, alt, delete, to restart"
error, tried that same thing so I shut down and when I turned back on it booted fine. I have since moved... just set up the system and am getting the same error except this time shutdown/restart isn't working ( The OTHER problem I realize is this... this is a tempory move! Most everything I own is in a storage unit, boxes to the back, furniture to the front and guess where my disks are? Right! I put printer, shredder, disks, everything I didn't just HAVE to have in the storage unit.
p3 800mhz,256 ram and 80gb harddisk.when you open corel 11 files and sometimes when you start windows, this pop up message appears on the desktop and system stops responding and a restart is required.and finally the windows crashed showing only a blank desktop.

View 14 Replies View RelatedWhen I turn my pc and windows loads up an error message appears saying that windows service pack 2 setup has encountered an error and has to close. However when I close the error message it keeps popping up every 20 seconds or so. When I went to microsofts website that told me that service pack 2 was installed on my pc. I have ran a full viral scan using the latest version of Panda and have also ran Reg-cure to see if the problem was in the registry but the error message still keeps popping up.

My Problem is that when I press Ctrl/Alt/Del for my task manager all I get is the LAN AREA CONNECTION box which I am unable to close without a reboot. This started at the same time as a browser hijack which I have now cured, related or coincidence I don`t know. Can anybdy help in getting me back to a fully accessable task manager.
