Installshield Process In FRENCH Instead Of English

I just worked on trying to set up the latest WHQL certified video card drivers for my nVidia Geforce FX 5200. The Installshield process comes up in FRENCH instead of English. I have the English US version of Windows XP Pro. I download the US English version of the drivers. I live in Canada, so I am able to understand French and the install did install the English version of the drivers/files. How can I fix this, so it is back in English?

If I have a Windows XP Pro CD in English with a valid key, and that I change my CD for a Windows XP Pro French CD, will the key still be valid?

Found a laptop with french qwerty keyboard here and cannot figure out how to set it in winxp. It has these chars on top row:&é"'(-è_çà)=(numbers are shifted) the second row has: azertyuiop^$* the third:asdfghjkl!ù.

Booting up a Dell Dimension 9100. It has been working fine for 2 weeks since reformatting. Today, I tried to boot the machine and it gave the ntldr missing error message but it was in french. I put the install disk in and ran the fixboot and chkdsk utilities from command line. It booted up and ran fine. I shut down and tried to reboot again and the error message appeared again. Corrupt bios? I plan on updating the bios tomorrow and trying that. I have never seen a bios error message appear in French. Has anyone ever seen this before?

spell check for emails indicates that there is no dictionary and when I check Tools etc the language is only in French

System Idle Process is at top of processes tab in windows task manager. I've read in an earlier post this causes cpu spikes. should I just highlight it and click end process? or is there something else I need to do.

I'm using a WinXP-pro PC, and Office 2003 and wondered if someone knows about the "Install Shield Update Manager? A pop-up in the bottom right (same place where incoming emails pop up by fading-in-fading-out) just appeared that said "Install Shield needs to check for updates", then it faded back down into the task bar as an icon (navy blue swirl) next to the icons like Outlook, McAfee, volume control, etc.If you drag over the icon, it's name is "InstallShield Update Manager".Is this a virus? How did it get into the task bar? There's no corresponding email in the inbox, so it's not from an email, right? Does it belong to Sonic--the only other software maker I know that has an "Update Manager." Do I really need an update? If not, how do I get rid of it forever?

we need to change the OS language from Spanish to English I have already gone to Control Pannel and changed the regional settinbgs, I also went to language in internet options and inserted English nothing worked, also inserted the XP disk and got a message in spanish that I think was telling me to contact microsoft, there were no options like REPAIR or install

I am using the Mozilla Firefox browser and aside from security/virus issues I also wanted this browser because somewhere along the line, I read somewhere that it had a spell checker. I have looked through their extensions website but didn't find an English dictionary, found several languages out there but not English.

Some strange reason my windows wont install English United Kingdom as my regional locale it will change keyboard and everything else just not that. so when i install programs that do multi language it does arabic instead. It is driving me nuts because the message i keep getting is "Setup was unable to install the chosen locale. Please contact your systems Administrator" i am the admin i am thinking i may need to edit the registry but i am not experienced enough to be doing it.

Using WinXP and OE as the mail program.When in mail program and choose, Tools>Options>Spelling and the 3rd choice in the dialog boxlisted is languages. This is where the problem is. I don't have the choice of English to choose from, ONLY French is the single choice when thumbnail is clicked. This controls mychoices in spell checker.Does anyone know how I can get English back on here as a choice as we have no use for the French choices in using the spell checker.This PC came pre-loaded with WINxp and OE from Dell so we have no installation CD.

I recently have purchased a new pc for gaming. I live in the Netherlands and my windows xp pro came in Dutch. Now I would prefer to have it in english. I look on the microsoft site and there were language interface packages. I tried one for german and afrikaans and they work fine. The english one however is not there, it takes me to a readme html file for some reason.

I have a valid installation of Windows XP Home in English with CD. I received "Uniblue Registry Booster 2010" in Spanish on a CD. if I install "Uniblue Registry Booster in Spanish on a Window XP platform that is in English, will the registry repair software be able to read the registry keys to repair/clean. Or must you have a Windows platform in Spanish for a registry repair/cleaner in Spanish.

I found that my XP (English version) is not able to put non-English characters in correct order, so that my Thai dictionary doesn't work properly.Here are some details.In Thai language, some vowels are on the left side of consonant, but when ordering those words with vowels on the left side, we don't consider the vowel is the first character, but XP does. I need to introduce 3 Thai characters in order to illustrate this problem more clearly.is the first consonant in Thai language, ข is the second, ไ is a vowel which is on the left side of consonant, such as ไก and ไข. Now we put these 2 consonants and 2 words in proper order,In the shop where I bought that dictionary, it works pretty well, but I didn't notice what system is was.

I can no longer install any program with installshield. The process goes about 3/4th the way through and hangs up, no error message, it just stops. I have been able to install a program in safe mode but the program then does not work correctly. I also tried to uninstall a program and that process hangs up also.

The DVD drive is not working properly, and it APPEARS to be related to an error with Windows Installer. I can read files on a storage disk in the drive, but any install disk brings up "InstallShield Setup Launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close." I have done the following with no effect: - Run Windows Install cleanup - Downloaded and installed Windows Installer 4.5 - Made sure the Installer Service is set to Automatic - Scanned with AVG, Superantispyware, Spybot, and Advanced System Optimizer - Unregistered, then registered the Windows Installer Service - Made sure all Windows updates are updated This may provide a clue, however, if it's related. When running Windows Update, the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 and 3.5 Family Update will not install.

I have a problem with accented characters. When I write myself, If I use Times New Roman all accented characters will be changed to some strange symbol. Even if I change the character with the dictionary program, it will automatically change back to the strange symbols. This problem I have overcome, by using ARIAL. The real problem is, that the e-mail I receive in aforeign language, it has the same strange characters. I have also installed on Oxford English-Spanish dictionary. Even the writing on this dictionary gets changed from the original characters. This is an example (Desesperaciçn) the o gets changed into a ç. Or an è gets also changed into ç. If I log into a non English WWW site, even on those pages it will change the accented characters to some strange simbols.
